"The Wet Dream of a casual fan"
WOW. This is legit TV material right here boys. Couldn't be any more grateful that we as the community get content of this caliber for free.
Extremly well made video. Also great choice to take thorin. More pls
+1
as FaZe fan its depressing to watch
same dude same...
especially the 15:14 mark boston major
But why would you be a Faze fan? O.o
@@krause6612 wdym im a fan of my own its my own opinion
@@norbertas1870 Ya I know, just joking ^^ (I am not that big of an Fan of Faze)
@@krause6612 I'm kind of a faze fan and the reason why is I watched pro counterstrike first time at boston major and it made me have a soft spot for fraze and cloud 9 and cloud9 slowly dismantled into nothingness so I only really like faze, also I think Niko is a great player and I kind of like the idea that they are god like players who simply can't seem to win anymore.
God bless the guy that approved a thorin mini documentary
This was amazing. Thanks Dexerto and Thooorin for all the inspiration!
That major final against C9 still hurts
this vid better blow up
This is an awesome format! Thorin or Richard are the best options for this format!
This will explode if exposed correctly!!
FaZe: Losing against the old teammates.
apart from c9
Still feels bad, that day, that major. Still gonna cry in a corner now
10:08 so that's why TACO ended up on Liquid
Lol
lmao
Fantastic, can't wait for more videos like this!
Thanks! Plenty more to come.
@@DEXERTOCSGO dexerto is nice, love this however I cannot go on any of your website articles because of the auto play video. Please fix
SomeEnglishGames it is closable after 10 seconds
@@michaelkent5390 yea it still sucks a lot though
Beautiful video! Excellent editing, voiceover and music. Thanks guys!
Well said. And Thorin kills it when he does story telling with the type of music used in the video. Overall it was just great.
They won ELeague Invitational and Blast Pro Miami this year with a major winner - AdreN, who doesn't fit in the team at all. Now they got Neo, a new igl. Hopefully they'll do better now.
happy to be a part of CSGO community.. we get such great content for free.... No wonder CSGO has stood the test of time.... staying relevant in the so called Fortnite & Pubg era...!!!
Excellent voice work, and great footage. Such a wonderful narrative. This genuinely adds value to the community & its history. Thank you, Dexerto.
That was great, more of a video essay than a documentary, but still great.
This is a very fine piece of storytelling, which really goes in-dept with the teams history so far. So thank you for giving the cs community a chance to understand what happened to the most skilled lineup ever created, in just 20 minutes.
I am also very surprised and amazed of how extremely well Thorin managed to voice this film.
This was masterfully done! Fantastic choice bringing on Thorin. Great job Dexerto!
What a great documentary. The right way to accompany Thorin's knowledge. Some more statistical overlays or transcript blend ins would have been the only details missing.
Regarding the topic of FAZE, I still miss Karrigan... :)
FaZe... You had such potential.
watching this back as huge fan of the team, gave me goosebumps at how well made this is, super excited already for karrigan's return
I'm loving Richard's interviews and I hope to get more of these from thorin.
Seriously well made well researched vid
Loved it
Please more thorin documentary style videos
anyone else getting thescoreesports vibes?
also well-made video!
being a faze fan its heartbreaking to watch that stewie solo b round
they deserved it for niko's assholery
same :(
Heartbreaking story, but there is still a glimmer of hope and will always be
Nahhhhhhh
Sorry to break it to you mate
Unless they fucking wake up there's no chance
@@adamhassan385 they're dead, can't wake up a dead body!
Still no hope yet
Such a good video WOW good job man
thoooooooooorin is awesome, finally a thorin (ish) video with a cool video not just commentary
Thorin makes a perfect narrative for this. Great video!
A really well made video! Keep it up!
IEM Oakland 2017 is the best tournament ever. There were so many deag headshots that some people started calling for the deagle to get nerfed.
Very well. Made, also made me cry a little as a big faze clan fan... Very sad to see how close they were to. Making it all.. Still it was great times and great memories
it makes me sad again, every time
PLEASE more Thorin. Fantastic.
Part of the reason I am a fan of Faze, is that lots of their losses are so shocking and heart-breaking, they are tragic on an epic level.
thanks dexerto for producing this with thorin, dream content for a cs fan
Please for the love of god do more of these
More Thorin please! This was awesome!!
2:58 Guardian is such a goof, i don't want him to leave:(
Absolutely love this, Thorin is the perfect man for the job as well. More please!!!!
LOVE THIS. SO WELL DONE
Great way to tell a story... wp Dexerto & Thorin
This is pure TV Grade Documentary !
Living in Boston, I think i'll regret not going to that major for the rest of my days :(((
Remember watching this back when it came out and feeling fucking depressed. Now after the Major in Antwerp it is just soooo satisfying to finally see FaZe break that curse, I'm just really sad Guardian never got his major, I hope NiKo manages to win one in his career.
Also just would have been amazing to see Olof win a third one with a completely different lineup.
This was depressing. Especially how things are going now with FaZe. It’s genuinely crazy how FaZe became so unlucky. Their era was just not meant to be yet. Hopefully one day we can get a FaZe era and a major. :(
😳
Nice video. Thanks Thoorin!
I've been saying this forever. Thank you for finally being the one to step up and call FaZe out on that
Proof that it dosnt matter if you are individualy best in pro cs.
This was god tier content
That boston major was such a throw
Love this and love Thoorin! :>
The Boston loss still hurts the soul
Really wanted this team to succeed :(
this is world class content!
