I'm convinced they have an algorithm designed to give the drivers they know will accept anything because of their stats
On busy,, busy nights, do you ever see an offer on UE for say $8.04 and in 2 seconds (or less) it disappears and shows back up for less. Like 7.04?
Cast Iron? Tinfoil? Whatever my tier is, I will not submit to taking bad offers. This is just one more example of them trying to pay us like contractors while controlling us like employees. The State of Massachusetts is suing these apps to reclassify them as employers specifically because of these coercion schemes. It's too bad that is necessary but it's the only way it will ever change. Taking away advance scheduling for non crap order takers may have been their final overreach as that is against the definition of contractors in my state.

I’m not taking anything that is not profitable. Driving for 40 cent per mile is ridiculous. Delivering Taco Bell to a person 7 miles from the store when there is a store a mile or two away is madness and for $3.50? I stay between 11-14% and I’m not budging. Also having to worry about which crap order is gonna be the one to lie about not getting their food that gets me deactivated every day is getting to be too stressful. I’m lucky enough to still be able to schedule some time but that won’t last forever.
@@stevewoodyt That's nothing compared to the stinkers I get with my 2-8% acceptance rate here in Vegas. How about 5 dollars for 25 miles DOUBLES. Not even counting the return trip. These people are a literal criminal organization. It would be nice to see more state Attorney-generals going after DoorTrash and UberEats for their business practices, but I understand that half of them are busy indicting Trump for felonies like tearing those DO NOT REMOVE UNDER PENALTY OF LAW tags for his couch cushions. Priorities first of course.

3:28 when it’s says leave at door and the customer is outside I take a picture with them holding the food and then send it to Uber so just in case they lie and say they never received their order they will no long be able to order food again
I take pictures of deliveries regardless of instructions or customers who protest pictures. They are the ones that will say they didn’t get their food but they will give you a low rating cause you prevent them from getting FREE food

You’re doing exactly the right thing. The tier program is BAD for the drivers.
It’s the end of food delivery apps period, we can’t cherry pick and even with a high AR on DD mine was 87% and in a day it went down into the 40’s and the next day even more. If they don’t want you getting good orders because of the surge of new people that they wanna bait in then they will destroy our AR pleasing newbies. Sad no loyalty to us at all. Their goal is to get people new over and over and keep lowering base pay to nothing and hope deliveries will be delivered by those that desperately need the money and depend on these apps. It’s sad
More often then not I am seeing (and totally agree with) Drivers not playing this game with DD.
We're contractors, so it doesn't make any sense to devalue our worth by accepting offers that don't fit our needs so they can make their big money.

Well it might stop the multi apping that included DD. There are plenty of people going their whole day not using/doing runs with DD. So their strategy sounds like it might be back-firing on them.

I’ve been doing earn by time and the reason why I start doing it is because people aren’t tipping anyway so I might as well get paid for my time. Today I was making $22 an hour with earn time and the tips. it doesn’t always work out that way, but with tipping being so crappy lately it makes sense to me to at least get paid for my time.

Made $111 today in 3.5 hrs multiapping with dd, ic, ue and gh on a Monday lunch shift.. I’ll always be a 🍒 picker.. anything else isn’t very business savvy.. cheers! 🍻
Please film the videos as you used to the videos that were around 22 minutes in length. I really enjoy listening to you walking into the restaurants picking up the orders and I feel that those videos were not too long. For those people who say that they were too long, please re-evaluate your decision Sarah. The longer videos were awesome and I feel that they should be left as they were.

My AR seems to hover around 25% give or take. I’m not taking McDonald’s to bad areas all day to get that number up. I am sure that someone else will though.
If Cherry picking offers ends without some ideal base profits for the drivers; then so will the company because all the drivers will just stop driving.
No one is going to do an order for $2.50 that's 18 miles away willingly.
Personally I don't accept an offer lower than 8 dollars anymore.

It's that or make less than $10 an hour which is absurd. 10 minute drive to store...10 minute wait... 10 minutes to customer if you're LUCKY... equals 2 orders an hour MAX. $2 to $6 offers are a COMPLETE waste of time. My stacks HAVE TO be $15 or higher because... that's an instant HOUR to complete them.
There are tons of platinum drivers out there making bank so keep declining lol

@@nutzabout3 Completely agree with you. I like stacks but I know how Doordash tries by adding shady offers that people wont accept because of no tip. So you are basically doing two offers for the price of one. So instead of accepting stack offers as they come. I let them get applied on their own if the pay is high enough.

Im sitting so long on uber and doordash in your area as well. Its so bad. Idk where to even try. Downtown tampa traffic is so bad and parking makes it not worth it. I know our back roads and complexes well now so thats why im nervous to try a diff area.
I will never take no tip orders because unlike some customers say that they will tip after the fact, I have never had an added tip from those orders!!! I only take orders that make sense to me!!

