Okay, teacher present- the Babylonian Captivity is when the French kept the Popes in Avignon. When the Pope died, an Italian Pope was elected but the French cardinals claimed they were forced to vote for the Italian Pope, so they went to Avignon and elected a French Pope and thus there were two popes. This was the Great Schism. A Council was called to settle the issue and elected a new pope, but the other two refused to step down creating three popes! Oh, and I thought a Horeo was a Halloween sandwich cookie! 😂 Almost forgot- have a MAGICAL Disney vacation!
@ 31:53 made me laugh out loud. It's hard to follow how the game is played, but it's clear you both are having fun! Thanks for the Button Shy playthroughs!
Picked up six of their games a couple months ago. Sprawl was great, Numbsters was better than anticipated, and Revolver is ridiculously good. I teach people without traps or room actions until hang is caught. 👌
Loved this video thank you! I ordered skulls of sedlac after watching as it looks so much fun and it has a solo expansion. Would love to see you do more like this and maybe a solo focus video too 😍
So glad you guys enjoyed Hórreos, and I loved that you laughed while playing it! It validates my little designer heart ☺ One small scoring correction: The pairs of Pike + Cross score 3 points, not 4 (we had that error in the rulebook, but it's written correctly on the back of the Leader card).
Great video, I'm a big fan of button shy. They have very few misses for me and like you say, even when they may not land you can still appreciate them. Revolver Noir is certainly getting ordered now! Get hold of as many of the skulls of sedlec extras as you can, that game gets better the more you add, and the solo mode is great too. Lastly - loved the Shaggy interlude, can't beat it.
I LOVED this video! As I do with all of your content, but this was very fun having such quick and easy to follow games. Definitely going to pick up a few of these now that I watched you play. Oh, and Jamie, I think your editing and love put in the videos is fantastic!
the wife and I love stew. i printed out the PnP a couple years ago (before it was picked up by button shy) and even have made a player board for it, which makes it my quickest game to set up & play. I’ve got the 2 mini-expansion, which is why i’ve been hesitant to grab a copy of the button shy printing. can you tell me if your button shy version includes the “crows and corn” and “fungus among us” mini-expansions? I can’t imagine playing without them. anyway, thanks again for another great video and all the work you both put in
Great video! Just ordered 4 more games😂 I hope Stew and Antinomy end up on a reprint campaign. I absolutely LOVE Wonder Tales. My husband and I like playing the solo games cooperatively. So River Wild, Skulls and Ragemore also get a lot of play. Thank you so much for this great channel. You can never have too many ButtonShy games.
In defence of Potions Class, it's not one of my favourites either, but the Harry Potter style theme and the simplicity made it a great gift for a friend's ten year old's birthday. She loved it!
What a day!! We really enjoyed watching you play through and now we HAVE to get Revolver Noir to the table! I had to laugh at Jamie's pronouncement that there is a game for everyone. Its so true. We don't really like Squablin Goblins for example but love love love naturopolis as a 2 player game! Also really like Kintsugi. That's why we never yuk someone's yum because its all so subjective.
If you ever play Circle the Wagons again, just know that you score for your largest group in each of the six territory groups. (Not trying to be a jerk here, just thought you might want to know. I think it makes the game more interesting that way. because it deepens the strategy.) I already enjoy Skulls of Sedlec, Circle the Wagons, and Death Valley but you've introduced me to some BS games that I wasn't familiar with, like Stew and Revolver Noir. Thanks for posting!
Hey you guys! I said this in a recent video of Michelle's but I didn't even know Button Shy games existed until recently. Now I'm quite excited for some of them. For your information: Avignon is "a game of popes" bc there was a solit within the catholic church in the late 14th/early 15th century where bishops from Rome and Avignon both claimed to be the "true" pope. Of the games you played I'm mostly interested in Exploring Galapagos and Revolver Noir. But I think the Button Shy Games I saw that I really want to own are Desert Pack and Death Valley. I have no idea how they play but I love the artwork very much. Thanks for the video as always :)
Cool idea to do a marathon with those games. You got it done quick after mentioning it in the last vid. Some little gems in there. Others might be more once-and-done. More diversity than I thought overall.
To answer the pope question, there is normally only one pope, but in I think the Renaissance, there were two. Basically, the pope was residing in Avignon, France. New pope elected, some cardinals didn’t like new pope so they elected there own. So two pope for a time.
Really need to try some of these! Thank you for exploring these amazing games! Do you know what the name of the company means? If I'm shy a button, am I missing one? Did it pop off due to a swelling of pride? Or if I'm button shy, can I only wear clothing with zippers? These are the deep thoughts....
You did it! Hooray! When you mentioned it recently, I thought it would take months before you'd have time for it to happen!
We are very very fast

