Hi ! during the reign of Napoleon 1er in France ,Cameos were very fashion ;and someones were in coral and gold 18cts;i had a pair of earings(with a mark of a root's head, 1795 /1809)bought 50euros on a flea market;i selled it 300 euros and the merchant who bought it ,resseld 1500euros! i hope my english is correct! your videos are a great pleasure, thanks!!

You have an impressive collection
😊 thanks ❤️
Hello! Most of the cameos you refer to as painted are not, they are transfer printed. Something that was painted will have visible brush strokes under a loop.
❤️thank you Sylvia😊
Beautiful collection.
Thank you

Such beauty many blessings! Good for you!
Thank you ❤️
I was looking for a cameo bracelet but wasn't willing to pay 150.00 , I kept looking on Etsy and found a silver cameo bracelet for 45.00 . 😃
❤️❤️❤️
It’s funny, I have an intense dislike of the “pony tail girl” cameo. After a recent binge buying of cameos I realized I had gotten three! Horrors! 😁. And I finally realized I had really bought them because the setting had caught my fancy. If the girls continue to bother me I will replace her on set with a real stone or shell cameo and confuse collectors for years to come.😊
I am often attracted to pieces because I like the setting also. Ah the ponytail girl! 😂 I’m not overly fond of those myself, although I do own a few😊
So pretty!
Thank you!❤️
Beautiful.👋
Thank you! ❤️
Love your collection!
Thank you Tammy! ❤️❤️❤️
The Pony Tail girl is the bane of my existence when I am trying to learn about cameos and faux cameos of the last two hundred years. She takes up so much of the time, while being easily dated to the mid 20th century. That is pretty much the end of her story. Then time is spent on her rather than the dozens and more cameos such as the jasperware that was snitched😂 from Wedgwood and is everywhere, the Limoge ladies, etc. the ladies of history, etc.
I agree Wanda! ❤️❤️❤️
Amazing collection ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you ❤️❤️
Hey everyone, I need help!!!!! My mother just passed away and left me a Cameo set. The box it came in is a white shell with a button latch. Once open the top is cloth and say's Cameo Factory Naples. The pieces are a ring, Necklace, and a set of screw back earrings. There is a small stamp on the back of them that say's g 800. There is a note also that
say's "Dad was in the Navy and shipped to Spain in the early 60's. The cameo's them selves look like this.
White background and
coco brown pony tail girl with what look's like a crown on her head. The girl's also have a very straight nose to her. PLEASE SOMEONE CAN YOU HELP ME!?
@@timmcdonald5503 it sounds as though you have a cameo set from Naples Italy. The set was most likely purchased in the early 1950’s or 1969’s From your description it sounds as if they could possibly be made from mother of pearl. The 800 mark on the back could possibly mean that they are a lower grade of sterling. Sterling is usually marked 925 but often pieces of a lower grade will be marked 800. It basically means that it is a silver alloy that is 80% pure ( silver ) and 20% of some other alloy. Whereas 925 silver is 92.5% pure. Thank you for watching and hopefully this helps. ❤️
Do you have any to show that are agate?
No Im afraid not. But thank you for watching ❤️❤️❤️
Hey, can I show you my cameo I found not long ago?
Sure!
New subscriber. Love all your cameos.
Thank you so much!❤️❤️❤️
