I for one would like to see more images of the waterfront - with the buildings - I too prefer nature for nurture - but we have to expand our horizons some times to give us a new perspective on things we normally shoot. You shoot great images -but - even dull days can be a good thing, by switching to monochrome maybe - looking for angles and contrast :) Thanks for sharing your MORNING ADVENTURE -- those of us who wake up daily before 530 a:m appreciate your effort jejeje

I'm primarily a landscape/nature photographer but that warehouse area was fantastic, if you can't get a 100 good photos there you don't have the eye, and I know you do because your photos are really good. I'd rush down there tomorrow except I live in Australia 😁
BTW, I get up at 5AM most mornings, just a habit these days.

I'm also primarily a landscape and nature photographer. I would've had a field day in that warehouse area. (IMO, a lot of potential shots there would've lent themselves well to black and white photography.) If I could teleport myself from the US to there with my camera gear, I would. I hope Courtney has a go in that location at some point, if she hasn't already.

I am a morning person. The problem in the warmer months is that the sun is getting up earlier in the morning then you have to wake up very early to be on location in time. Or you may try to sleep in your car.
You live in a nice hilly country. Sooner ot later you will have the perfect weather. In my flat country whenever the time I go out It won't have hills :)

I get up early in the morning but I am not very energetic. Sunrise photos are so nice but capturing them in the summer means you have get up even earlier. With the changing of the seasons (autumn) it is possible to capture a golden hour like photo under a heavy canopy of changing leaves, especially if there are no clouds above. The Sun illuminates below the leaves a golden color or even sometimes a maroon/red depending on the type of trees.

In fact it's only very recently that I've changed what I've been saying for years. For years I've be saying "I hate mornings!" It's not true at all so I've just changed it to "I don't hate mornings, I just hate how I FEEL in the morning!" By the way, I also feel your pain with regard to being short! I shoot from a mobility scooter, so seeing over walls and stuff is pretty much impossible. Plus the fact that I shoot with a Nikon D90 which has no flippy screen!

My estimation is that it’ll take you about 3 months to 6 months to get used-to the idea of waking before the sun cracks the horizon each and every day. Thank you, take care and be safe out there….

For not being a morning person you captured some really nice images Courtney. My favorites were pastel moon and the image at 8:45. I'm not much of a sunrise shooter either but the things that make sunrise special are the lack of other people, stillness of the landscape, and the satisfaction you take away when you have a good morning shoot. Those things help push me out into the landscape when otherwise I'd rather stay in bed and sleep.

I've only recently picked up photography, and due to the heat we have had recently I head out before dawn to walk the dogs. I'm not a morning person but fell in love with the early starts. The light is beautiful, the dogs love the early smells and there are no people in usual busy spots. I swing on my camera bag each morning, and some days I don't take the camera out the bag at all, but others it stays hanging off my shoulder at all times. I have come to accept that it is not always possible to take the best shots every morning, especially as I go to the same location multiple times each week. But when the light hits just right or the sky turns brilliant shades of colour, it feels great grabbing some shots.
The downside of going out with dogs and a camera, is that the dogs get bored if I hang around one spot for too long, so no tripods or tweaking composition, just quick snaps and plenty of time fixing them in post.

a canoe trip along the river at first light is a serene experience and one that im happy to experience at any time of year, every bend in the river reveals a new vista and you barely have to paddle as that is quite often a very mellow river. another really beutiful video. Tempted to go back to bed but as I had woken my partner and she was coming with me today, that was not an option! Enjoyed the photos of the river which looked like Symonds Yat a beautiful place early morning. Never photographed there but have spent a lot of early morning visits fishing on the river. Great video.

Haha, I can absolutely relate to your opening statement. Absolutely not a morning person and my productivity also requires several hours and coffees to kick in. 7 days wouldn't be enough to reprogram my brain. From the first time I got out with it and 14-24 convinced me it was more than worth it's cost! I still love it, to this very day. If I could only have two lenses, the 14-24 would be one of them, and my Nikon 70-200 f2.8E FL would be the other! Thanks for the fun videos, Courtney! Appreciate your excruciating early morning rising, as I choose a earlier time where I'm off to bed, thus wake up always to 5 Am-6 Am, albeit not necessarily heading out with my camera. I did recently purchase the newer iPhone 14 Pro, with it's ability to use RAW, so since getting it the dreary grey clouds just don't do most images justice, but will soon be giving it a go, of course often taking a similar shot with my D750. Thank you for your persistence, as I quite enjoyed the imagery along with your settings. There 'is' the odd time, I wonder why you chose a specific setting, so perhaps the odd time you might tell us the setting being used and why? Also, which editing software do you use most significantly? Have a great week!

Nice video, great concept and well put together, love the pacing. Definitely worth it, got some nice shots Pastel Moon was really nice, also liked 4:57 the one of the left with the path ... I'm a sucker for path shots 😂. As for 8:16 of that river I love the one on the right, well done placing the foreground like that - 8:45 is a really nice scene I can tell why it's popular!

The struggle is real but gets easier as you get older. The problem with the warmer months in the UK is that sunrise comes pretty early. Are you building up to that? Good luck! 🍀👍 🥂

I hope it gets easier! 😅 Absolutely, I'm hoping to see a few summer sunrises so fingers crossed I can adapt to being more of a morning person! I was a little disappointed at the amount of cloudy mornings I had that week, but it was expected. Thanks you for watching! Hope you're having a great weekend. 🙏😄
