This was the big moment on the LP for me. The ending hit me like Summer Well and Surveillance, and this song should absolutely score a film trailer. Thank you, boys!
This, along with Toni were the only highs of this album for me. The other songs are quite unremarkable. They barely even get through my head.
Also it's reminicent to PDA's final.

There's so much that I love from this song, it's so well executed! When I first heard that riff come in at 1:02 I knew it would come back, and then it does! And sends the song spiraling into an outro of awesomeness! Renegade hearts make escape art! Definitely the highlight of the album, among so many other gems! Interpol is STILL going strong 20 years later, love to see it!
It's funny, I happened to meet Paul in 2004, and I told him I thought they were great! He said something like "oh we're not that great". I want to meet him again, I'm sure he won't remember that, but I wanna tell him and say, see, you're great!!
This record surpasses The Marauder in so many ways. It has so much more cohesiveness, fluidity, groove and power, not to mention the gorgeous production that does do justice to the rhythmic section !
The outro of this song is orgasmic...

At 3,00,, with an unexpected trend, the bass and the voice become more intense and dramatic, increasing the excitement already evident in the final part of the song. Wonderful!

Always loved most song titles of the 'Pol. They intrigue you and make you play the song to find out what it is like, or what it feels like.
Love the energy of this song! Reminiscent of echo and the bunny men but with Paul’s killer hooks and That riff is insane

Gotta say i love his voice in this song. Sounds more interpol paul and less Julian Plenti/Paul Banks.
Especially the refrain reminds me of The Strokes. Definitely one the best (if not the best) song of this album!
