first off stilll love the videos man great job! Idk about that starting tho, your right about the fuel pump, but you still have gas in the bowl of the carb. you need to fine tune the carb and maybe add a half degree to a degree of timing. my 79 camaro would start up instantly once i got the carb tuned in.
Moroso has been around for a long time good brand they also make coils and spark plug wires.
I'm looking at buying a 78 chevy c10 long bed 350v8 an 3 on tree with 109k orginal miles 1 owner . 311 I believe was rear gearing but it runs an drives just needs rear brakes fixed thr wheel cylinders are bad . An the cab floor pans are shot especially the driver side cause there's a hole but red of cab an truck is in mint shape not bad at all .
Basically needs good cleaning , rear brakes , cab corners an floor pans an some little things that are simple under the hood an it's good to go .
$1,750 an I take it home what do yall think ? Is that a good dead or not

Better loosen that seal from the hose going into bottle, it looks too tight, coolent can't go in, and the preasure will blow hose out of bottle. All and all nice build dude.
Fix it asap. It needs to vent out.
Yes good point they are not under pressure it goes back and forth from the bottle to the radiator for expansion .
You should add a rubber gasket or some type of gasket between the glass bottle and the hose clamps to prevent it from breaking from the vibration. Just a thought keep up the good work
bottle needs a vent or first boilover and that hose is gunna pop out of the bottle

I was like damn that would turn me off from a purchase based on Principle of painting instead of just doing headers. but after the intake polishing and valve covers i was like damn i would buy this thinking it had a rebuilt motor on the amount of work under the hood.

Next time use oven degreaser. I’m done it to my 86 c10. Take about 15 min.
Usually with mine I just pump the gas a couple times as I'm starting it and it gets fuel to the engine and starts right up
Hell yeah, damn “Slick” good job. A magical old school place to find probably any tool you need including a buffer REALLY cheap? Pawnshops. Almost as good as pawnshops is flea markets and yard sales. Where y’all from in Alabama? I live just across the Tennessee line in Lawrence County.

Buy a can of easy off and spray the whole engine Wait like an hour stay off of rubber watch it go clean with water
Man I got jipped. Got over $2,500 in my 94 F-150 that I bought for $400 and it still looks like crap. Bought it sight unseen from a family member with a blown head gasket. Guess he forgot to mention that his definition of a blown head gasket is practically everything needing work from brakes to the ECU. She runs good now but man I’ll never buy another vehicle without looking it over first. Especially from a family member. I should’ve just scrapped it and bought a nice one but I enjoyed working on it. Even though it attempted to bankrupt me with every nut and bolt I turned.
SAFTEY GLASSES! I don’t always promote safety. But you can work fine without a finger, but you’ll only see have as much without an eye! Love the channel! Working on my own squarebody! Got a 78 k10.
Moroso was big time in the 80s/90s for dress up stuff, coils, wires and exhaust components. Not sure the GLASS bottle with no vent is a good choice. Think cold glass versus screaming hot liquid/steam angriness. Not good. The stock tanks weren't pretty but they worked. Some wd-40 shines up faded plastics under the hood too. Love the square body projects.
Zip tie Ignition wire separator..old trick, I shorten long wires to fit, just need a crimp tool and new ends. Use dielectric grease in plug boots to keep them from welding to plugs and distributor cap. Truck`s looking good. Carbs are not hard to rebuild, I have rebuilt many. Alternators too. I have a `91 Silverado with over 300,000 miles, still going strong even though it has the crap TBI. Rebuilt that too Good luck and stay safe slick.
Shes looking slick ...for the bed , they sell a paint spray paint , I know you might sold this truck ...but im playing catch up ...im into the video....I really am ..but the can is called raptor k2 ...you spray it on or paint it on ....seals the bed , from any ware and tare ....looks good 👍...god bless ..

Also your dress up parts were free from a subscriber. Those valve covers and air cleaner would cost a good bit more.

You can take the break booster off. 4bolts down by the brake peddle. The remove master cylinder off and leave it in engine bay. Anyway. Sand the booster and paint it wrinkle black. Will look brand new. Don't cost much just a can of spray paint.and the rest is labor. Good luck.

It would be properly slick if someone who watches the channel wanted to buy it off you but paid you to fix the bodywork and respray in a cherry red or something! That would be really slick!!

Spot Weld some brackets on the alligator clamps like they did on the sixties cars it'll be removable also you might want to put some kind of rubberized stripping on the inside or on the glass as a vibration dampener.
You gotta get headlight trim pieces😂😂you can find em cheap and it’ll look SO much cleaner up front also Slick👌🏻
And dome modern headlight housings. They make new glass ones with completely clear glass you can replace the number in and they look good. My old buddy put a set on his bronco and they looked good plus light output was 10x better

My.glass 9748 clear view fuel filter would look good with the valve covers instead of the big plastic one have one on my 85 and it looks cleaner

Having them zip tied togethers no good you should put a rubber gasket for sink that you can slice that way thier 1/4 inch apart is best more is better .. they get hot and they can shoot extra spark to another cylinder if theres a crack

If the brake booster works and doesn't leak. I'd just spray paint it. I've done that to multiple budget builds

tall valve covers are for roller rockers if u are interested the problem with rattle can it fades fast and oxidize real easy i all ways use body paint for the engine compartment and engine keeps the shine a lot longer plus u match the body if u want
If you ever wanna put chrome engine peace’s on your engine remember that the chrome pieces are made poorly they are made for show not for heavy duty driving everywhere truck engine they go bad fast
Maybe put an aftermarket thermostat on it? Helps clean it up a bit more and makes it more SLICK 😉

Pulling headers off with old bolts is a game of roulette with header bolts being lazy and spraying them on is smart 😂
man honestly - cheap toilet - cut the handle off and put it in a drill. If you have to use it on painted surfaces put a thick sock over the bristles.

Your bottle should have a pressure relief of some sort, you don't want to blow the hose out and mess up the engine bay.
