Paul McCartney said this is a perfect song. Great arrangement my man.....many, many thanks. I will be covering this on the uke for sure. Love your work and taste in music.
I tend to agree w/ Paul on that one. I had a blast learning and teaching this one, although it was definitely a challenge to get this progression solid. How are you doing with it so far?
Thanks so much - I have another one for Yesterday that you might like as well. If you need song sheets and more learning tools, stop by my site. All the best - Kevin | www.allforuke.com/song-library
Thanks for this one. Great song and perfect to learn some new chords to. One of the hardest parts for me is any chord that involves barring with my index finger. That third string just falls right on the soft part of my finger and will mute unless I push really hard. Barring with any other finger is fine just that index finger takes work lol but this was a great choice of song to get away from the basic stuff and push us beginners and that is always welcome.
One suggesting for barre chords: try using the outside of your index finger rather than laying it flat over the strings. Give that a try and let me know if it helps.
Wow, you twisted my arm in just the right way; I hit the like, hit the subscribe, And hit the bell, lol! What a fantastic first video lesson to meet you by. I’m a long time guitarist (around 55 years), and started playing ukulele a while ago, and this tutorial just blue me away, so thank you so much 😎👍 I am now going to dive into the rest of your videos - 70 year olds don’t need much sleep - cheers!
NO !!! I DO NOT have Pet Sounds on vinyl. But one day I hope soon it will be a 66 mono press ex or nm. No doubt. Thanks for the chords, I just love this tune.
I’ve been binging on The Beach Boys since I made this video, especially Pet Sounds. I love the chords in this tune. Hope you have fun learning it! - Kevin
I’ve never heard of a leather plectrum before - let me know what you know about that. Palm muting could potentially work, but w/ the timing I think the fret hand mute is the way to go to create the bouncing effect. You could always just play it straight w/ out the mute too if you’d like.
@@AllForUke the brand i use are called Leather Tones.. I use them for Bass too, i'm not a big fan of fingers, i like the style and flair i get from a plec, but for softer stuff i use a ukulele leather pick on bass and see how that works before playing with fingers.. Now that I have a uke i often use the leather plec, as i really enjoy strumming and am a big Pete Townshend and T Rex fan i translate that style to uke and it works, i can get the bounce with the plec and the palm mute just fine, it's a slightly different tone and rhythm but its good - Give it a try and let me know what you think!! :)
I promise: this is my last comment. The C#m "sure about it" chord I'm pretty sure should be a Bbm7-5. Humor me. Try it out. 1st fret G string, 1st fret C string, open E, 1st fret A string.

Nice tutorial on a tough song. Slight correction: What you're calling a C#dim is really a Cdim. Look where your pinky is (C).
Also what you're calling an F#dim in really an Fdim. Look where your middle finger is. (Not pointing at me, I hope.)
