1701-A and 1701-B are more battle focused. 1701-C was deep space battle explorer. The A was still a formidable ship at its decommissioning and would still be able to stand up to TNG era cardassian and klingon ships. 1701-B even more so, mostly limited phasers and shields. 1701-C I think would really vive a stock galaxy a run for her money. Much more tactics driven battle. 1701-D was a luxury liner built on a glass cannon of her day. Still more powerful than 1701C, but originally not as durable as other offerings in that size class.
@@RetroBadgerGaming Kirk doesn't cheat, he changes the rules. I think it was Lore Reloaded said Vulcans lied, nope: they're just skilled at molding the truth.
This fight went how I imagined. I feel these ships don't have too much of a technological gap between them as we will see with the next fight against the huge Enterprise-D. Can't wait for that one :)
It gets more than its share of disparaging remarks. Chief among them is Probert, himself disavowed it and regards the concept (Narendra) the true Ambassador.
You're right, the Connies and the Excelsior are warships... the Ambassador is a heavily armed cruise ship 😀. I think that the Federation started making ships for comfort after the Klingon peace treaty and the disappearance of the Romulans. I'll have to check into those "matters" that the Romulans told Picard they had to deal with. But while they were gone, they created some of the most powerful warships in the Alpha quadrant.
I actually tried to look up what the "matters" were. The most prevailing theory is that the Romulans were in a Civil War. But like everything Romulan, they kept it as quiet as possible. They didn't reveal themselves to the Federation until one side gained power.
How beautiful does the Ambassador look in most angles. So majestic. This thought has cropped up: how come USS Excelsior and Enterprises B rotate phaser types, the phew phew Motion Picture era and early TNG full beam? Is it Maru vs Remastered??
Nice. One weakness of these contests is you don't really get the human factor from the second ship in an allied pair. The A is probably worth two stock Connies but I feel like good human captains would do a better job of coordinating and supporting each other. Without a Kirk don't expect the A to go unscathed but I suspect it would be closer when C wins and the outcome more dependant on who is luckiest in the opening moments.
😲😲 lol. ''The Kirk Mobile'' nice one Admiral.. nice.. lol. yes the Ent B held up and the A.. wow. and All 3 Enterprises the Ent C held long. wow.. I knew was tough but against 2 others hmm. wow. also.. the Ent A. has Spock,, so just saying lol.. Wow the other way around Nice tactics Admiral.. noticed the phasers of the C a bit like the D.. hmm. and like Geordi said, '' Ent D was built from ground up'' hmm.. I would say. 70/30 since the ages of the ships but The Ent C was tough.. and name Ambassador Class so unit species.. and less pow, pow, zap, zap.. lol love the battle Admiral..!!😊🖖
The second battle is definitely closer to what would happen, as, noted by other commenters, though the A and B had more of a combat focus, the Enterprise C is about 50 years newer than Enterprise B. Great battles as usual. 🖖
The Ambassador class looks like a chunky, solid ship. But I also think that its name sort of says it all; it IS more advanced and more powerful, but the multirole cruiser nature of it pushes weaponry back in the mix. It's a LOT bigger than the Excelsior and the Connie (Kirk-mobile heh heh) put together. Indeed, despite the gap in dimension numbers between the Ambassador and the Galaxy classes; because the Galaxy has finely tapered edges to it, and the Ambassador is so chunky, I think the Ambassador would be closer in proportionate mass to the Galaxy than it is to the 'skinny' Excelsior. The Ambassador must have blown people's minds when the lead ship was unveiled!
Always strange to see that the Ent-C model has a Phaser array on the bottom of the secondary hull. The TNG Model didn't have that but almost all unofficial depictions added it
Keep the battles going! Does the game with the mods include ships from Klingon Academy? Loved and still love the Emperor Class as it is matched against the Excelsior. Also the upgraded Bird of Pray aka Insurrection class.
The B and C will probably stomp the base Galaxy class and win both ways but it may be extremely close The E should convincingly dominate the base D and C both and do it both ways .
So the main thing to remember is the A and B were both classes operating at the same time while the excelsior class was larger and more advanced the advances were marginal mainly in warp speed and total power output the constitution class and excelsior class were designed when the federation was between or actively engaged in wars with the klingons or romulans and as such had more resources devoted to shields and weapons while the ambassador class was post khitomer accords and was made mainly for exploration and diplomacy In fact the ships class name was indication of it being mainly a diplomatic vessel a lot of admirals in the TNG era had ambassador class vessels as their personal flag ships If not retro fitted excelsior class, also to add the gap In years between the A, B and C was less than the gap between the C and D so the tech aboard the A, B and C was mostly the same.
I still feel that the Excelsior class and the Enterprise A phasers aren't the same as the one we see in Wrath of Khan (visual effects). It should be a blue beam as we see on hand phasers on Star Trek V i think.
I can't get Remastered to work. I imagine TNG would edge it out because the weapons and defensive strength increases make up for a little less speed and turn rate.
The Enterprise C seems a bit under powered, considering the time difference between it and the A and B. Mind you, the threat of the Borg and Dominion really got things moving 🖖
I think the mod balancing should reflect the fact that the ambassador class was only in service for a few decades, while the genuinely indefatigable excelsior class stayed in service for over 100 years.
It's gratifying to see all these enterprises in one video. It puts me in a nexus of euphoria for 24 years!
I always loved the Ambassador class, RIP Rachel Garett
I heard she's coming back
@Mineralwasser436 That's right! In the new Section 31 movie. Imagine if we got to see the Enterprise C!

