War; includes words for the Jamaican Civil War with gangs & politicians Leaders... This is the song infamously covered acapella by Sinead O'connor
on Saturday night live before she ripped up a picture of the pope ...
Wanting to draw attention to important issues with good intentions ...
    - Only ended up with the public focusing on her Blasphamy ...
' The road to hell is paved with good intentions ' ... comes to mind
Perhaps she still might say it was worth it ...
The whole reason she shaved her head early in her career
was so she wouldn't look like just another manufactured pretty female pop star ...
So rebelling against the status quo has ... always ... been ...

War is about the country fighting against one another when Africa government was divided by two political people who constantly fought each other over their own beliefs. They were killing each other daily. Bob single handedly fixed it. He had a concert for the people and invited both rulers to be there for the people. During one of his songs he called both of them on stage and United them both in front of the people!!! His music healed them they had no choice but to feel the rythm and power.

Most people think Babylon was a cool place but in reality it’s a very bad place. Here is 2 artist you can search up. Midnite “ Bushman “ and “ Propaganda” are two good ones to listen to and then Israel Vibrations “ Licks and Kicks” and “ Vultures “ is also good to start with. The Rod, I think your mistaken here. Read up on the issue with Italy and Ethiopia in 1939 and the environment of what was going on in Africa during the 1960's, that's when the Africans were beginning the fighting of guerilla wars against the colonists in South Africa and Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). War is a song of an anticolonial stance because Haile Selassie was trying to assist with the struggles of the Africans against the colonists. What you are referring to happened in Jamaica, where political violence was a very serious issue in Jamaica. In a concert in Jamaica he invited the leaders of the opposing sides on stage to shake hands in an attempt to quell the violence. There are numerous documentaries on line about the whole situation. Read up also, you have to remember that Marley was also a Garvyite because he was a Rasta. So read up on Marcus Garvey and Moritmo Planno etc. Marley was a revolutionary, it is said that the CIA had a file on him. But read up, you'll find out a lot.

I know this is an old reaction, and I don't' know why the dumb algorithm hasn't put me on to your channel sooner, but I really appreciate you doing a song of Bob's that's rarely reacted to or even played, great analysis too, I just subbed.
In my opinion, we separate class, skin color and race in our societies around the globe, but I feel like class/wealth/power, which ever label is used, is the true factor when it comes of oppression and inequality. Race, skin color, culture, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, etc..are merely used as tools by rich and powerful, to separate the people of lesser means, as a way to "other" a certain group within society, and marginalize them so that the masses don't look up at the people truly responsible for their lack of basic human rights, it gives them someone else to blame, and be angry with. It's a story as old as the human race, and one we need to stop from being played out.
Oh yeah, fun fact: The reason that speech in particular meant so much to Bob, besides them believing he is Ja or a prophet, Ethiopia is the spiritual homeland to the Rastafarian religion. Another interesting thing is, the prevailing hypothesis argued by many scientist that 4-7 million years ago, when our ancestors, the hominins, split from chimps and bonobos, and left the safety of the jungle canopy and learned to walk upright, happened around the Great Rift, which was large section of rain forest that vanished, relatively quickly in evolutionary terms, due to tectonic plate shifting and which happened in modern day Ethiopia. There's also a direct link between early hominins to Mitochondrial Eve who lived appx 7-10k years ago in a nearby region, she is the matrilineal most recent common ancestor of all living humans. Every human female alive today has a direct lineage back to her. I just think it's interesting how many things in ancient history point to one specific place in Africa. Take care!!

I do not believe that there are more good people than bad people because of the current state of human affairs.
Most people are just obedient to "law and order", work to live employees, and consumers of products and services.
My example of a good person is Martin Luther King, Jr. He did the right thing for the common man, not just black people, despite the law and the risk to life, liberty, and livelihood.
He was murdered for his troubles.
Good people that actually try to right the wrongs of the status quo will first be discredited, then detained, and eventually destroyed: ie MLK
