Fun fact: I edited this video entirely with DaVinci Resolve on the 2018 iPad Pro, so maybe it’s still the perfect iPad. Well, ALMOST the perfect iPad.
If you want to know how it worked, I can definitely say it takes a little getting used to. Everything looks exactly the same as it is on a desktop, except the buttons are larger. Using it with a finger can be pretty imprecise, so using it with a trackpad or stylus is a much better option. If you have a proper computer with DaVinci Resolve with you, use that. But if you’re on vacation and need to edit something, this gets the job done.
That’s certainly something to consider! I considered getting one instead of my 2020 iPad Air, but ultimately went for the Air just because it was newer and would get more updates to “future-proof”. Now, I just wish I’d bought an M1 so I could have Stage Manager with external displays, then I’d happily consider it a proper desktop replacement.
@@treystechtips well the ipad is still designed like a desktop, so i wouldn’t call it a replacement, but an m1 air would be a great companion
