Good video you made it really easy to follow how you explained things
Thank you. Glad to be of help matey
Done mine last years now they go CLUMP like a Bentley ........NOT BOING like a Mondeo ! Mega shed!! Proper job mate!!
Thank you
I never even considered the 2 front doors, cheers Jay. The big plus point on this channel is the slow speed and full explanation leaving people to feel they really can do this at home, looking forward to the rest of the van
Thank you for the kind words mate. Awesome comment 🙏 very much appreciated and glad to be of some help. I like to help people build their own if I can.
Excellent video very thorough and helpful thank you.
This is great! Glad I found this video because I want to do this job on my T5 and having read the Haynes manual I was dreading taking that inner panel off. Much easier. Cheers Jay!
No problem. Glad to be of a help. Have some more awesome videos coming up soon so hopefully they may help on other jobs also
Jay that was a good video, you really explained everything, so good look forward to the next video
😊😊
Thank you Carol. Very kind of you 🙏
Just an add if you drill a small hole in the roller handle put some fishing line or good string through and leave it long just in case you drop it and it snags its just easier to retrieve
Great tip for people mate thank you. Awesome comment 👌
Yes Jay! Another banger 💥 Cheers mate ✌️🔧💯
Thank you guys. Always very appreciated
Hi Jay .. Nice job good information.
Hey Terry. Thank you 🙏
I be a campette lol 😂 nice to see you another good vlog can’t beat wd40 good for lot things glad to see your doing ok .you make it look so easy ,that’s my biggest regret not learn to drive but lack of confidence now please stay safe
Thank you 😊
I need to do my doors so thanks this will help me greatly!
No problem matey glad to be of help. I did a full video on the door card removal before this video. I would recommend checking that video out also as I’ve added a lot of information and detail to help with this job. 🙏
Nice one Jay 🙂👍
Thank you matey. Loved your VE Day video forgot to comment. 🤦♂️
From what I remember as long as 40% of the panel is covered any more won't make a difference.
Awesome information matey thank you.
Can you take the plate off the door to full sound proof the inside of the door?
Yes mate you can. I mentioned that in the video?
👌👌👌
🙏🙏 stay safe Carolyn
@@JaysFabShop You too Jay....😉

Quick question mate, sound deadening my rear floor ,
Got some over spray of glue from carpet should I try and get this off or will it be ok to still the mat on top of the glue ?
Hey matey. To be honest I have glue on my floor now also. You can clean it if wanted but personally myself I’m going to just leave it. It won’t cause any harm or smell or anything so seems a pointless effort to scrub off.
@@JaysFabShop but will the sound deadening mat stick down properly?
People keep saying make sure the floor is clean ?
Hi Jay, what would you think is a realistic budget to do a conversion with a pop top, to a fairly high spec?
Hey mate. That’s a very difficult one to be honest mate as it all depends how much you will be doing yourself? So for example I would say 4/5 k for everything but then you could spend just that on a pop top alone. Could be as low as 2.7 k depends on a few factors or could be as high as 8 k. One thing I will say though in my opinion. Building a van to a very high spec isn’t all about fitting the best or most expensive parts. You could fit cheap alternatives but it’s the standard of work that counts and what you would get judged on if that makes sense. I will
Use VW glass in my next one if I ever build another.
@@JaysFabShop Thanks Jay, I'd hope to do it all myself although cutting the hole in the roof seems really daunting. How much did you spend on your pop top, and would you recommend the one you used? Love the videos BTW and the quality of your work👍
Thank you mate means a lot. My pop top was £1100 delivered. I think it’s a good pop top for the money. It is perfect for me. Can’t complain for the money to be honest. I love mine.
But it is personal choice. Ino pop tops can be very very expensive so it’s choosing the middle ground I think is key
Jay Saunders where did you get your pop top from?
Cheers
Hi how do you get on with insuring this?
Just as normal mate and tell them what I have done.
