As always I get a good chuckle at the intro when you laff after welding 😂😂 looks like a good product and thanks for the tip of using a plumb Bob ( string and a big nut ) to locate plumb for the holes
wish i knew about this gate hinge kit a week ago, i lived the usual nightmare trying to hang a gate, keep up the great content mate - Rob (Century Rain)
Good morning, Tim, excellent video, I have really struggled with the previous gate hinge kit that you had there at the start of the video. I will be getting a couple of the kits just to have for my next fence & gate job. Cheers, and love the channel.
I like the idea of this hinge kit. The standard hinge kit I use has a few draw backs, like the latch for the top hook sometimes flies off making the gate moving and the gudgeon pin being relatively short. I hope the rototech kit can hold the weight of the gate, after it was installed for a while and swung open and close many times.
I’ve got a 1m spirit level with 2 holes in it distance apart to match top and bottom hinge of gate . Tek screw through top hole of spirit level to post set vertical bubble then screw through bottom hole , then remove leaving marks for mount holes
Gday Tim, nice design hinge kit. I notice you install the gate between the gate posts rather than on the side. Is there any reason for this? I was always taught to install on the side of the post, which allows the gate to swing 180 deg. That way when you're moving livestock through a gateway, there's no way for animals to get behind the gate. Keep up the good work

Nice. I’ve hinged a lot of gates on timber posts with the traditional hinge kits and can see the speed benefits with this one

2:20 "I'd rather a tight hole than a sloppy one any day" Put that on a t-shirt. 😅🤣😂
Hmmm good idea.
Cum on Tim. This is a family show.
Nothing wrong with a sloppy hole. 🤤
Acme thread is a great idea.
Great video as usual Tim keep em coming. Cheers.
very interesting - we pretty much as standard have 2 hole only hanging kits here in the UK.
Almost all 4 pin or bolt on here.

Yeah I’ve done that as this gateway is used to get the tractor into the vineyard so I want to be able to drive up to it either way
I love this kit. This simplicity of it, brilliant 👏.... tight hole 🤣🤣🤣
That would be a nut at both ends of the string
And a third one watching them both…. 😜
34 and a half inches 😂
