If you deliver packages late your rating will be dinged. Returning undelivered packages without contacting driver support will result in a ding. If you can't deliver a package call driver support before moving on. Returning packages is not a bad thing but you must follow procedures and contact driver support before you proceed to your next delivery. Returning packages because you are late will get your rating dinged. Best practices is deliver all packages before the end of your block. I am not sure how your rating effect the block you get offered, I do know, "At Risk" is not a rating you want to have. It is simple show up 15 minutes early, be kind and polite to the Amazon staff, return your cart to designated area, contact customer when necessary, contact Driver Support for help, finish on time or early.
I got a violation it says didn't follow customers instructions and it states that me being fantastic doesn't matter. I have done flex 2 years no issues then this. Only thing I've done is deliver packages that require a signature to a business and sign for them since there closed. Otherwise I'd have to return like 10 packages which you get dinged for returns. Amazon needs to get with the program or I'll just stop taking blocks and do instacart.
Lol i freaked out when i had 2 packages left and my shift was about to end. But good to know it doesn’t just close out something, thank you. The warehouse was way too far to bring back one or two packages, i was not going to do that 😅
If you scan all your packages at pickup and notice that any have specific instructions to be delivered outside of the delivery window, (Say it’s to a business that closes at 5pm and your block starts at 6pm), just try to deliver them anyway. I know that sounds stupid, but don’t ask an Amazon associate to take them off. I learned this the hard way. They will hit your rating for every package you have them take off. You just have to return them to the center at the end if you can’t deliver. It sucks but better than being deactivated.
Thanks again for your help! I just did my first block today 3.5 hr block I only went over a few minutes and had to return one package because business was closed on Sunday. It would have been a MESS if I hadn't gotten everything (kinda) organized 🤣
Where I'm at if you take packages back to station because the block is over and you didn't get them all delivered it counts against you and lowers your standing and points
Great tips! I am fairly new I did my 5th block today in about two weeks. This was horrible block. 41 packages and 95% high rise apartments. It was a 3 1/2 hour block but honestly and being optimistic it took me 5 hours and I was thinking at least I can go home from here as it was about half way to my home where I was delivering. Well at the end of the route it said I had a package to return Ugh! I should have, in this case, called them and said pay me more or I am taking the rest back. That is another thing I did not mark this package as non deliverable or anything it just did not route me there and at the end said take it back. Any idea why it would do that? So was a very long block and I was so done after... Oh and tracking mileage? little notebook dn a pen is what I use. :) I do this for my ebay business also as applicable.
I did amazon Flex before in Los Angles, California, I think amazon prefer deliver all packages even thought you pass hours . I think if work at night time shift, I remember block will automatic closed around 10:30PM if your schedule end of 9:00PM. in addition , California has Prop 22 if over time it depends on amazon will pay or not it is not guantee all the time ( i think they will check details ) fews e times 3 or 4 hours schedule deliver a lot of a apartments it makes me headache that will over time ( need to walk to deliver apart door ) if you deliver apartments have locker it maybe better r and faster....
New to this but can’t seem to end on time. Following route directly, Sis all the recommended sorting processes but still feel like I’m always falling behind. Not sure what I am doing wrong. HELP!!
I was driving for the only Amazon shift I’ve done, my wife’s. She was loading the Amazon bags into the suv instead of taking the packages out of the bags. 😂
Do you think it’s worth it to sign up for Amazon flex? Are there multiple Warehouses for the Tampa area? Where is the one that you go to located. I live in Riverview and want to know if it’s worth trying.
No they don't do referrals unfortunately but you can Google Amazon Flex signup or go to the original Amazon app and scroll to the bottom to signup. Yes you have to deliver the packages
@@SaraElizabethYTsorry I had a typo in my last message. I was wondering if there is an average number of packages in each batch or is it completely random?

Ask the people at your warehouse to give you an Amazon vest. It’s free and they should have no problem giving you one. It’s for safety too

Be in and out! Hussle up on each drop off like you gotta be somewhere
At what time do they sent out the blocks? I've been approved for 1 wk and so far no blocks available no matter the time of the day I check 😢
What level are you. 1,2,3,or 4. That makes a difference. 😊
7:45 Take care the customers 📦

It's your driver's license
@@SaraElizabethYT Thank You.
You talk about using Solo and Gridwise on different videos, which one do you use or which is better?

Yes I have 7 different locations around Tampa turned on for orders. This is the Seffner warehouse.
Ok cool. About his packages do you have to deliver on each route? Do you have a referral code to apply?
No they don't do referrals unfortunately but you can Google Amazon Flex signup or go to the original Amazon app and scroll to the bottom to signup. Yes you have to deliver the packages
