- 7th heaven Mary leaves.
I did some internet research and found out actress was unhappy in her role so the writers wrote her out because she posed naked in a men magazine and it was against her contact with the show that she wasn't allowed to do that. This show has had same actors as character 11 years which mean unlike other show where they replace character with different actors this show didn't do that which was great for fans of the show - Развлечения
Mary: So what's best is to ship me off to live with old people!?
Annie: Yep that's basically it
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
yup sums it up 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah that's right Annie or aka Karen Barkley just like how you Ship your son Andy off a foster home just because you didn't believe him that his doll was possessed by Charles Lee Ray man the camdens really didn't need two more kids in that family I mean were they going to do send them off to live with grandma amd colonel two maybe Eric should've controlled hormones a little bit.
This reminds me of when I left home, I knew what I felt, but I never knew what my parents felt when they saw me leave
"Its better to have an angry kid, than a dead kid."
Yep
Or a kid that's in jail.
@@samstickadman.
@@samsticka that’s basically the same thing 😂
So dramatic...nothing she was doing was putting her on the path to death
Felt this way, my parents sent me off to work in the city and has to pack my things but they took me there and saw me settled in. Best decision ever. I was independent since but I will always remember the tears I cried that day, it's those tears that told me I'm no longer a child and the memories we made as family has changed.
the difference is, she is going to her grandparents, not to some city she never visited.
When the Mary character left , the show lost some luster 👈🤟😎
I mean...by then the show has been running for 5 seasons there's just so much you can write about one family.
Same with Charmed when Prue was killed.
The show had to HAVE luster before they lost it.
@@OscarMPG1 lol
No, it didn’t.
The first time I watched 7th Heaven, many episodes went unnoticed by me, I was still very young, none of my close relatives had died, my mother had not been diagnosed with cancer (Thank God she is very well now), nor I had been robbed, heartbreak, etc. Now that I watch them again I even end up crying, because I experienced many things growing up. It's a great show. Thanks for uploading the videos.
Its so funny you said that! I've been watching some shows that I watched when I was younger, teens - early 20's, and its such a different experience. I binged One Tree Hill a few months ago and I laughed when I realize how differently I experienced it. I chose different sides in fights, my opinions on the choices they made were almost opposite. I remember back then thinking " they're so lucky, no parental supervision" this time I was like "where the hell are their parents" 😂
This was a powerful scene to say the least, my hats off to the three of them for making it so
There's nothing powerful about this. It's a pretentious teen drama, filled with over concerned parents, led on by a liberal suburban white agenda in the 90s. Get the fuck out of here.
Excellent acting
That pre 9/11 boarding though
Vegan Sista yeah, too bad that’s gone.
Hey, better safe than sorry.
When you could walk with your party to the gate, say goodbye to them or meet them there. I miss that. 😢
To a reasonable extent though. If we locked everyone in padded rooms, the world would be quite safe, but We'd be sorry.
And it gets murky when the people that hire the people to search you might've been the same that hired people to cause the reason for all of to have to be searched
Incredibly acted, heartbreaking scenes. I love and miss 7th Heaven greatly.
Bro, this show was fucking joke dude😂😂😂
@@printingwithpeek4897 Maybe for you? Your opinion!!
@@printingwithpeek4897then why are you watching these clips, thats kinda weird to purposely watch something you already know you don't like. Obviously a lot of people did like it, it lasted a long time.

If Mary plays her cards right , she get to drive her grandpa’s lowrider to work at the local food bank 🏦. 🚗
And take a class at the local jr college With the col.’s wife !
Yeah she will be on a very short leash over there. She can't even take a college course by herself. I guess that's the only way they know she would really be where she's supposed to be.
Lmao
She was once the rebellious teen on 7th Heaven, but by season 5 (2000-01) it was passed over to Simon.
Simon was way better than Mary.

When that happened, I immediately thought “Where are your moral now, Lucy Camden!?!?!?”
And then they both get knocked up by the same guy. Wouldn't that be a mind fuck. Never seen that on television before.