The no tippers are usually the ones that get you deactivated. While they smack on their food and calling door dash saying they didn't get anything.
They are the type of people who never give more than 4 stars on a 5 star scale "just because".
@@Thunder_Dome45 always take picture of house address or apartment complex and apt number. Take picture of business name and address or business card. Take pictures of all hand it to me and if they protest take more. Always have your camera ready

I like that you’ve switched over to the go pro and the quality is still good. It might be tough when you want your flip it for the drop offs but it will make it easier for you. I’ve been using my go pro for in car discussions and happy with what it gives me for my videos. Great work as always. 😀
Ever since the new tiers I've gotten barely any good tips. The last 3 days over half of my orders have been no tips. Before the tiers my tips where over have of my orders. F@#k the tiers.
The tier system started last week in my market. Only thing it's doing is bringing a tear to my eye. I've been doing this for 6 years and was a cherry picker for most of it. DoorDash has changed the game and at least in my market there really is a difference in the orders you get if you are Top dasher or platinum now.
I've looked into a few of the catering apps and was deterred when they wanted me to invest in their catering bags when I already have some. I encourage you to try some out and report back to us. I hold it behind my phone so it's less noticeable. I don't want to draw attention to myself by putting it on my chest or head.
No judgement- I float from around 5-15% acceptance rate. You have to factor in the amount of mileage returning to areas or back to your zone. I get several orders that take way out of my zone even if it’s only 5 miles away so mileage is more like $.50 to a dollar per mile. I’m just not accepting those.
Had to stop DD all together. My AR was around 30% when the tier system rolled out here a week ago. Finally got approved for SPARK and it looks like that will all I'll be doing from now on.
Oh don't count on that smh look at my previous comment and watch that vid. Spark is also stealing tips on a regular basis, they paid all of us extra money a month ago because of tips they took that they blamed on a glitch. If you wanna believe it's a glitch go ahead but it's definitely not it's greedy corporate and it's still happening. I'm in an area where half mill is the low end for homes and almost all orders have no tips where as 2, 3 months ago they all did. They cut the base pay daily it seems. You will have a honeymoon phase but that won't last unfortunately.
I took bad orders to get to top dasher then 2 months later they went to this tier system in my area this week and I keep dropping because of my delivery’s that keep falling off each day it stinks when I made it to top dasher it was great Order after order would come in

I'm doing DoorDash and Uber Eats for now until I get my next full time job. DoorDash in Texas will give me an order that's 30 miles away for me to waste ⛽️ and time for just $9 for my effort pay. My Jeep only takes 93 octane, so it makes me lose money if I don't deliver all night. I prefer overnight because it pays more. I'm a native Texan. Yes. We're all armed here.
You are in same position as me with your gas octane. It makes a difference on taking orders.
Everyday i dash i get 1-2 orders with a zero dollar tip but a 8 or 9 dollar doordash basepay. Why is doordash enabling no tippers? My AR hovers around 20. Protect yourself dont take bad tip orders period!

Cherry 🍒 picker for life. Only did 1 spark order yesterday but it was a Sam's for $85. Did 273 total. I'm in the brown 💩tier 😂
I went dashing for the 3rd time yesterday, and what's happening is my "dash time" is always a lot longer than "active time". I drop off at the customers house and I sometimes have a hard time finding my way back to my area from there, especially when the house is in a secluded area or when the navigation takes me on a lot of twists and turns. So when I drop of the order, sometime I pause the dash and use google map to take me back to familiar territory, then resume dash. Which wastes time. Does this happen with anyone else? or maybe I'm just not too good at navigation. Yesterday my Dash time was 4hrs. 15 min, but my active time was only 2 hrs. 35 min.

Ma’am or sir, sorry I have to ask two verification questions, what is the name on the order and how much did you tip the driver? I plan on taking video of delivery hand off as I ask these two order related questions for hand it to me deliveries. Leave at door usually has a pic of front door successfully delivered order.
I'm in California and bay area dashers are running to my zone of elk Grove to escape the tier system in the bay area but its a dumb move because eventually it'll be here too.
I started at the silver tier and I am still at silver I'm at 60% right now. I am still being sent good orders a good amount of time but I am no longer getting catering orders though but I also just started a job and almost never doing lunch shifts anymore so....most catering orders are during lunch. So for me....even the silver tier isnt bad I was expecting it to be a huge difference then getting top dasher and besides having to schedule all the time its no difference as far as the type of orders I am getting
ive had the tier program in my market for a month now and its not worth my time if i dont keep platinum status. i do get lots of catering orders and multi app so i can still do pretty good but, once you drop below 70% its crickets and no tip orders for doordash.
My area we have to be 80% on AR our rolling 30 is 150 deliveries
Justeat have been doing this for over the past year in Scotland. The acceptance rate drops below 10% and they stop sending you orders unless it’s really busy. It has absolutely ruined the job I’m ready for quitting it’s that bad. They have that many drivers they don’t care anymore 🤦♂️

