Thor: Don't act like you know me! Kratos: I know who you are because you are me! I have seen a few MCU references, but that line sums up their dynamic nicely. Thor is the sorrowful, self-loathing Kratos from the original game whose path of violence has been consuming him. Even though he mocks Kratos for trying to be a father and change things, Thor is much the same way after what he did to his own son. While Odin is the main villain, facing Thor represents the biggest sign of Kratos' growth. Kratos has learned how much like him Thor is, and if he's given himself a second chance, doesn't Thor deserve one? Even if Thor dies, he did manage to not be his father when it came to raising Thrud.

Thor honestly wasn’t that strong compared to the gods Kratos has killed, he was just unlucky to be fighting even this holding back Kratos. Kratos has the physical power of every creature and god/titan hes ever killed + his own. And no, Kratos didn’t lose this ability when the Greek pantheon died. Kratos was so OP in the original trilogy lol he was filled with spartan rage for the entirety of those games and was powered up from Pandora’s box he had HOPE and what not lmao he was also heavily motivated from the death of his wife and daughter, very different circumstances compared to now, if Atreus died that’d probably make Kratos snap and go all out like he use to, He’d just be missing the power of HOPE which is a big deal but still he’d be almost as strong.
Dude, we got 4 games on major platforms and 2 PSP games with Kratos just going around murdering people. The makers of these games were getting really tired of doing the same thing over and over. The whole point of these new games is to be personal and reflective.
It wasnt even a charged up frost axe, it was jus raw clash, enhanced full power lightning thor against base kratos. With raw strength he outright won the axe hammer clash then rendered thors recalling hand useless fully ready to stomp thors face in but didnt. Thor took advantage of kratos holding back in the first fight. But now as thor fully intends to kill him, kratos not only keeps his rage under control the whole fight but simply overpowers the god of thunder and battles odin all without spartan rage. Notice in the WHOLE fight with both of em we never used spartan rage during the cutscenes. That same swing thor hit kratos with that KOd him in the first fight, he took again to the face while it was lightning imbued, shit looked like it tickled. This dude kratos is wildly strong.
I think both of them have the same level of strength and power. In the second fight Kratos was weary of Thor’s full power and knew how to counter it. He wasn’t holding back in strength, but he WAS holding back in mentality. His goal was never to kill Thor in this fight, just to beat him and help him see reason. 4:44 voice KRATOS like he was young
Kratos learns from his mistakes during fights. Especially in his fight with Baldur
This Thor is literally SO MUCH MORE BADASS as the MCU Thor xD
You Completely missed the point there lmfao he's supposed to be
MCU Thor is pretty much just comic relief lol
You mean original Thor is better than pretty boy quota Thor?
There is less than a single second between Thôr saying "no" and Odin motioning twords killing his last living Blood. Odin didn't give a full seconds thought and just like that "he has to do everything around here"

Thor is kratos' parallel if kratos joined and obeyed olympus
I gotta be honest, as a final boss, this fight felt pretty lackluster to me. The fact that we fight him in this basic arena with 3 similar phases is a problem. I expected something grand and bombastic; I really wanted to see Kratos riding on top of Jormungandr fighting Thor all over Asgard. The first Thor fight was so much better; in fact Baulders final fight was better. Which sucks cause the story was so fantastic and Thor was a great character. He deserved a better send off. Its still a bit sus how his body evaporated like that when Odin and Heimdall didnt do that when they died.
Well Odin had his soul transferred but I don’t know about Heimdalls
Probably due to it being Odin who killed him
Can you just appreciate for once how good of a game it is? Really hate people nitpicking everything, you give somebody something great once, and then they expect something even better next no matter how good something is

It’s one of his personal natural abilities, same as his healing and physical power. Also Kratos only lost his elemental abilities (as stated in game)
He only lost his weapon and hope power
@@amoghsawant3801 he mentions in ragnarok that he can’t use his elemental powers, and can’t use his extra abilities like posidons rage, spartan army, etc. but there’s not a single reason to think he didn’t keep his strength gained from after they died, as otherwise there was no point.

Well, he did redeem himself, the important thing was that his daughter got to see that him redeem himself and have a change of heart, so in the end, he actually kind of saved his daughter
Why do the makers of the game not just let kratos go all out for once like in the original trilogy
Cause he changed
Kratos was so OP in the original trilogy lol he was filled with spartan rage for the entirety of those games and was powered up from Pandora’s box he had HOPE and what not lmao he was also heavily motivated from the death of his wife and daughter, very different circumstances compared to now, if Atreus died that’d probably make Kratos snap and go all out like he use to, He’d just be missing the power of HOPE which is a big deal but still he’d be almost as strong.
He went all out lmao. Thor simply stronger. Stop crying

Jormungand and Thor fighthing is epic
I think both of them have the same level of strength and power. If we look at both of them, Thor is emotionally conflicted and just fighting angry and he just got back fighting Surtur and the World Serpent so he's still poisoned. Meanwhile Kratos is the more focused one here. Also damn, what's up with all the other comments saying this Kratos is weaker, it has already been said that Greek gods grow stronger as they get older so this is prime Kratos period.
Nope Kratos is weaker He already said he had killed god's far powerfull than these aesir and he can't do all the moves from Greece and all
@@sahinbegum8264 He's not weaker, he's holding back by not giving into his rage and not trying to kill Thor. Kratos basically nerfed himself hard but it's technically character development.

@@degenerateweeb1482 I think people misunderstand what the game means by “holding back” sure in the first Thor fight Kratos was getting his ass beat because he didn’t know how much of a powerhouse Thor was. In the second fight Kratos was weary of Thor’s full power and knew how to counter it. He wasn’t holding back in strength, but he WAS holding back in mentality. His goal was never to kill Thor in this fight, just to beat him and help him see reason. It’s honestly pretty impressive that Thor beat the world serpent and then came back and gave a (much more powerful than the start of the game) Kratos an intense and demanding fight. Idk just my interpretation.