@@johnrotten3268 Annie! Eric! Both Annie and Eric were stealing the church’s money. Mary was never supposed to even be in the show, but she became the show once she started singing and playing basketball. Simon and Matt both wanted to have Joy. They got angry with Robbie when Joy wanted Robbie. Robbie never got any dates because he was too busy being an a** to people of color. Joy called him out on his racism and performed three songs for him. Only the first song got aired. Then, Carlos...well I can’t go into Carlos. Matt is gay and he kept hitting on that black guy that loved bb king. Ruthie kept shaking her shoulders while she was dancing because she thought that made her look good. That guy she was dancing with kept moving his hands awkwardly because he didn’t know where to touch Ruthie. He is also gay. Lucy threw coffee at a customer and Kevin thought that was her work. The twins were just there to make it seem as if Annie was a good mom that took care of her children. Serena wanted to and did have sex with Eric. Eric thought it was fascinating that a mom with such big boobs was single and wanted a married minister. Annie wanted that carpenter and had sex with him in the attic. Sgt. Michaels was used to get the black people involved in the church and the community. All of this was based on a true story and those people are still living in that RV. That’s the truth behind 7th heaven.
I miss this snow so much Jessica Biel was fantastic actress in this show i definitely miss it so much
Had a friend who had several siblings and she was causing lots of trouble. She had friends that were bad influences and her parents thought a change of environment and new people were just what she needed. They sent her to live with her aunt and uncle. It's not that they didn't love her if they didn't care they would have let her continue making awful choices and eventually ruin her whole life . Yes it was a hard choice but remember sometimes one wrong choice can affect not only you but other people as well
I knew a family whose son was getting into trouble and with seven kids to contend with they had to try something. They sent him (same city not across the nation) to live with his great aunt and uncle. One was a cop and the other a judge. No nonsense in that household. It worked unfortunately the change in him was not permanent.
@@tyronekracht461 so… it didn’t work, then
Yeah that’s true
You know how the old saying goes,”you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink”
I knew some kids in similar situations as well. In their case it worked fortunately. One of them was sent to her aunt (not married, Math teacher and a very strict woman). She always complained about her, but in the end she had a lot of fun. We lived in a small town (she came from a big city) and it was easy to make friends so we spent a lot of time together. After two years she went back and managed to get in a good school. When kids are not too far gone, they can get a chance.
7th heaven had a lot of great and difficult lessons. This heart-wrenching episode showed the essence of the difficulty of being a parent
fuck you
Are you fucken serious... throw your kid away is the lesson
@@lyricmum215 They are not throwing her away. They gave Mary time and trusted her but she lied and acted irresponsibly. Mary was getting fired after one job to another. No one wanted to hire her because she wasn't the ideal employee. She went further into debt, letting her brother and sisters get calls from the creditors. Then spent whatever money she had at the movies. Mary hung out with the wrong sort of friends who convinced her to make poor decisions and not take any responsibility. Mary couldn't be trusted anymore. She was stuck in a place and lost any sort of motivation to take action. They sent her to her grandparents to get a new fresh start and figure out where to go with her life. They did her a favor because she ended up reuniting with her soon to be husband, they had children and she had a coaching job.
tia323araceli the other one I sent was good just getting to work tomorrow so I love you and I will be there in the WWE Network in the WWE Network and sharing the of April
@@LilyZerep Yes, they Are throwing their kid away. You are wrong. You deal with your child, you don't ship your problem off to somewhere else, cause you don't want it effecting the other hetero children you bred. Maybe, try closing your legs, and stop producing more children than you are able to properly and sufficiently raise and educate. If Mary wants to do something, she can. That's the thing with free will, you don't get to create a life form and it have free will, but then dictate that will and tell them they are forced to do or not do certain things. They CAN and WILL do what they want to do (to a certain extent), and there's nothing you can, or SHOULD be able to do about it. Don't like it, then don't spread your legs and create children you can't dictate their behavior, and cannot control their will. You created the problem, you get to deal with it. and you do NOT get to send the problem away or kill the problem, cause they do with their free will what they want. If you had raised your children properly, they would more than likely, not be behaving in this way.
