Nothing to say I guess. I really wanted to do some Organization comparisons, but I'm missing japanese Demyx-videos. So I made this instead. -___-
Characters: Donald, Goofy, (king) Mickey, Leon, Yuffie, Aeris, Cid, Cloud and Tifa.

And Mew in the first Pokémon movie. ...Those "mew meww" sounds come naturally to him - no pitching involved whatsoever.

Yoki Zeshi if you're Japanese you probably can. English Donald is even hard to understand, but I'm a native English speaker so I can fill in the blanks

Actually i can hear japan pronoun word by word in katakana if japan dub or voice but if donald i only hear spell casting

I really love how faithful JP Donald is to actual Donald. It almost sounds like they’re one voice actor but multilingual. They just have the same vocal technique.
Mickey sounds like what happens when an American middle schooler tries to speak Japanese.

I already don’t speak Japanese, yet Japanese Donald sounds EXTRA incomprehensible...just sounds like Donald. Donald gibberish. It’s perfect. But I also wish I could make out the syllables XD it’s magical, holy crud his voice actor is talented as heck to do Donald so perfectly
I’m actually impressed that they went through the trouble of lip syncing both languages.

I find it hilarious hearing Japanese Disney characters XD I don't know why, it's just so weird
Wayne Allwine's not as enthusiastic as Mickey as he is in the cartoons. But then again, Mickey is more of an anime hero in the KH games.
Riku is voiced by motherflippin Houoin Kyoma!
In my opinion:
Donald: English. I'm used to the English voice, with my mom being a Disney Obsessive.
Goofy: English. Same reason as Donald.
Mickey: Definite English. YOU KNOW WHY!
Leon: English. Don't know why.
Yuffie: Japanese. A higher voice fits her better.
Aeris: Japanese. Same as Yuffie.
Cid: English. Goes along with his appearance.
Cloud: English. Don't know why.

Well, that's too bad because I'm Japanese and I understand Donald pretty well. Also, Mr. Yamadera, the person behind the Japanese Donald, was actually praised for his dub by Disney. Disney gave him a wristwatch of Donald with his name engraved on it, I think. So Yeah.... Why are we comparing languages anyways? I thought this was just comparing voice.
I realize Goofy is much better in English, but in my case the Japanese voice is the one I grew up with, so I'm a bit biased towards it.
Steve Burton as Cloud is awesome. He brings out Clouds personality perfectly.
I can't believe for the main characters all these like really famous actors and actresses were the voices. you do not see that often.
Donald: Both surprisingly. His Japanese VA is Really GOOD.
Goofy: Same Donald. His Japanese VA is also REALLY GOOD.
Mickey: Same. Both.
So lay off the hate.The JVAs are just legendary just like their English Counterparts.
Leon: Actually I like his English VA better. Maybe because of Dissidia.
Yuffie: um...undecided. BTW didn't Mae Whitman voice Katara in Avatar?

Mickey, Goofy and Donald's Japanese VAs are REALLY talented, of course disney wouldn't mess up with it
Hey, Radiant Garden is actually one of Cheria Barnes's Hi-Ougis in Tales of Graces. So, they put the name for a town.
Only their English voices can fit Mickey, Donald and Goofy. The Japanese voices sound weird. Although Donald's Japanese voice sounds okay, he did got the voice right.
Well, yeah, it was really well done, but what I meant was it's relatively hard to hear compared to the others.
And it's not really comparing languages, we're still on the subject of Donald's voice, really.
Don’t forget George Newbern and Toshiyuki Morikawa as Sephiroth.
@ hyy4bu54Mickey's Japanese his voice doesn't sound as cheery as it does in english but it's more like firm and masculine but still warm and friendly.I like it.

hearing donald in japanese was pretty interesting. i thought it was cool how they emulated the american voices so well. americans should do that when translating animes. well for the most part i wouldnt want to hear gokus japanese voice in english lol
Um, I'm pretty sure Leon is voiced by Dough Erholtz in every game he appears in after Kingdom Hearts, including Dissidia Final Fantasy. David only voiced him in Kingdom Hearts, the same way Billy Zane only voice Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, in Kingdom Hearts and then was replace by Richard Epcar in all the games after.