Been a fan of the team since they were Kinguin (with only Rain remaining). Frustrating affair, just how close they've gotten so many times, but cruel twists of fate prevented them time and time again. How Faze are even considered a top 10 team right now, is to me strange. They seem to inexplicably be able to lose to just about anyone these days.
Straight fire
Why no mention of failure at EPICENTER vs VP in group stage?
Amazing video tho can't wait to see more like it
It really does show that FaZe had many chances. Really sad to see high skilled players break down after a couple of major losses.
This was legit. Can honestly listen to thorin read me a dictionary.
I got ptsd from that major final
Holy shot this was a good video
This hurts my heart as a Faze fan
This vid was some heat
Don't worry guys, NEO will bring them back to glory xD
big XD from me dawg
neo washed up
Neo needs to take a break and come back he's been in the scene non stop for like 10 years now
@@DvRealm you serious? He literally came back from retirement.
Stresses ex from a team yes i mean from the game completely
Awesome stuff boiz.
I liked that Thorin slowed down for this one.
"As Blast Pro Series Copenhagen was a smaller exhibition tournament..." Savage
All BLAST are small exhibition tournaments, that's a fact
Thooorin is the David Attenborough of ESports
Amen on that.
Now this is epic
Loosing the Boston Major is what really fucked them up
Benching Karrigan was a mistake imo
Karrigan really was not the problem
I agree. Sure, they already had their problems with him, But as we can see there's no other top tier IGL available now. They should have considered removing anyone but NiKo and karrigan in my opinion.
@@empi955 Olof for sure, He is good and was great but rain and guardian have more potential and raw skill
@@empi955 Olof for sure, He is good and was great but rain and guardian have more potential and raw skill
@@gordonramsdale Yeah, Olof is definitely the one they should've cut a long time ago, no offense to him. But GuardiaN and rain have to be considered aswell, one move will probably not suffice to fix the massive issues that FaZe have right now. Right now I'd probably cut Olof immediately, then NEO if he doesn't do the team any good in the upcoming tournaments, and lastly if needed GuardiaN, because I feel like he's been very unmotivated and there are AWPers out there who currently seem to have more potential, even if it's being wasted. I might keep rain, because while he is inconsistent, he still does a lot of entry work for the team, and he still shows flashes of brilliance at a somewhat frequent rate. It's hard to predict which addition would prove to be the best, but if FaZe have the money I'd love it if they could get karrigan back, which, in spite of all the issues FaZe have had even with him, still seems to be the best move. Of course any other proven IGL could work, preferably somebody who has experience with playing internationally. Then I'd add chrisJ, he's an overqualified support, he's super versatile and would be a perfect fit in my opinion. Lastly, I'd consider AWPers such as w0xic or oskar or any other AWPer. The dream would obviously be s1mple, but that ain't happening in the near future. One last perhaps slightly crazy idea would be to just hand over the AWP to NiKo, I imagine if he practices it more frequently he could become very good with it. He seems to enjoy AWPing aswell. What do you think?
18:08 where did they get that footage? It looks so awesome! I can’t find it anywhere. :(
This could be something you can watch on netflix
Excellent video, Thorin :)
Good shit
karrigan's face in that thumbnail LOL
he had a stroke
The face when you get kicked of your own superteam for the second time
Ain't that niko?
So much better than The Score. Never forget their OK sign video
Great piece on a great failure. Maybe the pacing could've been better but content wise it was great.
Kinda miss the impact in the voice, as in the mic might not be suited for this kind of documentary style video
10:10 Taco drops trophy in Fallen hahaha
This is why I view Karrigan as a failure. He’s always had top 10 talent surrounding him, and never has lived up to the success that his teams should have.
you must make a video about lg/sk just like this one.
I just cant stop laughing at rain's jersey number
I would never believe Could 9 could win a major. But they did it. I guess money indeed doesn’t guarantee you a victory.
I love thorin 😍😍
Astralis really took the Era that Faze should have. And, tbh it has definitely been disappointing. But this roster is still really strong. Although they are no longer the same roster without Karrigan. The roster is still a scary looking one because of it having many top players in the past years.
"It's gonna be one quiet crowd tomorrow"
That didn't age well
he was talking about faze fanbase
im not crying you are
Well made video! I love it, could've only been better if FaZe Actually won. :(
As much as it pains me to admit this
FaZe looking like ass right now
Benching karrigan was a bad decision
I feel bad for Niko and GuardiaN. Two players, obviously better than their peers, trying to win a major but never did. I hope they just go on a miraculous run and win it all.
Am I the only one who just realized how huge rain really is
This hurts my soul
7:06 thats my gfs nickname too
gg Cloud9!!
A decent summary of the era that could be, but Thorin spends more time here explaining why other teams shouldn't have beat Faze than actually explaining what went wrong for Faze. Or for that matter why other teams were able to upset them.
Cloud9 for instance were making significant strides on multiple maps (most notably Inferno and Overpass) just prior to the major that went largely unnoticed by analysts whose attention were fixed on Faze, SK, Liquid, Mouz, etc.
Fnatic were playing what was likely to be Golden's last event with the team, and motivated by a particularly poor showing just prior to Katowice where they got bounced 0-3 from a groupstage for the first time. One player (Flusha) having a revitalized performance does not win a bo5 series.
Should have stuck with karrigan, but niko the bosnian won't have any of that. SHAT UP!
