- A Pueblo woman says squatters took over her rental home after the previous tenant vacated the property. When News 5 Investigates confronted the squatters, they refused to leave.
Squatter being upset when someone just walks on in! LOL
those laws need to change fast. this is out of control with these lazy people.
I can’t get over how people can live in someone else’s house without permission. I can’t even go into someone’s yard to get my kids ball without feeling bad 🤦🏽♀️
It’s insane to me that it’s ok to break into someone’s house. As long as you stay after the crime.
I don't understand why squatting isn't illegal in all 50 states? It's trespassing if you're entering a private place without consent of the owner. What benefits to lobbyists/lawmakers get while squatting is still intact?
The pit bull wanted to do the right thing lol, “I give up come on in”
So if I leave my car open with the keys in it, and someone takes it. Is that considered stealing, or just borrowing it until I go to court?
Squatters: "Aren't you going to call the police?"
The dog was like, "Sis, the gig is up. I'm outta here."😂😂
Isn't that breaking and entering? So if someone is caught robbing a house all they have to do is say they're just moving in?
It's baffling how this is even a thing. They're burglars, home invasion criminals. They were not and are not tenants and I'm floored that there are actually laws that allow trashy criminals to get away with this nonsense! I mean seriously, it's like I could go spend the weekend at my daughter's house to binge watch a series on Netflix, come home Sunday night only to find criminals "living" in my home. It's freaking insane and makes a mockery of our legal system.
Our law makers need to be sued for making such stupid laws. Unless you are drunk or corrupt (perhaps want to make more cases/money for attorneys), no one would make a law that protects trespassers who are occupying a home illegally.
Take the door off the place. See how long they stay. Pay the neighbors to make it hell for them
If someone squatted in a home that I own, I’d just move in with them and be the most annoying roommate ever.
Wow. If this ever happened to me, I might just have to "Rent" one of our senators homes and be "so, sorry" and sympathize with them when they want to kick me out of my house that I don't own; but won't let me move back into a house that I DO own.
I PRAY THAT NOTHING HAPPENS TO HER…SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO GO THROUGH ALL THAT TO GET HER HOUSE 🏡 BACK…
As a landlord myself, this freaking needs to change fast. Eviction is when you are renting or leasing, not squatting.
My neighbor HAD a squatter and he had them running out the house within the day! He disconnected the electricity and let them know that when he comes back he'll have something for them. 🤣🤣🤣 they were GONE!!
My cousin paid me in weed, cigarettes, beer and cash to break in and squat on the squatters in his home when they tried to call the police because i was smoking weed and tobacco with kids in the house and partying day and night i showed them a lease with my name on it and that i was allowed to smoke in here and could do whatever i pleased the cops looked at them smiled n said it's a civil matter if you don't like it leave she's the legal tenant. They left after a month of me constantly fighting, drinking, smoking, partying, and having people in and out of the house finally we took the front door off the hinges because "I don't want a front door" during the eviction process the judge said everything was perfectly legal and if they didn't like it to move. They left after 3 years of squatting
How is this even a thing? I swear to God if someone was in my house and never had permission in the first place, I'd first try calling the police for a home invader. A burglar.
