- In November of 2016, we sat down with a few cameras, some classics and with the accompaniment of Commissioned alumn, Daryl Dixon, and the incomparable Bishop Michael Brooks... we recorded just a few of our favorites. This Is 1 of 5 songs that we will be posting in 2017. To all of our "Commissioned-heads" out there... enjoy!

This is such a blessing. The world needs the ministry of Commissioned. It's so good to see the fellas back together.
I came to Jesus by the group fred Hammond and Commission in 1994 been listening to them every since. God is good. This song brought me through in 2004 when my 25 year old son was killed. Jesus ministered to me through this song no more loneliness. Thank you guys for staying in the fight., and allowing God to continue to use you.❤
Greatest group ever...PERIOD! They never got their just due. They were considered to secular for the church and to churchy to cross-over. Would love to see them do another project together. Boy, this brings back so many memories!

I agree but that's why I am creating an EP/Album called The Commissioned Remixes. It gonna sound like today but with a still a classic sound. Classics made new! Stay tuned for this one. Just like you were bumping Commissioned then this gen will bump it now.

Commissioned is not just the result of great songwriting prowess, talent or airtight vocals, Commissioned is also and more importantly the result of a group of men who decided early on to brush aside ego, personal prestige and personal praise and focus on "themselves individually" for a more worthwhile and higher calling.........Ministry. They are awesome!! Though several of the members have become highly acclaimed solo artists, they are still best to me as "Commissioned" IMHO.

Jus came across this by happenstance lol. Bruh Cole is a vocal beast lol. I like many am a Commissioned fan 4life, would luv to see an "Acoustic ", Unplugged, or New CD. If Fred and Marvin are unavailable, these 4 have shown they're more than capable.

Can't wait to hear more, I'm only 26 yrs old but man I love commissioned's music. Mitchell Jones has had such an influence on me as a singer, it almost feels like I was born at the wrong time Lol. I would just love to attend at least one of their concerts if they ever found time to have a tour.

Mine too! Since I was a little girl! My Mom used to play their tape on the weekends while she was cleaning, etc. Them, the Winans, Vanessa Bell Armstrong…thankful for a Godly heritage! 🙏🏽🙏🏽✝️

Wow I needed this....I been listening to "STILL COMMISSIONED, the songs of MITCHELL JONES for 2 months straight and been down with them from day 1. As a teenager my dream came true and that was to meet COMMISSIONED...not only did I meet them, but we hung out together when they came to Houston...before the show and after the show...this was right after Mitchell was delivered from that accident where he injured his hand severely. We have a lot in common not just as believers, but Mitchell and Fred are both Veterans and so am I. I'm a Former Marine Veteran who served two combat tours in Iraq and by the grace of God and songs from COMMISSIONED that I use to listen to in a Combat environment, I stayed focused. If anybody reading this know how to reach these brothers through Social Networking or email, so that I can personally thank them for being an encouragement all these years for me and many more, please email me VINCE MOSTWANTED ....and may God guide us all.

You can see and feel how much they love their calling. I can’t express how much this group blessed and encouraged me as a new babe in Christ. I will never forget these talented men of God.
Listen - these vintage Commissioned songs got me through college in 1 piece. And there's was the first real concert I went to. I love their whole entire life!! Glad to see them back together!!! Michael!!!!

I’m so grateful for their ministry. They were the Christian Brother friends I wanted when I was a teenager and didn’t have- to take that part of the journey with me. Because of them though, I was not lonely.
They really did have a way of reminding you that, Jesus is always by your side.
They certainly do feel like my big brothers. Just to hear their voices gave me comfort.

Groovy bass on Commissioned "Breakin Away" on Irreplacabe Love Album. I'm hearing that there is new album coming but Fred and Marvin are probably not going to be apart of the project. I hope Fred would consider it since he's done so well outside of Commissioned and does not need the financial gain but it allow the group to receive the recognition they truly deserve as one of the greatest Gospel vocal groups of all times. Also it would bring back Michael and Fred back together again after so many years. Praying God allow a reunion with everyone that will bless the body of Christ.