When I first saw this I thought 💭 “‘please stay mary 💔”. Mary was focal point of the show , with her departure, so went the ratings .. although the show was still decent but missing something.. people saw Mary change boyfriends every other season as Mary’s beauty blossomed 🌹this scene is quintessential to this series itself📺 the actress that portrayed Mary was the breakout starlet of the cast & phenomenal actress in my 📚. So long mary , dont forget to write 🎋
I think she is the most unbearable character on any tv show I've ever watched.
@@timothyfogarty5829 both Mary and Annie for me
Mary was starting to become unlikable honestly.
Definitely the most interesting character. I wanted to see her really spiral tho like spend time in jail and rehab lol.
It’s a well acted scene though
I remember this episode tugged at my heart strings when it aired. I’m rewatching the series and it bothers me this time around. I hate how Mary is the one with all the problems. Season one she gets in the accident. Once she recovers she ruins her life. It’s just a bit much. She was my favorite character and I remember I stopped watching after her departure. Now that I’ve rewatched up to this episode I find myself losing interest again.
Perfect response:
“What if I say no?”
“You tell us, I mean you come up with a better plan before it’s time to leave for the airport and we’ll consider it”
I would have come up with a grade A plan before 9 lol
@@saramichele7366 Well at this point she was out of high school so highly likely she was a legal adult - she could have packed her bag and walked out of the house, they couldn't have done anything to stop her.
Very fair.
I’d say you do this or I call the police for grand theft
It was also perfect how they responded to her wanting to blow them off and go up to her room,
“Mary if you go to your room, we’re all going to your room because we all feel that you’re just too close to getting into some real trouble for you not to hear us out.”
They asserted that it was their home, but didn’t force her to sit down with them.
This is where I really disliked Mary here, she got into so much trouble and she didn’t even care to and what I hated most of all was every time get with some guy she’d always end up hurting them
Yeah, she did Wilson wrong. And then the firefighter she cheated with didn't want her either.
This is the day the show died for me, when Mary left it’s like the whole show just went down hill
It had to HAVE a hill to go down. This show sucked from start to finish
The show truly went downhill when Matt and Mary became recurring characters in season 7. Even though Barry Watson was undergoing treatment for cancer that season thus only 3 appearances and Jessica choose to leave to pursue her film career.

@@crakatoot5480 Tell us you're a virgin without saying you're a virgin
This reminded me of the same reason my mom had often tried to send me away back to Long Island to live with either her parents (when they were alive before they died), one of her sisters or my dad on the other side of the country instead of having to be keeping me here in San Diego for driving her crazy and stressing her out for with my bad behavior in order for herself to have a break, save her health and prevent herself from dying because her mean, younger sister and brother-in-law were being too damn strict with me as her sister was trying to help her at the time when I was younger.
Also keep in mind that Mary was a grown woman living in her parents house so she blew and lost her privileges of being able to stay there. It was their business if what she was doing by living in their house. Though how she lives her life on her own terms if she lives by herself is her business.
How people dealt with kids before therapy became a widely accepted practice. Send them away and maybe someone else will fix them, because there’s clearly nothing wrong with us
That’s what I feel when watching this. They’re excuse was “Well, there’s just too many of us”, well maybe you should’ve planned having 7 kids in your house better instead of making one of them feel left behind.
I know something had to happen as a consequence, but not this.
This show really was all the reason why kids go NC with their parents
I remember watching this episode as a kid.
Damn. Looking back on this scene now, I'm conflicted. Part of me feels like her parents were heavy-handed af. Another part of me feels like Mary was fucking up. But couldn't there have been a less harsh, equally effective middle-ground? Most of me feels like the writers needed an excuse to write Jessica B out of the show for a while.
Jessica actually wanted to be written out of the show because she despised her good girl image. This was a pre-Miley Cyrus situation.