Haha thanks so much!
Button shy day!! Woohoo!
That was so lovely, I want y’all to do another button shy day :) one a month until you’re through 😊
Haha we will see what we can do!
@ 31:53 made me laugh out loud. It's hard to follow how the game is played, but it's clear you both are having fun! Thanks for the Button Shy playthroughs!
We need another Button Shy Day!!!
We will see what we can do!

I knew where you'd both rank Revolver Noir before I even saw the video😁👍I'd love to see more Button Shy Days!
We will for sure do another sometime!
This looks like an awesome gaming day with lots of fun. Jamie, love how you are eating your ice cream out of a mug ❤
She eats most things out of a mug to be honest haha
Fun video. I wouldn't mind a solo Button Shy video either.... :D
Alright, fine, you’ve convinced me! I’ll get Revolver Noir… and a few more, because I can’t just order ONE at a time! 😉
Uhoh. Welcome to the cult

In Antinomy (one of my favorites), numbers only move to the future, colors/symbols only move to the past. So it's a bit trickier to get what you want
Ahhh this makes sense! Thanks for the heads up!
So great, I have 20 + button shy games:
#1 Avignon
#2 Hierarchy
#3 Battlecrest
(I excluded solos but TBH it may still be these three)

Ah well! We always make mistakes so it’s ok! Thanks for the info.

It’s crazy the amazing things they can do with 18 cards!
Aww man! I just ordered In Vino Morte yesterday! I wish I would have seen this video first. I would have ordered 2 copies of Revolver Noir!
It’s v good!
good selection, but i notice there's no Tussie Mussie. i for sure thought you'd have that beautiful game of making bouquets
We own it! We just didn’t play it during this video
@@FostertheMeeple gotcha :)
Just ordered Revolver Noir based on your gameplay. Perfect camping game!
Love the Button Shy content!
Wooo!! Thanks for watching!
Just because I was curious, there are currently 4 popes 😅
For Canadians that want ButtonShy games, Board Game Bliss in the GTA carries some of their titles.

1.) ragemore
2.) numbsters
3.) Agropolis
i wish they would do history themed sprawlopolis games like rome or fantasythemed games (orcopolis😂).
I am obsessed with numbsters!
Rightfully so!
Hey Jamie - which games from Button Shy do you recommend for Solo Play
Button Shy Day!!!!!!
Looks like a fun day!
We had a blast! Thanks for watching
What are your favorite competitive Button Shy games? I only gave the Skulls of Sedlec and dying for more!
The ones we ranked high on this video!
Strawberry cheesecake ice cream FOMO 🍓❤️
Really need to try some of these! Thank you for exploring these amazing games! Do you know what the name of the company means? If I'm shy a button, am I missing one? Did it pop off due to a swelling of pride? Or if I'm button shy, can I only wear clothing with zippers? These are the deep thoughts....
I have no idea!! We should ask them
Well, they have a good brand and the name of the company is memorable, so that's working for them!@@FostertheMeeple
Please do another one
Im sure we will in the future!
Get off your bloody phone! And stop looking at your watch!
You seem like a pleasant person
@@FostertheMeeple haha sorry, it was said in fun. I've only just seen your channel and I really like it. 🙂
