Those three ladies on background vocals were known as The I-Threes: Jody Mowatt, Marcia Griffiths and Bob's wife (now widow), Rita. All three of them went on to be solo singers.
Hello Sister from Central Asia. I'm a big fan of the legendary Bob Marley. And when this great style of Reggae is playing, I am generally delighted, I adore this style of music.
Love this song bob marley was a true legend oh also the sherriff shot the deputy and bob saw it and the sherrif turned on bob but he got the better of him and shot the sherrif thats my take on the song
No musician has ever had the passion of Bob Marley! He is the best of the best 👍 A true humanitarian, a man who sang positive messages of love. Thanks Fay! He shot the sheriff because he Commanded the killing the marijuana plants.”he said kill it before it grow” He was the top of reggae music. All his songs are deep and passionate. 😊❤️❤️❤️👍😍❣️more of him please ❗️ Watch him as his eyes are completely closed with tears on No Woman, No Cry, or the direction of his eyes to his wife as he sings Stir It Up. He was real‼️
Great performance. Thanks for playing and reacting to it. Bob Marley had many great songs. Check out "Redemption Song" ruclips.net/video/Md8EesTaIsA/видео.html and "Three Little Birds" ruclips.net/video/HNBCVM4KbUM/видео.html. Also, check out Erykah Badu's cover of Bob Marley's "No More Trouble" ruclips.net/video/8-9XjHJ0GXU/видео.html.
Awesome! The subtext of the song is that the sheriff was persecuting the protagonist for growing cannabis -- "Every time I plant a seed \ He said kill it before it grow \ He said kill them before they grow, and so \ Read it in the news!" Be sure to check out Bob Marley & The Wailers "Trenchtown Rock" (Live At The Lyceum, London 1975) for another great performance from Marley et al. Also check out some of his more well known tunes -- "Get Up, Stand Up", "No Woman, No Cry", "Three Little Birds", "Stir It Up", "Waiting in Vain", "Could You Be Loved" ...
Love it! I must say, I've been listening to Bob ever since I was a teenager living in South Africa. Over the years, I've come to see his music and his message as primarily leveled at human injustice, especially through the Babylon system. It's truly biblical. Right now we can see this battle taking place on the world stage in a BIG way. It's not racial now, though racism (in all forms, even 'reverse' racism in some cases) is used by the ruling Babylonian elite. If you want to understand how it's playing out now, I think one way to begin to scratch the surface is to check out Alexander Mercouris video (The Duran) on the recent speeches by Putin and Shoigu addressing the globalist elite and other issues. Lord, have mercy. "Babylon System is the vampire." - Bob Marley
I was at this concert in London. It was on the last day of my Undergraduate final exams and most of my friends came along. It was the "Exodus" (great track) tour and The whole concert was amazing. I always loved Lively Up Yourself
I must say, with Bob's music, you can not, and I say one more time, you can not love just one song, you have to love a whole album, and my favorite is SURVIVAL. He was on the war path when making this album.

I always thought of the "seed" as an idea that they didn't want to grow.
@@Boone1981 Could be that too, but he switches to plural so it remains ambiguous.
