This message also kind of shames men too, it tells men that if they can't afford to have a stay-at-home wife they are trash husbands. MOST couples can't afford a single income household and that's okay! My husband and I both work and both take days off to cook, clean and raise our son. I don't like it when people shame these woman for staying home, but I don't appreciate being shamed for having to work either. I think we should just live our lives and mind our own business.

agreed, people shaming others for not taking a more "traditional" route fail to understand that even in the 50's this type of lifestyle was a privilege for most.

Yea as a young man it's been scary because of nasty men fetishizing the woman being a homemaker which is a good thing if your family can afford it but it's also been scary seeing a lot of women say that the man has to pay all the bills and is worthless if he can't even if the woman makes money. So your comment helps and I hope well on your relationship and family. I just sometimes from seeing the craziness feel like i'm going to be worthless if I don't make 80k or more but thankfully I have my dad and even though my stepmom is a homemaker they still believe it is good for both partners to work. Have a goo day.

Being a christian from birthbup until now, I love it when people say the Bible tells us how much women are only supposed to be home makers when that is so wrong. They twist the verse in Genesis that says that woman are to birth in pain as women are supposed to only have children. They twist the verse that says Adam is going to stuggle amidst the dirt and farming as only men are supposed to work. They fail to realize that in 1st kings, there is a woman who had to work to make sure her and her sone were fed. Deborah in the bible was a judge. The proverbs 31 woman was a wife, mother, AND she worked. On top of that, Paul in the new testement says that there will be those who dont get married and that it is probably better to be single like him. No, there is nothing wrong with wanting to be a SAH mother and wife, but don't push it on to others to be mandatory. I, like many other Christian women, have ambitions in life.
Plus, unless you have a rich hubby, it is not economically intelligent to leave the weight of finance on one person when anything can happen.

Assalam u Alaikum (peace be with you). I am a Pakistani feminist Muslim woman. I have noticed that these insta trad wives are mostly white women . If they love traditional roles so much they can come here in Pakistan. I know many Pakistani men have a type for white women & they will be crazy to know that these white trad wives are also traditional . Because here some people think white woman = feminist , bad women , sl*t , etc. I know they will never come to Pakistan & they can't even live one day here. They will never marry Pakistani men. I am not judging but i know some of these trad wives are r@ci3t towards men of colour . These white trad women are so lucky to be born in West. We are literally fighting for basic human rights. These trad women are so ungrateful. Even feminism gives them the rigth to choice to be a housewife or not to be a housewife. Seriously i hate marriage. I always wish to be born in west so at least my mom can divorce from my sh*tty dad. Divorce is a taboo in Pakistan. Divorce is literally considered a curse word in my mom side of family. My mom lived 25+ years as a traditional wife. Yet my dad did so much bad with my mom , me & my brother. Please ladies as a Pakistani this traditional thing is a scam . Go get your degrees, do a job , be financially stable , my best request is to dont marry at all or dont marry before 25 or also don't have children just in 1 yr of marriage. Dont have kids before 4 yrs of your marriage. Bcz if your spouse is a red flag. You will get easily divorce & at least kids will not suffer like me & my little brother. Bcz in Pakistan it's basically a culture to have kids just after 1 yr of marriage. Basically its a tactic that men use to control women & these men know that these women will stuck forever with them especially for kids.

"They do not look happy" again by looking people especially random people you can't judge someone that they are not happy in their life especially what reasons are for their sadness. Especially according to you "happiness" only comes from family & kids. About kids they can adopt. Adoption is much more noble than giving birth. So many children are suffering in orphanages. I will always choose adoption. Also in my religion Islam it's literally a very noble deed than giving birth . But unfortunately many South Asian Muslims today just think giving birth is the only thing & "happiness" they can achieve. They just want a child with their blood. Not someone else's blood. This behaviour comes from British colonizers which was a common practice among royal families at that time to keep family blood lines pure. About family. Just because someone is not married doesn't mean they don't have any family members. Like I am single. I have mom dad my brother & we 🇵🇰 have very huge families. So yeah I have very huge families from Both sides of my parents. Just because someone is not married doesn't mean they don't have any family members. Also in Islam marriage is not obligatory but optional. Having kids is also optional in Islam. I have severe mental issues, health issues, etc because of my own family my dad & my own mom. Even tho in Islam marriage is a very beautiful thing but I literally don't like marriage in general. I am sad , fat , depressed, weak , etc because of my own dad , mom & many of my family members. Not because I am not married or don't have kids. Because I was severely @b*3* not physically but mentally. So I am already suffering.

