Why did it take so long for Harvey Weinstein to be outed for allegedly sexually harassing or abusing more than a dozen women? It has a lot to do with the degree of power Weinstein held in Hollywood, which was testified to, year after year, at the Academy Awards. Had these women refused his advances or exposed him alone, they could have lost their entire careers, he could have ruined them, he will have a team of lawyers who have undoubtedly taken many other people to help and back at such accusations!
He didn't do this alone, people knew, his assistants and team will have told women this is what they had to do and there would be no reason for them not to.
