Yes, Tom somehow brings back Paul's subtle undercurrent of insanity which I feel was missing for the last few years. He's still not gluing limes to his face, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time... :)

I’m mainly familiar with Ava through the podcast but they are the best of the lot of them! Their analysis is excellent and it’s great to see someone at SU&SD focus on big games like mage knight because the rest of the team have a penchant for lighter and quirkier games (which is no bad thing)

@@samhs101 yes! yes yes! Ava is the one member of the SUSD gang who's taste in games actually lines up with mine... I love the original boys, but they really like big social "performative" games where they get to be centre of attention, and that is SO not my tastes. Ava likes proper crunchy fiddly stupid euros with rules for building degradation and five different score trackers, and crucially they can explain the joy of those games better than I ever could... I genuinely love them!
I really loved "I'm editing your lines out as you speak" that was a good bit

This really was such a genuinely enjoyable half an hour of listening to someone talk. Tom you really are a mad genius. My favourite part has to be the perfectly told first-wine story.
In Vino Morte is such a fun little game. It's a great pub game, great convention game, great little game in general.
10 minutes seems a lot longer than usual, maybe the quarantine is getting to me.

So glad to see Button Shy getting more coverage. They make so many great small games. In Vino Morte is my favorite because I feel like it gives all of the satisfaction of a much longer bluffing/deduction game into about 5-10 minutes. Also, it's basically the poisoned wine scene from the Princess Bride. If someone doesn't reference Iocane powder at some point, you might be playing it wrong.
I wish Tom was there to announce every little thing in my life with this mixed sense of excitement and fear.
My God! His editing is soo good! Especially the suddle ones are very funny. like the mini zoom at "popedom" or the "alright" award makes me just giggle on the toilette.. Makes my day, really! It reminds me of the bon appetite - it's alive episodes with Brad!
Tom's been great on the podcast and it seems like he's really started to find his own voice for his review videos. They were good before, but his past few have been more uniquely his own and have been REALLLLY good!

I'm only seven minutes in and I've already fallen in love with this video. Reference kitten, Zelda music, and, relevance!, I actually own Sprawlopolis and its Beach and Points of Interest expansions and it's nice seeing love thrown its way
I spent 40 minutes watching this instead of doing the work I need to complete this evening and I have no regrets. More kitten though, please!

I was pretty sure that was from Street Fighter. Is it because the hat looks like M. Bison or something? Then why would he use Guile's theme? Maybe just because it's a good song and Quinns' favourite.

Man, that Uncut Gems photo is just the best. It's such a lighthearted video with a call-out to THE MOST INTESE MOVIE. Maybe he'll reference the photo at some point (I'm only seven minutes in), but even if he doesn't, I love it.

I make videos on youtube for a living and can only imagine the herculean lift it was to write, film, and piece this thing together. It has a friggin' arc even! And there are just so many wonderful moments peppered throughout. It's a shame I can't give them all the shoutout they deserve, but I'd be remiss if I didn't acknowledge the punch zoom that floored me at 15:26. This is hands-down my favorite video on the channel.

This kinda video is why Shut Up & Sit Down is the best. It's funny, it's informative, and it showed me some games that I never heard about, but which sound super interesting. Liberation especially seems like something I'd want to play.

Sprawlopolis is the best introductory solo game out there. Even if you don't think solo is for you try it. It's so simple, so quick, and takes no time to set up and put away while being a joy to play. The European version by quined comes with a scorepad!
I love the commitment to the bit. I personally wouldn't want to stand in my livingroom totally soaked. Awesome.

One of the funniest SU&SD’s for a while, some genuine laugh out loud moments. Cracking work, Tom (apart from the Uncut Gems picture....no, anxiety inducing movie not required in current lockdown!).
Toms reviewer persona is so expressive. Always some kind of twinkle in his eyes.
