As we sat down to reminisce over a few songs from the Commissioned catalog, we were reminded that "Love Isn't Love" is the most profound concept of the gospel message. (Mark 12:31). In the face of so much hate in our society, let this song once again, remind us of why we're here.

In November of 2016, we sat down with a few cameras, some classics and with the accompaniment of Commissioned alumn, Daryl Dixon, and the incomparable Bishop Michael Brooks... we recorded just a few of our favorites. It’s so hard to watch this knowing BISHOP BROOKS has passed and FRED HAMMOND is going through so much physically, and COMMISSIONED hasn’t been able to reconnect and produce one last album before everyone dies and goes to be with the LORD. COMMISSIONED, helped me so much as a young Christian coming up, to embrace that it was OK, as a MAN, that I could worship GOD fully without being embarrassed or feeling weird. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I was a child who was very lonely and abused and this group ministered to my soul sooooo many nights. I thank GOD for these young men. I finally found love thru CHRIST - real true love. HE gave it away to me on calvary & because of HIS love i am here today. When i should have lost my mind - GOD'S amazing love, mercy & grace kept me. I withstood so many storms and I am a witness to this song that if you don't give it away then it truly isn't love. GOD taught me (and still teaching me) how to love others no matter what they do or don't do. Amen. Matthew 22:37-39 37 "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

Marcus was coo...he's NO Fred or Marvin (Sapp...NOT Winans). Low key after Fred left their music "really" didn't move my needle. #ThatsJustMe After Keith left and they replaced him w/Marvin I felt the same way but Bishop Sapp won me over after I seen them live here in Portland, OR

This is Commissioned. Fred owned the name, but he let them have it. But I know what you mean tho.
Fred stayed with them a long time…Marvin came while Fred was still with them, but Marcus Cole has been a member over 20 yrs though. Although Keith left many years ago, he’s still a member too…they are brothers in the Lord, and so any compilation or iteration of the group is still the group. 🙏🏽✝️🙏🏽
You guys should grown old together signing. No one else could bring songs to life like you guys did. They touch the soul of folks. But being a signer myself l know how it gets when signing with others, there always that one that will throw something in the mix.
