To be honest you will learn more with a mindset not to crash and fly focused with mindfulness and 100% focus. It's better to have only 6 packs with 100% focus than 20 packs with lazzy focus. Unfortunately, I learned that late because a) everyone said you have to crash to get better (and that's also true in the sense of a few light crashes) and b) because lazzy focus is less effort while flying.. But thats exactly the problem.. Because our brains mainly learn through effort. The more effort you make, the more you learn (however, it is important to have fun and not to be overwhelmed)..Of course, if you enjoy it, that's fine. But if you want to learn fast it's definitely not the fastest way in my experience..
I agree with what you are saying. I have been flying DJI Drones since 2013 and FPV since 2021. I always went into flying FPV with extreme caution to not crash. That being said I have been limiting myself (not doing Matty Flips or close dives because I was too scared to damage my gear. These essentially $40 drones allow me to focus on trying something I was too scared to try before.
@@butterflyfpv Yes I have whoops too and I use the sim. But the more advanced stuff I can pull off in the sim I have not tried IRL. Its a you will never know until you try it situation for me... LOL happy flying my friend.
@@AdventureFPV A little tip about the sim: You have to be able to do it several times in the sim without any errors so that it's worth trying out in real life. Many start too early with real life. A lot of practice remains the most important thing. But wait, no, that's not entirely true, the most important thing is to have fun :-) Happy flying!
Full send Lee! Helluva spot and flight brother. Redundancy is key with fpv no doubt! 🤟
Thanks man, yeah I was not wanting to try new things with my old setup. At least now I will not feel as bad if and when I crash.

@@AdventureFPV Ok I understand. It is a way. And simulator or whoops? wasn't that an option for you? I love whoops😃

what camera was on the first drone you flew?
I was using the caddx walnut for all these flights