I know Jessica wanted to branch out into other roles and was tired of being known as the wholesome daughter. I know she regretted doing thr gear magazine photo.

A fucking phenomenal scene
I almost lost it when Eric started bawling
I loved that show I looked at it from the start every Sunday
For all those the people in the world who are just starting out in being a mother, and/or father, just remember this one thing: It's better to have an angry kid than a dead one, because I may not have experience in being a father myself, but everytime I clean up after myself, that is just preparing me in for the day I become a father, and if you have an angry kid, be grateful that you didn't have to bury them, for no parent should ever have to bury their own child, I should know from learning about it from my mother, father, and my grandparents.
Well said! My brother died after coming home from serving in Iraq and not being able to deal with it. My parents kept giving him chance after chance but eventually he had too many and lost his life! Do what’s best for your kids Bc they can’t always see it! I’m 35 and just watching this show…. I love it! 💓
It's difficult being a parent I feel sorry for them
Eric and Annie did the right thing, it wasn't easy, but they had to do it. Doing what's best for someone doesn't always make them happy. She's lucky they care about her, some kids and people don't have parents who care. They don't want her to end up dead or in prison. She was still on probation for that gym incident too.
They took the easy way out by pawning their problems with their child onto the grandparents. Too many parents do this. Its not fair to the grandparents who already raised their kids.
@@postmastersgt1670 were they supposed to coddle her at the expense of her siblings?? they were already stealing money from their baby brothers to pay her bills what comes after that!!
@@crisvanfan Yup. Eric and Annie have the other kids to worry about and take care of. She was hurting everyone in the family, the Col. and Grandma Ruth were better equipped to help Mary.
I heard Kirk Franklin say that “God is not as concerned about making you happy as He’s concerned about making you His.”
What bothers me here is they fired Jessica cause she posed for a magazine while having a child predator as the star
Yeah ok moron, cuz the producers should've used their psychic powers to read Stephen's mind to find out about his past years before he was finally busted by his own wife
God. Young Biel is amazing.
She still is❤❤
If this was today the parents couldnt even wait for boarding they had to say goodbye before detectors
The days when TSA didn't exist
I watched this show every week. It gets harder to deal with things like this as they get older. I now have to deal with not having a child because we are no longer speaking by his choice. I don't know if he is alive or not.
This is a tough scene for me to watch, because as poorly as this show has aged, I actually…and I never thought I would say this…understand it. My mother was exactly like Mary when I was growing up, and my grandparents enabled her every action, pampering her and always coming to the rescue just as she was about to hit rock bottom. The result-my mother is a codependent human that leeches off everyone, including her kids. Annie and Eric did the right thing.
The Rev is only teary eyed when Mary is leaving because he has one less teenage girl in the house to bring her friends for sleepovers and pool parties etc...
Stephen Collins, what a scumbag.
It most likely was a very hard decision for Mary's parents to send her away. I do agree with the comments that Eric and Annie sometimes act like they are perfect. Mary vandalized the school with a group of girls and was punished. She lost her scholarship and could not get her life back on track. Her parents would have done better if they encouraged her instead of reminding her of her mistakes.

I have to say I am really shocked at the comments on this video. Please, they were not even close to strict! My parents were not even religious and they had far more rules! All they did in that family was talk about stuff. They did not believe in spanking. The worse that happened to them was being grounded. They had boy/girlfriends were taught respect for everyone. I would have been kicked out a long time before with her disrespect. I am not as strict as my parents compared to them I guess I am. Their only real rules were to be respectful to everyone, no drinking or drugs, to get good grades, and do some chores. She was 18 years old and could of left at any time but choose not to because she didn't want to take care of herself. About the real-life stuff the things with the actor who did not come out till after the show ended. IF that is the reason she was written out then that is good. Whether you agree or disagree with the posing nude thing is it went against her contract they had every right to fire her. This is what is wrong with the world no one believes they have to follow rules.
I think it's just instant hate towards Christians is why. The parents could have been giving their kids condoms while marching in gay pride parades but the commentors would still hate them for being Christian and not be so condemning if this had been about a Jewish or Muslim family.