If you were to be face-to-face with Kirk and tell him that he was an annoyance... He'd find a way to Kobiashu Maru you.
LOL! I'd never want to face him at Poker. He must be the biggest card cheat in the fleet!

im really enjoying these time battles. This is almost like one of the first things i did when i first installed BC so it makes me smile
The ambassador class never gets the badass street cred it deserves.
It gets more than its share of disparaging remarks. Chief among them is Probert, himself disavowed it and regards the concept (Narendra) the true Ambassador.
Probert is delulu....this is the enterprise c we saw on screen and was an instant legend

Pretty good stuff. I've always liked the Ambassador Class. Too bad we didn't see more of this class in Star Trek.
Thing is the A has James T Kirk and that tactical mind of his. To bad you can't reflect that in the game.
Nice. One weakness of these contests is you don't really get the human factor from the second ship in an allied pair. That's a very good point. 🖖
Remastered dual banks are very well done
One thing your videos prove is that a competent captain is just as valuable as torpedo yield.
I’m a real big fan of these. Keep doing what you’re doing! Love the battles! This really kind of reminded me of “Yesterday’s Enterprise”.
Thanks for watching 🖖

The A was a force of nature because, Spock.
ambassador class will always be my favourite ship
Do you feel naked without your aft shield? 😉
Great as all ways RB 👏 👍

The Ambassador class is literal named after the opposite of a battleship.

That AI is an idiot 2nd time around with the excelsior.
I agree that this was fairly accurate.
I would’ve hoped by the time the Enterprise B was launched they’d have evolved beyond the strange chainsaw phaser sound. 😂😂
You should do this again but with the D instead of the C.
The B and C will probably stomp the base Galaxy class and win both ways but it may be extremely close
The E should convincingly dominate the base D and C both and do it both ways .
That's my thinking as well.
Enterprise-(B)east mode!
Though it is not my favourite i do like the ambassador class a lot.
That bridge between the Excelsior and galaxy class.
When Starfleet had some teeth

Wait a minute... You did a video showing 1701 refit vs 1701A and there was a massive difference
1701A blew 1701 out of the stats pretty handily.
Can we see a battle between the Saber class and Defiant?

Ah so its an A & B conversation C you on your way out
Try playing this in the Legacy mod. You won't need the Enterprise A to help you beat the C with Enterprise B.
Try Enterprise B and C against the D.
For the enterprise B, it better be Wednesday.
🤣🤣🤣
Where do i go to get mods?

You're just gonna work your way through the alphabet aren't you? 😄
dont care for the b n c versions!!!
The Enterprise C is a paper tiger.
