The oratory level of Kevin aka Mr. Wonderful and his mastery of the Queen’s English are underrated. He entertains more than just making mere jokes and deals. His life lessons and financial insights are so invaluable. In short Mr.Wonderful is the reason why I watch this show .
That is honestly a great outcome, my first thought from their pitch was that if you don't have a top notch cooler the lights aren't going to make a business, but licensing the "liddup" illuminated cooler line to a manufacturer with a good reputation is potentially quick easy money.
Robert is very subtly arrogant sometimes and this is an example. He saw they were given a no equity deal and didnt want to get dumped before prom so he retracted his offer smh.
Ive also heard Robert say things like "whats 500,000$$???" When trying to get another shark to go in on a deal with him. I find him pushy and rude and stuck up. I prefer Kevin. I know he can be mean sometimes but hes HONEST and speaks his mind and RARELY takes back an offer once hes given one. Also Ive never seen Kevin pressure someone to take a deal without listening to other offers. Robert does that a lot and I hate it
Robert such a Diva, always offended when entrepreneurs wanna listen to other sharks. Kevin always stays at his deal, no matter how unique his asking is and is never offended. Even though his unique deals may seem aggressive, he doesn’t try to take advantage of the entrepreneurs. He gives there tough deals and ultimately let’s them decide. Robert absolutely sucks on this show, if I had to bet, his probably worth the least out of all these sharks.
@@intellectual5598 No, Kevin is second with 400 million. Daymond is third with 350 million. Robert is fourth with 200 million. And Lori is catching up at 150 million. When she first joined the show, she was under 100 million. Now she's at 150. She might pass Robert someday.
The ONLY logical deal was to do a Licensing deal with a bigger company who already has sales and distribution channels. This was "a No-Brainer" and everyone knew it. Think about this for a few minutes and you'll see that they were targeting Kevin for his "Licensing and Private Label" experiences (which is why he's the best "Quick-Buck Artist" out there). Namaste.
LOL the edit is hilarious on this. They are all laughing at how he just randomly thought of a 1 million dollar evaluation and then it cuts to Robert giving them a solid offer lmfao Edit : Robert takes another sip LOOOL
Nice video!! Very engaging from beginning to end. Nevertheless, businesses and investment are the easiest way to make money irrespective of which party makes it to the oval office.
I can't understand why Robert gets so defensive at the slightest. They had 2 offer and it's only fair that they talk about it before making a decision. He sometimes acts like he's so scared of losing out in negotiations so he overreacts to protect his fragile ego.
The Sharks have every conceivable advantage in these "negotiations." The most unfair tactic is the "Time limit" gambit ("I'm out... take it or leave it," when other Sharks have still not had an opportunity to make an offer), as this is provides an opening to destroy the most important business acumen ("Thinking thru an offer") that these start-ups have acquired. I must say that the current set of Sharks are genuinely very "decent" people; with heart, compassion, experience, and money. ANY hesitation from the entrepreneurs' is ALWAYS about NOT over-diluting their friends/family that may have helped them get this far (and to keep a prior promise to their older shareholders)... and not "GREED."
I actually have an idea that works way better than this, but i want to let them have a few more years on the market to scratch out a living before i come in and dominate the market
Amazing how people come up with things, out of a need for them.of course everyone in the family loves it.they would never be rude and say..WHY They take loans out and go in to extreme debt and find out , well there isn't a need 😄
There’s nothing proprietary about lights in a cooler at all, if, IF they are successful at all, Coleman, Yeti, and all the rest will start sticking lights in their coolers.
You don't understand. Concepts like these, are strictly a race to get rich. It's the first on the market, so the goal is to license it, start distributing/selling and make as much money off of these before they start getting knocked off. Even MORE Brilliant for Kevin to not take equity because he knew a company like this, wouldn't survive long (which, supposedly it didnt). You can make millions off of licensing deals.

@Rusty Dagger I guess if you want to spend over $200 on a cooler just for the led lights. That looks like their starting price on their coolers. Waste of money in my opinion, but people will buy anything.
For anyone whos wondering, Liddup is now licensed to Igloo and ORCA coolers as well as some other brands. Seems like Kevin was the right choice.

Nice analysis. Do you go to business school?
Robert is very subtly arrogant sometimes and this is an example. He saw they were given a no equity deal and didnt want to get dumped before prom so he retracted his offer smh.
All u need is your flashlight on the phone. Or buy a cheap puck light or two that can be used on any cooler!

cool thing called a flashlight
Pro tip: use both sides of the earphone/headphones
The right way to do it would've been to tell Robert they won't listen to anyone else if he goes down to 20%
Yes, no, or counter.
It’s their business and they wanted to talk about it and make the right decision. They did.
i thought i was deaf but for some reason this video has the music on the right and the voice on the left speakers
The coolest cooler came out years ago, has more features and yes led lights.

How did they get a deal? They didn’t sell anything. All they did was put lights in a cooler and make a sign that says liddup
Because it was FIRST to the market. That's why.

Why tf are the voices left sided but not the music?
Do flashlights still exist?
He is right about that one