The two that most stood out to me were English Cid (much better than Japanese Cid) and Japanese Cloud (who just sounds fantastic compared to English Cloud - Takahiro Sakurai's deeper voices always sound great).
When leon was explaining about the construction of a new hollow bastion what was the large dark floor at the bottom of that castle, was it heartless?
The Japanese Donald voice is dead-on.
Goofy's voice sounds off in Japanese, but at the same time, I'm not sure what else they could've done. Goofy's vocal tics feel very uniquely American and I'm not sure if there is a way that can be translated to Japanese. So I guess they gave him a dumb guy cartoon voice?
it is said that they changed Mandy Moore to Mena Suvari for Aerith's voice because it was criticized by fan, by I prefer Mandy Moore
It is pretty freaking epic that Square could find a voice actor who can speak in Donald's voice in Japanese!

Bits and pieces do, but it really just sounds like the voice actor was confused, and was MOCKING Mickey’s voice.

Japanese Donald sounds NO different from English. Same vocal technique and pitch, which musta took a lot of training.

A bit deeper, sure, but the way he says ‘Gawrsh!’ In Japanese just sits so well.

I will always remember Cloud by his Japanese voice. Sakurai Takahiro is just my favourite because of all the roles he's done and the categories some of those roles are in.
I like Hideo Ishikawa as well. He pulls of the leadership role in Leon as well.
Plus, I like his performances as Itachi and Ukitake.
Yuffie is Tink from the Tinkerbell movies
Japanese Donald Duck sounds like a Japanese VTuber trying to do ASMR.

I enjoy Doug Erholtz as Leon. He sounds very tough, like a real leader. Now that I listen to him more closely, he does kinda sound like Gin Ichimaru from BLEACH.
David Boreanez does pull off Leon's sullen, shameful nature in KH1, too.

Man...if they brought in Andrea Bowen earlier for KHII and FFVII: AC, I would have enjoyed seeing Aerith a whole lot more. I'm really glad they found her for Crisis Core.

Well, he'd make a better Dissidia Squall, since after Squall IS 9 years younger in the game o.o
Arith's english voice makes her sound....spacey, or just off, like she's not all there...
Aeris, Cloud and Tifa (English) sound a little more like their actual FF7 counterparts should. Soft, deeply conflicted or encouraging and romantic (as in hoping for a better time).
Their JP voices sound a little too strong-willed or upbeat.
thats because hes not david in this, david only played leon in kh1 in kh2 hes played by doug erholtz which in my opinion is better suited for him ^_^
i just like sakurais voice.... i honoustly love it. he's made so many roles i like i've grown keen into it
Donald and Goofy are two characters that can ONLY be done with their English voice-actors. No matter what.
Hmm, maybe it's 'cause I'm so used to hearing them in English, but I actually prefer the English voices. Disney characters, granted, but even the ones that originally were Japanese. Japanese Goofy was weird, Donald actually sounded about the same, just felt like he was talking gibberish, and Mickey kind of the same story XD Leon's voice is definitely sexier in the English, though---Cloud, either way XD
only Leon and Merlin seems that fit with the japanese one.
Mickeys Voice has a very high voice... he's actually eating helium or something.

They're both in FFVII too, since Hideo Ishikawa is Cait Sith. They're also in Bleach as Ukitake and Izuru, in Saint Seiya's Hades arc as Jabu and Shiryu, and in Getter Robo vs. Neo Getter as Ryoma and Go. That's a ton of major characters.

i think you should have put the FF characters full names, like, Squall Leonheart, or Cid Highwind, etc... but thats just what i think.
I only just figured it out that Radiant Garden is a reference to the Gardens back at FF8!!!!

That's the wrong voice Actor you have for Leon. The one you listed played him in kingdom hearts 1. But in kh2 Leon is played by Doug erholtz. The same guy who voices gin, and uranara from bleach, asuma from naruto, t.k from digimon :) oh and mae Whitman who plays yuffie is also katara from avatar! Haha
I sympathize the Japanese now, Donald's english is bad, but it didn't even sound like a language when FM Donald came on.
the disney characters voices are alot better in english since thats they how sounded like originally and the japanese dub doesnt fit them that well
