Another great video Eclipse! I’ve played WOT console for over a year now, and I quit several times because I would just get blown up in first minute of every game. Then I found this channel, with excellent videos explaining the mechanics, the upgrades, play styles and so much about the game. I went from the worst player on the teams to a regular top 5, my tanks and commanders are getting the most useful skills and upgrades now. The short version of understanding sloped armor is this: A perpendicular hit horizontal shell and vertical armor, i.e. 90-degrees) gives you the best chance for a penetration. Shooting down on the top plate or up on the lower plate, for example. A worthwhile video, Eclipse. Thanks.
Great work eclipse! Hopefully many beginners watch this video and learn from it. The guys from the teams i played with yesterday could have used this video. I was in about 9 different Matches where my team lost around 10 people in less then 3 minuts its so crazy and sad! Regrettably although i can still put up a good fight i am not good enough to take on 6 to 10 players alone by myself like some of the Super unicums are.
I know everyone has their own opinion I find going in co-op mode for me at least is a way of practice for my tanks and how they perform. Great video hope to see you online 👍😁🇨🇦
Eclipse want to commit on when you said if RNG doesn't shaft you that's the kind of crap WG needs to be fixing because there's no need even playing the game if the computer won't let you penetrate.
You are so spot on! I must say i do not mind a little RNG but wargaming’s vision on this is ridiculous!! I have matches where multiple well aimed thought true shots just bounce without reason! While some games its like you are god. Few days ago i was aiming at a light tank and right after i fired my gut said i was going to miss the shot and eventhough the animation clearly was going to the side of the tank it still destroyed it crazy as hell that RNG!!
I find it fascinating in a game this old that people still don’t understand that the pen Value is the number in a range. +25% and -12.5% for console. All you can really do is put the information out there and hope new players will read it
Good job. New players you should be taught this kind of stuff. The amount of people that don't know this is staggering. Both in ww2 and cw. New players should be thaught what roles tanks fill. Heavies camping like td's, arty's rushing to the front. And other ridiculous stuff like that.
After bouncing 3 shots in a row wit my 705 A against tier 8 tanks,i deleted ewey single tank tht grinded for. 5 years,tht is complete fakin bulshit man,letd only premiums tier 7-8 and now spaming gold wit over 100 millions and thts it.
There is no way to be sure but considering what they tell us it feels like the game is not going anywhere and is here to stay. I have my doubt’s on many games but not on this one. They are even waiting on the player base to get on the current gen consoles so they can drop the previous ones and improve the game some more in my eyes you would not plan that if you are thinking of shutting down…
@@BlackhawkWoTConsole thanks for reply I've been playing world of warships for the past four years and need a change been playing wot for a few weeks now getting better but now I remember what it's like to be a noob again it sucks lol but thank you now I don't mind spending a few dollars to get a jump start
@@garettpeterson4005 you’re more then welcome! I am relatively new myself compared to most players here on youtube but i have learned allot in the year i am now playing the game and have decent stats thanks to guys like eclipse and petty on youtube. Spending some money helps but i would recommend to do good research before you spend anything. And test the different classes out to see what you like the most. Personally i like the heavy tank class the most and it is usually the most beginner friendly class aswel. Last tip i can give you is see that you are never alone on the battlefield and well as a new player its not recommended to be the first guy to find the enemy so tag allong others and stay on there side or just behind them and learn from what they do while supporting them. 🙂
@@BlackhawkWoTConsole for sure yeah I took some things from world of warships I learned over the years and kind of used that to help on tanks they aren't that different same kind of tactics I only went out on my own on warships when I got good I have a really high K/D on there hoping to get there on tanks but it took me along time to get where I was 4 to 5 kills in a battle on average these are games take awhile to get really good at like u said watching RUclips videos helps alot of people become better players thanks again bud
It’s all scripted in so many ways and after 9 years I’ve seen it all. Finally decided to uninstall, this last season was horrible so good luck to all who will soldier on.
Eclipse question I know that some tanks like Kragnvagn or IS7 have a strong turret amour but how comes Jagdpanzer E-100 HEAT rounds don't pen their turret since those don't have sharp angles like something like T-100 LT
They can be penned by the jageroo heat. Is7 you have to hit near the mantlet to pen as its far less of an angle and the kranvagn usually is using its gun depression which causes the effective angle to increase. If its flat ground and you are slightly above the kranvagn turret can be penned quite reliably.

If this game has been out for eight years is it worth getting into how long will it last ?