I remember watching this episode on TV. The producers actually allowed the word "Sh*t" to be said on the air! 😳🤣🤣🤣
Used to love watching this show
She shouldn't have hugged them
Jessica Biel's 1st TV appearance. I love her since!
me too she's an amazing actress
Everyone forgets that Mary get messing up over and over and over again. And after she was given a last chance and she understood that it was her final chance, she neglected all responsibility and intentionally messed up. Sure she was just seeking attention, but she was doing it the wrong way. The parents have an entire family to look after and Mary was influencing in the wrong direction. They needed to make an example out of her while helping her. The parents didnt want to ship her off to live with their stricter granparents, but they needed their help too for Mary's sake. They made the right decision here.
@Mansur Zaman Very good argument 👍
Real Facts.'
And the rest of you sound very GAY.
You have a great point. She didn't care if the creditors were calling her and she was careless
Thank you! Everyone keeps forgetting that Mary brought this on herself. She didn't care that the creditors were calling her house and hassling her younger siblings. She acted like nothing was out of the ordinary and spent whatever money she had at the movies. She had plenty of opportunities to improve herself but didn't.
Your right it's better to have an angry kid then a dead kid
Heartbreaking to see her leave like that
I would’ve explained to Mary that this is a moment in her life where God is breaking her to the point where she will be able to fully surrender her life to Him
Oh my God how sad I wasn't aware! I miss you
I worked at one of the “treatment centers” in Utah where parents shipped their kids off in hopes of saving them, there’s allot of debate on whether or not they are more harmful than helpful
Eric: We're pulling out of the driveway at 9:00.
If it's 9:00 in California, then in Buffalo, it was midnight. So Mary probably wouldn't have gotten into Buffalo until at least 3:00 in the morning there local time.
Jessica Biel wanted off the show, so they had to write her off somehow. I forgot what Mary's problem was though? She was stealing money from her siblings?
I remember watching this episode and being so sad back in the day. And then in the very next episode, they took out of the opening credits and I got even more sad. But I was always happy whenever she came back as a recurring role and when she became a regular again in season 6.
i didn't like when she went blonde tho
I remember seeing the picture in the TV Guide.
I know how they feel. You spend your life providing a stable family with two parents, a nice house, a fridge full of food, and clean new clothes. When your 18 year old starts getting in trouble with debts, alcohol, the law, reckless sexual behavior, and getting fired from every job, then it's time to put your foot down.
She didn't have sex. She lied about having sex to Robbie, but she didn't really. Robbie thought he was too advanced for her just because he had "adult relations" before 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is my one true fear of having kids and I say this based off experience. My parents raised me right but the bad influences were always there. No matter wether in public school or private school. I’m just thankful that alcohol and drugs never caught my attention.
She was involved with alcohol. She drove while she was under the influence. She was also under 21. She had a marjiana cigarette, but she didn't smoke it. However, she remained a virgin until she was married. In fact, Simon was the only child who lost his virginity before marriage.
Being a loyal perent is not forcing their own daguther to leave. Only fake parents does.
Piss off. You can’t even spell yet.
This was actually a really great episode. Just before this scene they had a family intervention and each sibling tells Mary how they truly feel. It shows what the parents did was right.
I know, it was so emotional and they were bearing their hearts out and yet Mary just scowled and rolled her eyes the entire time, she drove me nuts, lol. The only time she showed any regret or remorse was when Ruthie told her off.
had it been modern times Mary would just start an only fans they lived in Cali right LOL......:P...
Alot of parents love pawning their children and their problems onto their grandparents as a way of not taking responsibility. This episode is one of the better ones for how true it is even till this day.
Did you even watch the episode or even the season up to this episode? Mary was heading down a bad road. She wasn't going to college, she couldn't hold a job, she wasn't paying her bills, she was hanging out with the wrong people, drinking and lying. She was one of 7 children and her parents had lives to live, her siblings to worry about, two of them were infants. She was taking up all of their time because of her selfishness and refusal to grow up. She wasn't listening to them and they couldn't make her listen to them. They had no choice but to send her to Eric's parents who had experience with unruly children and was willing to help Mary get her life back on track. Instead of letting Mary to continue to go down the wrong path, yes they sent her away for her own good. It's not bad to admit that they need help.
