The best character in this show was the family dog.

I knew a family very similar to this. Lots of kids, both parents present, very religious. As I got older I started seeing just how opposite of perfect they really were. It made them more real though.
This show is so nostalgic me and my mom used to watch the show almost every week.
My sister and i watched this with great pleasure. We loved this show. And now - 2019 - i decide that watch it again. Big and happy family and Happy😄😄

I loved this show growing up but then you grow up and realize they are brain washing minorities. Thankfully there where good alternatives like family matters and fresh prince of bel air or i would have been a total white washed fool.

Wow. I hardly even watched this show but seeing this feels like ...MY CHILDHOOD! Such powerful memories lol. Their clothes, the climate, the era, the attitudes... Wow. And this was literally the fakest show there was and yet it had the power to encapsulate all of that. Just wow.

The girl never said it on the actual show. The idiot who made this video was the one who changed the words to make her sound like she said it. This was a wholesome family program. They could never have said anything like that, especially in the late 90's.

The show was still wholesome no matter what the actors did. Actors and characters are two different people. That's what a lot of people are not realizing. Hate the character? Perfect! The actor did their job. Lol

I'd be so pissed! My stepdad asked me once when I was about seventeen if I was pregnant (in not so many words) due to a question I had about our insurance and what it covered. Needless to say, I was not, and I was a bit offended that he would A: Assume that I was, and B: Think that I would up and tell him first.

For being so religious I always thought it was weird Lucy was so flirty and boy crazy and that they allowed it. Like hold your horses you 12 year old 😂
Just because you’re religious doesn’t change your personality in that way. Sure it can make you more caring and considerate, which Lucy was already. I think naturally 12-year-olds are getting into boys. I don’t think religion has anything to do with it.

That was back in the 90's. TVs and things were smaller back then. Besides, they hardly watched the TV. And probably couldn't afford a bigger one. They didn't have all the money in the world. They were, by no means, rich.
I remember having TVs even smaller than that. I once had a TV that was long and could lay on my stomach and under the covers.

They can if child is a minor (under 18; Mary was 17, I think) or if there is a signed waiver saying they can. I am 37 and my doctor can tell my parents anything. I signed a waiver saying I approved it.