Liberal feminists doesn't talk on real life issues infact they use women who are literally suffering especially in third world countries just to promote their only fans . They are r@c**t , Misogynists , Islamphobic , etc. They are against the hijab niqab (which Muslim women wear) all the time. They use those Muslim women who are forced to wear hijab only to be Islamphobic & anti hijab. Then they blame all the women's sufferings on hijab & Islam instead of blaming men & patriarchy. Yes these liberal feminists are Misogynists they all the time blame men but when it comes to Islam or hijab they don't blame men. These liberal feminists lie they are against forcing hijab or even against hijab but when France banned Hijab abayas & even maxi skirts (if you don't believe me you can Google) they are silent. One of them speaks what France is doing. France put very heavy fines on the hijab. They even put Muslim women in pr!30ns just because of wearing hijab. Again where are liberal feminists when we need them. They are just white women putting identity labels. These liberal feminists used poor Mahsa Amini just for their white agenda. But when it comes to countries like France there is a pin drop silence. There are also many western countries banning hijab niqab. Then these western countries have the audacity to call themselves as a safe heaven for women but in reality it's not true. They fine Muslim women in millions , etc. I am against both forcing to wear hijab & forcing to remove hijab. But if liberal feminists are so against "force" then why they are so silent when it comes to France , Denmark , etc. These are basically Karens. These Karens solution to all the women is just wear bikini , only fans , etc. These Karens needs to get out of Muslim women's business.

Cooking is a basic life skill which all people should know regardless of sex or gender. Cooking has nothing to do with gender. Well at least we women wash our a**. Their are men who don't even wash because it is "gay" to wash .... Men literally don't even know basic hygiene. They think not shaving decades old armpit hair or down their is "gay " or "women thing". In Islam both men & women must remove armpit & down their hairs after 40 days. Basic hygiene has nothing to do with gender or sex. But their are men who refused to take showers for ages because taking showers is "gay". In Islam basic hygiene is must for both men & women. Atleast our Muslim men take showers, shave armpit hairs & wash their.....It's not Muslim culture thing. Its just white men who started this nonsense. Again "women don't even know to cook now" is a patriarchal statement that women main goal is to cook or clean. Our Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW used to cook his own food , mend his own shoes , sew his own clothes, etc. So in Islam cooking cleaning has nothing to do with gender. Men are also encouraged to help their wives in household chores if they have time.

Honestly, one of the scariest, most abusive toxic relationship situations I have ever seen was actually in one of these "trad wife" relationships. You might think it was against the wife, but it was actually against the husband. He was emotionally abused into working like 5 different jobs so that she could not only be a stay-at-home wife (which is fine) but ALSO spend tones of money basically curating her life into this "traditional" fantasy (not fine). When he became seriously injured on one of these jobs, she became physically, financially, and emotionally abusive against him, routinely telling him he was now worthless (since he couldn't earn money) while literally stealing all his money and refusing him money for things like food. She basically neglected him aside from constantly telling him what a failure. Men/boys, you are not just a paycheck, and deserve to be with someone who is going to be your partner (including things like not putting their Instagram fantasy above your safety and health, and still respecting you and loving you if you get injured). Wanting traditional roles for yourself is ok, but what i saw was downright toxic.

It's so funny to me because throughout most of history women worked too. They were often in charge of finances and servants if they were rich and planned social events. If they were poor they litteraly did the same work as their husbands or children. Even in Victorian times women who were high class but not rich did jobs outside the house. The "tradwife" is a thing that only came about for a brief time after the second world war Because men who served could afford to have a stay at home wife and Obviously it's nice to have a parent around the kids as much as possible. I was a "Trad Wife" for 14 years. It was a living hell. No joke. I'm grateful I got out alive. If it wasn't the abuse that would have killed me, I may have just ended it. I was that terrified, anxious, lonely 24/7.
The thing is, I was "making bread" next to the ex every day for years and never got paid.
I'm 5 years out and still healing and it's painfully hard. I wonder who I'd be if I hadn't experienced it, but then again, I'm stronger now and more MYSELF now because leaving the ex also brought forward the issues and dysfunction in my family of origin.
Case in point: my parents decided to tell me and my new (healthy/safe) husband that we weren't "traditional" because I was making more $ than him AND then they questioned our "church attendance". He was working 3 jobs and my mom had the nerve to say she was worried my now hubby was taking advantage of me. 🤦🏻‍♀️ A year later I told my mom we are egalitarian~ EQUALS. She didn't have much to say about that.
Deconstructing from religion and Trad Values has been hard but so worth it.

Staying home, baking and cooking and cleaning, and raising MY family instead of relying on someone else to do it for me? That brings me the most happiness and gives me the most respect for myself. Knowing that I'm free to embrace my femininity and actually enjoy something in a way that matters to MY family is the best thing for my mental health.
And just because my husband doesn't "see" me doing any of it while he's working, doesn't mean he automatically assumes I didn't do anything at all. He comes home to a clean house, a freshly cooked homemade meal, and a happy family at the end of every day.

I had agreed to a no-contest quick divorce to avoid alimony (I was the bread winner), which ended up with him taking most of everything, while I just got my clothes and the cat. I had to rebuild my life from the ground up and buy new furniture.
There’s no way I could’ve done that if I had relied solely on him like a trad wife, with no job experience or further education. I recently became a stay at home mom myself after a lifetime of being financially independent, and it scares me. My husband is very supportive, and he would never throw us out on the street, but the fact that working and raising a child became too much really grates on me as someone who legitimately tried to be financially independent and just couldn't meet everyone's needs due to the demands of job and family. I see other women who legitimately do enjoy it, and I honestly envy them because I wish I did, but I also don't understand how any woman can walk into a partnership with a man and be okay with the possibility that they will lose everything if something happens. It's one thing to want to be a housewife. It's another to think that you don't need or can't have anything else in life. Even housewives need backup plans because no one is going to bail you out if something goes wrong.