@@ladyanime100 I watched the episode a dozen times and I still feel the same. I see this all the time in real life. Your job as a parent is to raise your own children all your children whether they right, wrong, good or bad you deal with it as a parental unit. The grandparents did their job they raised their kids its not right or fair for them to have to raise the grandkids too no matter what the circumstances especially if both of the childs parents are living. Thats jus selfish.
They also told her if she came up with a better plan they’d let her stay. She didn’t, so sending her away to keep her from going down a dangerous path was the right choice
@@postmastersgt1670 I'm a child therapist, I hear what you are saying. I am in no way a fan of pawning troubled kids off on other family members. But in this case I get it. They had seven kids to raise and they have tried everything. Mary wasn't listening to them and only wanted money. Mary was also 18 years old. So their time was being spent trying to raise a child who already graduated. At some point a child who is 18 and not doing anything productive with her life needed a shake up. And that was just what they did.
Did you even watch all the lead up to this? Mary nearly ended up in jail because of tping the school gym, she continued getting in to trouble and stole Sam and David’s college money among other things. Annie and Eric made the best choice for all concerned, including Mary.
Mary shouldn't have worried about her car and she should never stop praying u always need to pray no matter what
That was an extreme solution. I’m sure they tried many times to help Mary in other ways but nothing worked. Haven’t watched previous episodes to find out. They did tell her if she had a better idea, they would listen. But she didn’t.
The whole family tried 2 help her multiple times. She kept denying any help other then giving her money. She kept lying about looking for work & lied about having a job.
The fault lies solely on Mary's shoulders. She was the one that messed up and was given every opportunity to make things right.
Kinda understandable
So I believe Mary had the hardest thing to do but I really think she did great bc doing something you know is right but is hard to except takes alot of courage.Mary she got alit more courage than most people.💖💗
They forced her to freeze to death in Buffalo for being a teenager.
Buffalo gets snow, but it isn't that cold. I live about an hour away in Canada and have gone there many times. Americans don't know their own geography. Buffalo has an airport. They didn't need to fly her to New York City to get to Buffalo. NYC to Buffalo is a really long drive.
Well I read through a lot of the comments opinions look at somebody tell me what the hell she did to deserve that she got in trouble what kind of trouble what did she do it was so damn bad
when she replied "Yep, that's basically it" I burst out laughing in hysterics lmao
Sweet Soul Brother haha!
That's so dry
Well, yeah.
What's so funny?? Omg what some perceive as funny is or can be actually painful to others!! This world's confusing 😕
I really don’t like this show as much as I used to, but I do have friends who have had to make similar decisions about one of their kids for the safety and well-being of the rest of their children and based on what led up to that decision, I agree with it to this day. The exiled offspring is in a safe place, getting their life straightened out, while their siblings can also live in a safe and healthy environment. It’s a tough decision for parents to make, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.
Lmao yearsss later and I just LOLed so hard at that snip it Rev Camden threw in there . “The colonel may let you drive his impala……….*silence*…..it’s a classic” 😂😂😂😂😂
If I were her I probably would’ve never talked to them again
She stole her baby brothers college money, and kept losing her jobs and drinking and doing drugs! Annie and Eric did what was best for everyone including Mary.
I remember watching this when I was in 9th grade at Eldorado and a few years later I remember watching this one after the news about what happened to Zak. in 2006 we got a call after getting home from church saying from a friend we have some sad news to give Zak glover passed away this past week and the next day we went to the memorial of zak cause zak died of a drug overdose
In one sense, sending her to Buffalo was a good idea. She'd be far from the bad influences and could get her life back on track with her grandparents' tough love. Also, they had the other kids to care for especially the youngest ones. I also remember this episode well and is one of my favorites
Don't breed 7 kids if you can't handle them
Most of the people in this comment section are bringing up the fact that Mary was 18 and therefor didn't have to follow her parents rules. Did you all forget? Mary was still living under their roof without a job or a dime to her name. Making mistakes is a part of life, but Mary was being incredibly irresponsible and immature. It was as if she forgot who she was raised to be.
