I'm celebrating 60 this month. Although I loved drumming since I was a youngster, I started learning the drums only as a gift to myself for my 50th birthday. Now I play in a domestic band and enjoy every moment. I have never heard of the Lerni brand and now I must try those sticks, which captured my attention mainly because they are hand made and quality checked.
The most interesting thing is the process of processing the tip and butt of the stick. I prefer VATER over VIC FIRTH or Promark. It's my first time seeing LERNI... Japanese products are highly reliable. I'll try it. It's a healing video that seems to heal my mind and soul. -from. Korea
what's funny to me is that with all the "rolling" and "eyeballing" for warpage that they do at the factory, the drummers at the drum store will _still roll them and eyeball them for warpage.
The only other job thats more mind numbingly boring than this is the poor sod who has to check for dodgy peanuts on the peanut factory production line.
I imagine that's what we're seeing in the sections where the sticks are blurred. They probably get a different logo slapped onto them and then sold under a cheaper brand.

The amount of waste is appalling, and most of it is due to a poor production process. Looks like more than a third of the sticks are rejected, and if they would start by turning them round rather than gang-milling them they would eliminate most warpage that happened during curing. Those blanks had enough material on them to do that. Maybe when they've wasted enough wood to make the prices go up they will think of that. To let a stick make it all the way to final inspection only to scrap it adds a lot of cost to any that pass inspection, and the customer is paying for every poorly-made stick they end up rejecting.

重量のチェックってああやってるんだなぁ。昔はスティック買うときって、自分で重さの近いものを探してペアにして買ってたよね。いつの間にか２本セットで売ってる商品が増えた印象。今でもバラ売りはあるのかな？
全然今も2本組を組みかえて好きなの持って行っていいスタイルの店が多いで

요새 한국은 드럼스틱값 너무 비싸다..일본산 스틱은 첨 보지만 수입해서 가격만 맞다면 너무 좋을듯..일제라 품질은 당연히 좋아보이고..
빅 퍼스나 프로마크 위주로만 고집한다면 어쩔 수 없죠. 난 베이터가 퀄리티나 가격 모두 좋아서 선호하네요. 가성비 좋은 스틱들 많으니 시야를 넓혀보시길. '이거 아니면 싫다' 마인드라면 어쩔 수 없지만.

それな。まああの程度の扱いでは傷ついたりしないと分かっているのでしょう。加工後に反るのは仕方ないにしても、検品で半分近く弾いてるよね。
あと、機械で削ってるのにわざわざノギスで計測してるのは、加工精度もうちょっとなんとかならないのかね。
