Thanks for your guidance Steve. I am at the point where the only piece left to attach is the canopy. This is my first model build in over 40 years. I have alot more patience now than I did as a kid. Tamiya has engineered a precise-fitting kit and it has come together nicely. Your detailed work on the landing gear (with the wire) blew me away! You are the Guru!
To be fair I thought the weapons systems were far better to to look at than the model itself and the detail on them was another level, really great series 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You are a gifted model bulder and teacher. This has been an amazing journey for me, as new as I am to modeling. I am so happy with the progress I have made on my kit, and for the skills that I have developed that I learned from you. I am heading to your Pateron page right now to make another contribution. Thank you so much Steve!
Thank you so much Bob I really do appreciate all the support you give me here and over on Patreon. It’s very rewarding and motivational for me to know that doing the builds and videos helps you enjoy this great hobby of ours. My best regards Steve
What a partnership! Tamiya and Model Shed with Steve. Outstanding work on an engineering marvel. It's not a model - it art! I will never tire of watching your work.
Nicely done. Yeah whenever I build a kit that I’m going to display with a lot of stores I usually build them first just to get them out of the way they can get to be like a school project instead of fun after a while looking forward to the next one thanks
Beautifully done once again, Steve. Thank you for bringing us along! If it wouldn't be an intrusion, would you consider a video tour of your model display area? It would be a treat to see your work all together.
A beautiful work Steve. It is amazing to contemplate the progress of aircraft in a little over just one century, and this is just the junior version of the F35. It will be nice to see the Canadian liveries on our new purchases. Thanks for the build.
I recently painted some JDAMs, too, and know exactly what you mean about the complicated frame. They also had three yellow stripes at the front that needed to be painted. I saw Tamiya provided a decal for the single stripe/band on your JDAMs. I prefer decals for cone shape parts.
@The Model Shed Do you? When masking a cone, I have terrible experience with getting a straight edge. The tape needs to be cut with a radius and almost impossible to get right.
That was an incredible build, as usual your attention to detail was awesome. there were a lot of small fiddly decals that went on the weapons plus all the masking of them. As the fellow who has one of my other subscriptions said when he had to do a lot of masking: : "Welcome to masking hell!" Looking forward to the next Aircraft of The Aces build.

I hope you enjoyed it Ross - I certainly did
Congratulations! This is one of the finest finishig I've seen.
Thank you
I took your advice Steve and ordered the Eduard mask set. Should hopefully make the painting less frustrating.
Good decision I’m sure you won’t regret it 👍

Just first class Steve. A much more interesting subject in beast mode.
Agreed Phil - although I have no evidence of this aircraft in this configuration I think it’s worth the artistic license 🤔
Wonderful job. I'm always looking forward to a new video.
Thank you

That's a good idea might try that on the next jet
Super job Steve!
Thanks Finlay
This is the best Tamiya F-35 on RUclips! I’m so glad I discovered your channel! I will be using your work as a reference when building my own :)
Thank you and good luck with yours

Thank you Dietmar and thanks for joining chat tonight.
Amazing detail on the armament configuration loved the paint job ,the final reveal demonstrates the time and effort put into this build !

Amazing job again Steve, great attention to detail and the final reveal looks absolutely amazing.

Thanks Eddy
Great job, it looks amazing
Thanks Kevin 👍
Hi - Great job with the canopy which looks tricky...
It sure was the decals took an age to apply
A fine build series, impressive result.
Thanks Nicholas
Great build, hope mine comes out as good. Just to let know Galaxy models do a full set of masks for the model. Which also includes weapon masks.
I looked at those Gary but the ones I saw were for the Meng kit. didn’t realise they did one for the Tamiya.

Thanks Paul there will be decal options soon enough I guess
Excellent build and it look great. Love your builds and videos. Thanks
Thanks Rich

Normally I don't like nose stripe decals but these went on ok

For such a plain looking aircraft it’s a lot of work especially the masking 😬😬😵💫
Fantastic looking!
Been thinking of getting this kit myself, but it looks like too much for my meager skills.
It’s a great fitting kit but the paintwork is another thing ……..
Great work Steve, fantastic results, just got my kit yesterday and if it turns out half as good as your I'll be happy any hints on the next build?
Not sure John - I’m waiting on the Kotare spit but it’s delayed so I’ll pick up on the aces series with a nice easy 1/48 build.
@@TheModelShed Allied or axis? no pressure I'll wait like everyone else👍
Snow is indeed late this year, but what is normal these days
Amazing wow 👏
Thanks Marcin
Stunning mate. Do you ever use the other brush on your anti static jobby or like me forget its there
I’d forgotten all about it until this week Geoffrey but I’ve never had cause to use it 🤔
It's mad!!
So am I Paul. I must be to do all that masking and decal work. 😵💫😵💫😵💫
@@TheModelShed Right
This may be a stupid question but what type of glue did you use to mount the weapons to the plane?
I can’t remember TBH. I think they might have been push fits with poly caps if my memory serves
Hi Steve try as I can still can't find any of the 0.2 mm white PVC covered copper wire, can you please link me.
Kind regards Dave Porter London
I’ll have a look tomorrow Dave and see if there’s something on the packet - I’ve had the wire ages and can’t remember where I got it.
What ever happened to the building of the bismark
As I explained in the video Jim I’m doing some more on the Bismarck next week after I sort the workbench out.
Yhe~! Not so easy as though seen. 😅😅😅