Oh poor Mary she was going down hill because I believe because of bad influences and I think the parents did the right thing to do they could have done something more extreme like boot camp so to send her to her grandparents is better.
I get that they were angry at the actress but I hated how they ruined her character Mary.
It is really sad that it had to end up this way but I understand it. Mary probably initially felt like her parents were banishing her away from everything and that she was to be a burden for other family members to deal with and nobody really gave diddly squat about her happiness. But Mary isn't a kid anymore at this point and really needed a big wake up call to get her life back on some kind of productive path away from even further trouble. And she eventually kind of understands and made changes to her life for the better, so it was all for the best.
what led up to her being sent away?
I like it when people say this line or similar ones: "Mary isn't a kid anymore at this point and really needed a big wake up call." Yes, we as adults have personal responsibility over our lives but a parent also has the personal responsibility to care, nurture, and provide advice throughout the lives of their children, whether they are 10 or 60.
This makes me understand bit better how extremely difficult it must be for a parent to see a kid go the wrong path, like with drugs and criminality and how extremely difficult it must be to know what is the right thing to do and to fear for the life of your kid. Many unfortunately know how to deal with it and specially if your kid is already an adult as then you can't really force them to do things to get better.
@@teijaflink2226 bruh this was not the right thing to do. They literally sent there kid off. Eventually as parents your kids have to become adults and that means making mistakes. If your kid does things you don’t approve of maybe take a hard look at yourself and ask what you didn’t prepare them for, as a parent you hold 100% of the responsibility for how your child turns out. You raised them.
@@onetimehero268 Mary was rebelling and didn’t have the right influences living in Glenoak. Being sent to her grandparents was the right call. She actually matured and became more responsible because of it
Doesn’t she bounce on another plane to an entire different country???
From me watching these shows constantly on TV, sure, they had a point at the end of the episode, mad kid is better than a dead kid. But what I saw after that was that Mary barely wanted anything to do with her family after that. When she later got married to Carlos, she had never invited her family to her wedding. And she didn't want her family there for her when she had her son either. It was Carlos that invited them for more things.
When she was engaged to Wilson, she wanted to elope and not have her family attending her wedding, which never happened.
thank you ive been looking for this everywhere
I felt bad for Mary 🥺🥺🥺🥺
she kinda was spiraling downwards, and really needed some therapy to help cope.
It's all Marry's fault she made bad decisions hanging out with Frankie and her boyfriend, smoking pot and drinking losing job at the job Mary has no one to blame but herself.
California does NOT have nonstop flights to Buffalo. Mary must've had layovers in Denver and Chicago. Possibly Cleveland?
1) It's a TV show and 2) it was made in the late 90's
@@tayloaj1 are you calling Sam a liar?

They should be sending the dad away.
FYI: Jessica Biel wasn't fired from 7th Heaven for posing in Gear Magazine in 2000.She choosed to left to go to college in East Coast. That's why she was just a recurring character in Season 5 (2000-2001) and back full time for Season 6 (2001-2002) after dropping from college. Back then, they had a initial 6 years contracts. So only after Season 6, she truly left the show and only appeared as a guest. But you can see how the writers were mad at her and decided to ruin her character and keep doing it even after she left.
And that's how Mary went from the smartest one to the most stupid and Lucy from stupid to the good one.
Mary's character became a train wreck after season 6.
@@chrispeplinski7306 yeah because they were mad at Jessica.
Mary turned out fine. She got married and had 3 kids. Sure she left her husband for a while but that’s normal in life. Lucy was never perfect either. The show always played up how annoying and insecure she was.
Brenda Hampton absolutely did her dirty. Shonda Rimes did the same thing to a lot of the Greys Anatomy cast as well. They always punish the character for the actions of the actor.