Not hardly. I cherry pick every day. non tipping orders never see the inside of this vehicle. I only leave the $3 and $4 orders for top dashers

Quality is great just a tip change the lens view from fisheye to linear trust me you’ll have a better end product

I am a Dasher and I have not really seen much of the tier system in my area yet. I have watched your videos and yours about this and all seem to say it is not a good thing. Do you think that there will ever be a shortage on DD or any of these apps because of how companies are "adapting their models for better quality service"?

I just want to know why the Uber eats app SUCKS SO MUCH for drivers? I don’t understand why they flat out REFUSE to provide us with ALL THE INFORMATION UP FRONT!! Not to mention I don’t understand this TERRIBLE PAY!! I’ve only been delivering with UE for about 3 weeks, and it’s not really been a great experience. I mean I understand that I live in an area that is about 50% black which means the chances of not getting a tip are EXTREMELY HIGH. Having said that even their pay per mile is RIDICULOUS. I accidentally took an order that was 22 miles one way and Uber only paid $5.09. I mean has it always been like this?
They always trying to be slick "Lets double check the location " I know where im at. When someone picks it up..i always call to let them know. Thats on UE though.

I've adapted and receiving more cash tips for example i had a 6 mile run for 4.50 chick fil la order guy gave me a 20 dollar tip..... One combo just saying plus I've had alot of more cash tips taking more orders

Tonight i had peak pay of $5 per order which made hourly am extra $10/per hour. So guess who did hourly for 7 hours? I managed to get to bronze i think (the one thats 50% or higher) I usually hover around 10-15%. I did notice that i started getting better tips once i hit 50%. I'll only do earn by time if theres a $5 peak pay though, cause then it's $25/hr + tips

Taking an order that doesn't cover your expenses just for the sake of being busy is the road to bankruptcy.
This new tier system is designed to get drivers to accept the 💩 orders for customers that don't tip, and long miles, also the get paid hourly is for the trash orders too.
I deliver a little Cesar's pizza the other day, 3 miles 9.00 all base pay, didn't understand how? me thinking there was a tip😜
Doordash is just trying to make us employees, but they will lose many dashers because of the tier system. Many I know are going to rideshare and Uber Eats.

@@TheBeaver50 that's what they said about top dasher. cherry picking will always work as long as there is a decline button. they create these programs so drivers take more of their crappy deliveries. it's a mind game. the only number that matters is your completion rate. keep it high. if you accept it, complete it.

You should get your self a Go Pro stick. Then you can hold it away. I kind of like the camera quality better. According to DoorDash, we are the dead beat losers that cherry pick. I have heard that some people can't be able to schedule at all if your acceptance rate is so low. You should try other places. It might be better with good orders. Have you tried doing any pick up grocery delivery? Just pick up...NOT shopping. I noticed on the pick up groceries, those are actually really good.

I just moved up north from Florida where EVERYTHING is door dash, no one really uses Uber eats here. My acceptance rate was 10% when I first started and I have brought it up to somewhere near 70% now. THE NEW TIER SYSTEM IS WORTH IT. I no longer get any orders without tips and most of the time when I am dashing I am making about $16.50/hr(door dash pay) + tips. I made over $200 yesterday in 6 hours ❤ it takes some time bringing your rank back up but door dash makes it worth it in the long run!! And I used to only cherry pick my orders between both apps, mainly Uber eats though because that seemed to be what was busiest back home in tampa and easiest for me to cherry pick.
The end to cherry picking means some people wont get a timely order.

I believe that if you don’t get into one of the tears, you’re gonna get deactivated is what it probably looks like so you would be wise to go ahead and get everything up to 100 but if you’re already low, then it’s gonna be really bad for you like I cherry picked the shit out of everything and I stayed at top dasher so it’s not gonna be that hard for me to get myself up to 100. I’m not gonna have to eat much shit. It’ll be minimal shit And I’ll still have my way. I’m not gonna eat complete shit I’ll tell you that right now gonna take no tip orders just to get my AR up that ain’t happening. You can get it up without taking those orders. You just might take a while and you might have to work a lot of hours, but you will be able to do it.

TOP DASHER worked for me in my market. I was able to bump up my acceptance with garbage orders at the end of the month to continue. This new Tier System SUCKS! I'm back to Cherry Picking. Dashing for almost 4 Years now. Started after Quarantine... Oh, the good old days!