The fact that many of them are Christians like me, and want to shove the concept of marriage on everyone as obligation is what ticks me off. Hello, Catholic here, and I find your vids very funny, but I think a lot of people would misunderstand the bible verse you mentioned (Ephesians 6:5) and may take it out of context and give us Christians a bad rep, so here's a summarized explanation of that bible verse:
Ephesians was written by St. Paul, and during his time, slavery is still common in pagan Rome where Christianity is still illegal and can automatically mean a death sentence to anyone who converted to it. Christianity at that time was also considered as a "slave religion" by the rich/upper-class Romans since it was appealing to the low-class aka to a lot of slaves.
In that bible verse, St. Paul wasn't endorsing slavery in any way, but rather he was trying to say to not let slaves resort to violence against their masters because an uprising would have risked the persecution and death of a lot of Christians and of the whole Church if the Roman authorities became aware of it. St. Paul couldn't tell them to rebe against their masters or even revile them because even that would give them the death penalty.
Yes, St. Paul and the other apostles were against slavery, but they also knew that it was better to conquer evil with good than to commit anything bad. Also, during those days, loyalty to a master was a common way for slaves to be free from one's master in order to obtain manumission.
So yeah. Hope this clears anything up if anyone is curious about bible verse. ✌️

Hey Ray. This is wrong, this is a revisionist attitude. If St. Paul wanted to condemn slavery and the masters of slaves, he would have, because God was speaking through him. St. Paul had all the Christian authority of the world at the time, as well as God behind him. Instead, he did not condemn slavery, but condone it.

    • @katmaw5910
      @katmaw5910 3 месяца назад +1

I'm glad someone else put this here, I thought about clarifying it, myself. It's also worth remembering the passages that follow Ephesians 6:5, where St Paul reminds masters who are Christians to treat their slaves well. This was a time where slavery was unfortunately second nature in the system and the Lord was bringing about change but it had to start with the hearts of the members, first, especially during times of persecution and political unease. St Paul says to slave-owners to remember that they are "slaves" in the grand understanding that God's authority trumps all, so with their form of power they ought to remember that He is watching their behaviours and treatments of their slaves. Also there's the whole letter to Philemon in which St Paul does subvert the master-slave dynamic.
      God bless!

Most of these women don't want to "work" - which leads me to believe that they never had a household to take care of in the first place. Like, I don't have kids and live with m parents, but there is always so much to do and clean (we are also honestly very messy :D) that thinking of only doing that is the most depressing view of life.
Women have always worked. It is our definition of "work" that has changed. But giving that most people lived somewhat rural and had also animals, fields, gardens (and kids!) to also take care of is a buttload to do - and in most families, this was done by all the members of the family! People lived self-sufficient for the most part and coming from someone who nearly lives like that - it's a lot of work that can't be dealt with alone!

The Ephesians 6:5 original translation says servants, not slaves, and yes there is a difference. The King James Version is DIRECTLY translated from Greek which is what most of the New Testament was originally written in. And before anyone says it could be the same word in Greek , it’s not. “ypirétis” is the Greek word for servant while “doúlos” is the word for slave.

To me the most ironic part is this; housewives in the 50’s were in women’s clubs, organizing constant charity functions, organizing politically, peopling the PTA, and they were a huge force for good that we still haven’t replaced with any other social group. They built hospitals and schools - y’all remember the last time you saw a hospital or university built?

First, love your content & the perspectives you bring to topics. I just want to offer some historical context on the verse if you're interested. Second slavery was very different in ancient culture, as much as 1\3 of the Ancient world were slaves at one point & there were a lot of ways to be released often within 10 years (with the exception of some criminals & captives). Third Christianity spread quickly also to people who were slaves but they had no context for who God was or what that meant in their lives. Different groups *of the time* are mentioned in that chapter & match up with idea "bless your enemy & do good to those who harm & despise you". God knew people weren't just going to stop selling slaves but the current slaves AND MASTERS who believed could certainly change their choices. God encourages masters not just treat to slaves like an employee but one of the family because they are brothers in Christ, equals before God.

These people don’t exist in real life. Let’s make that clear. My mother is a “traditional wife” and do you think she’s skipping around in a long dress while pregnant constantly? No, she’s trying to raise her children to be decent, to keep her husband in line, and live her life. Is my mother a slave? Heck no, does she make her husband do the dishes when she’s tired? Yes, does she have backup money and a job if she and my dad ever divorce? Duh.

But all the traditional wives i know manage the finances in the house, help their husbands with home maintenance, teach their children advanced subjects, somehow start a business at home for homemade crafts or food while also cooking in the kitchen for the family.

Just look at how women are treated and violated in the societies where feminism has had the least impact so far. This whole "trad" thing is a breeding ground for predators. Just like p3d0s seek out "mommy vloggers" 🤮 when they can't access CP, predators will seek out environments where they can have the most power over their intended victims and get away with their ab*se the most easily, i.e., "traditional" settings.