@@dangerislandermaaaaann I'm rewatching Grey's now and you're not lying about Shonda Rhimes.
Out of context this looks soooo harsh. I totally forgot what Mary did to even deserve this.
Stealing from Sam and David’s college fund was the final straw. Making the other kids lie about it. One definitely has reached a low point when you steal money from your baby sibling’s college money.
@@kellyolson1952 thank you
Mary stealing from Sam and David to pay her bills was the last straw
If I was in that situation I'd have packed and scarpered
Eric and Annie did the right thing she got a lot of attention it wasn’t fair to everyone else
We definitely need more parents like this. Loved the series and this episode. Kids respect your parents
The hugs and tears at the end were not only saying goodbye to Mary in show but symbolic saying goodbye to Jessica. I'm sure some of those tears by Stephen and catharine were real cause they probably were Jessicas last filmed scene for a but. I'm sure after they said cut she went back and did a true goodbye cause she came back but did she leave cast and show on bad terms then? Curious!
I think Stephen was crying because he realised that Jessica was too old for his tastes. Funny how such a self-righteous, holier-than-thou show cast a child molester
No she loves the cast. She just didn't love her character. Beverly and her are still very close and she worked with Stephen Collins after the show. She almost worked with him a second time but his scandal happened so he was fired.
Jessica and Beverly are still very close to this day and even attended each others wedding. I remember she did mention regretting doing the gear topless photo shoot.
So, in the first season(s) of the show, how would Eric and Annie have reacted to parents who treated their daughter like this?
Early on they would have reached out to a pregnant teenager who stole their son's car. But later on it was their daughter and they couldn't be embarrassed by their neighbours and congregation.
To the people that are blaming the parents for Mary's behavior: Gimme a break. She didn't start getting into continuous trouble until she was a senior in high school (17 or 18 years old). At that age, you're old enough to know that you shouldn't do what Mary was doing. Plus, why didn't Matt & Lucy continuously get into that kind of trouble? They're close in age to Mary, & they also had to deal with their parents having a bunch of other kids to pay attention to
+Ellande Campbell Amen to that. I get Mary was mad but she brought it upon herself too. She should know not to do that. I agree that Matt or Lucy didn't get in trouble. I know Simon did later on by getting drunk (which was by accident). I guess the writers were focusing on Mary too much to worry about Matt and Lucy getting in trouble.
I didn’t watch this show except for part of the first and last seasons. What did she do that was so bad? Steal money? I never liked this show...over the top drama...
I loved these episodes about Mary. I don't understand what was so terrible about going to Buffalo, and working at the shelter. The grandfather seems like a nice person. With no other options, what has she got to lose?
april sinclair I hear you. Isn’t that where she met her husband too?
@@aprilsinclair235 I think the only reason she hated going to Buffalo was because her grandparents were more strict than her parents and they were more tough. They can read people a mile away.
I Love This Show
Funny that she initially hated living in buffalo only to end up being a resident and choosing to live in Buffallo lol. At least she had some growth
I would've been like " I'm going to Siberia!? Sick!"
Mary couldn't take care of herself and basically unintentionally roped her younger siblings into helping her so much so that they were stealing from their baby brothers piggy banks. Mary racked up so much debt that there was literally no way out. She chose to ignore her problems instead of asking her parents for help in the first place. Mary was lucky to have parents that were willing to reach out to other family for help for their unruly child. Most parents would've kicked her put into the world and left her for to fend for herself and cut off all communication with her. And the fact that they sent her to be with the colonel was the best idea ever instead of sending her to family members that she can manipulate and walk all over. The colonel wasnt going for that shit.
Does buffalo suck that much ?
I think what Mary ended was tough love in the way that Annie and Eric couldn't provide since I guess they knew the downward spiral Mary was heading would have either gotten her killed or in prison.
I've never watched this (honestly it looks and sounds stupid) but from what I've read...all she did was smoke some weed and drink a few beers...like alot of teenagers that usually turn out just fine.
