This organizational video reminds me of my long career as a kinder teacher.
Arrange...rearrange...organize the clutter...REPEAT
My students were always able to keep our classroom tidy, because everything was labeled, color-coded, and spaces clearly defined. We won the Golden Trashcan award from the custodial staff 🏆
I have 3 kids aged 20, 16, and 14. I remember those days where it seemed toys flooded our home and organizing and decluttering took forever. I miss those days!
There's just something about your face that works SO well with the short hair. Really gorgeous and fresh looking. You looked fine/great with the extensions but truly stand out with the short hair. It turned out great! We spent several years decorating our small home in “Modern Fisher Price.” 😊 It was just a way of life for us. Organized but more colorful plastics than I would have chosen to decorate with on my own. Now that my youngest is 18, I miss all that colorful plastic. I love your videos because they remind me of those days. 🌸

I love that the dog is perfectly content to let vacuum all around. My kiddos are grown and I miss the constant clean/messy. But my grandson LOVES to come to mama’s house. Because the mess doesn’t matter. Lol. You’re doing fine mama.

Watching from San Antonio TX. I loved how the dog didn't care if you vacuumed around him/her. My dog used to lay in front of the vacuum so I would put the brush on the hose and brush him with the vac. He was a Great Pyrenees with lots of fur. Lol. My kids are grown men now but I remember those cleaning days all to well. Keep up the great work!

When you spoke about making the toys accessible but keeping the space put together, it makes a lot of sense because when it does get used/messy everything has a place when it’s cleaned up. Even if it’s messy 90% of the time, when that 10% comes along and you want to tidy up/make the room presentable you can and things will have a home. I’m currently helping my sister and brother in law, who have a 7 month old, and not an organised bone between them haha (good thing they have an architect sister who thrives on organisation) and this is a good point that I am working with them on. ‘Who cares how messy your place is, as long as when you want to tidy it up that things have a home and it’s not a super stressful throw things in a room and deal with it later kind of moment’

Nice job! I can see your grown-up books and some green plants on the top two shelves and then the kids things on the bottom shelves. Just a thought. Even organizing the grown-up books by color can be fun and add to the "playfulness" of a playroom.

I am going to go and take nap now (I am 64 so no kids at home), I am exhausted from watching you......but it looks so good Denise. God love you. We see you holding a son while cleaning and vacuuming around a dog. LOL you have a houseful. And you look beautiful with your hair back to it’s usual way and you look gorgeous as always.
The kids will always make a mess with toys, but now you have a system for any of the grown up to put things away at the end of play. Loved Lenni hanging up the stuffed, she was a pro with the clips and hooks.

Amazing job! I love following you and seeing your growing family. I think you’ll be able to achieve and maintain your dream playroom as long as you keep the toys to a minimum. Just keep doing clean outs! I’m not sure what you have stored in the lower cabinets but you could consider putting all the kids toys in there minus a few things out on display. Then you literally can shut the door on the toy chaos 😅

I just switched our office and the playroom so that the toys would be more concealed than out in the open in the sun room! No matter how tidy I had the toys it still looked cluttered. Hopefully that video will be out soon. I love the rug in this room! Great video!

I have a 21 month old and a one month old and I completely understand what you mean about playrooms not staying clean. That’s the biggest pain for us, our cottage is small and the toys seem to multiply like rabbits over night! I think all the socks that go missing in the dryer turn into random toy bits.

I needed this motivation so bad. I need to declutter and organize my downstairs closets so bad. I moved last year and kept all my holiday decor at my moms, and now that I’m in here, I have nowhere to put it so it’s been sitting in boxes in my hallway since I took everything down a few weeks ago, it’s driving me mad but I couldn’t bring myself to start cleaning out these closets, I was dreading it till this video motivated me!

Brava! Paring down and giving everything a home is the way to go! Our two year-old can't talk, but he can put things away because everything in our house has a place. Young children have so much stuff--their toys and play involves many pieces and parts. You have to find a system that works for you--I also happen to love labeled clear bins so we can see what's inside--but putting my hands on their stuff on a regular basis has helped me cut down on toy consumption! (Thank goodness most of my boys are older and don't even play with toys! Now, our system has shifted to large flat bins of Lego, and baskets to organize chargers, ear buds, bike helmets, etc.

And my husband seems to drag every person through there. I m currently healing from a knee injury. Hopefully soon I can get my basement cleaned up. Great job! Open concept play room is always going to need constant cleaning....but, just do what you can weekly before it gets too out of control. The bookshelf looks fantastic! 👍🏻
