- Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles Rui Ranked Matches Gameplay. Rui is a master at zoning, resets and long range pressure. He does things no one else in this Demon Slayer game can. He feels top tier, but I think match ups matter so much more with Rui.

Thing that would make this game better is arcade mode and survival mode being added at some point
Glob you should do a rengoku breakdown so people can understand what you mean by his damage isn't that good
Your not using Rui to his best you got do the block move after the first combo to do a lot more damage
You should also try doing back dashes and side dashes and then trying to start your combo off a side dash when he attacks you
Why won’t you use your ultimate special?
What I enjoy when watching Globku’s online matches is that he is always very balanced and respectful in commentary acknowledging when his opponent gets one on him. Class act.

Yeah I agree. Rui definitely struggles with Zenitsu and some others but at the end of the day, it all depends on the skill. If he’s versing a brain dead spammer, then he’ll be fine imo

Rui definitely is a lot of fun to play. I'm glad Demons are in the game now cause it's made the game A LOT more fun honestly. I love the depth of each match up now!
Oh i see how he dashed through it, there’s a dashable gap between your second light string and third light string if your opponent is far enough away and because you pushed him back he could dash through yeye 👺 big brain i have(referring to 1:30 btw)

I never want to see a zenitsu main say zenitsu is bad. Played a few ranked games to practice akaza. And yeahhhh. Usually it was a two touch round.

Im getting a love hate relationship with rui at times but man does it feel rewarding with rui resets

Yeah, Akaza feels more like a high stakes kind of a character, Rui feels like the safer option, of course, no denying that Rui is amazing too.

Hi Globku, i just got into this game and i have NO idea how to use the practice tool the right way.
is there any way to like record and replay stuff to figure out how to beat it? It would be very nice if you could make a quick tutorial on that topic.
Okay can i j bring up how shinobu's poison completely negates any healing done by demons j thought that was a cool interaction between mechanics

I’d have to say the only one I’ve been struggling against as rui would have to be zenitsu, he can do so much dmg and most ppl spam his heavy and assists, it’s hella rage inducing.
It’s almost impossible to beat zenitsu as the demons.
if you wanna spend more of your skill gauge utilize dashes more.
I’m going to let you figure it out, but uptilt into an input of his TOD can make for a good combo

I played against a few rui players today and when i used hinokami tanjiro i couldn't do anything but when i switched to giyuu it was a lot easier
Actually I just had an idea for Demon Alternate Skins! What if, we gave Rui, Older Sister Spider, and some of the background members that died off-screen, as skins for him? (Kinda like Injustice 2 premium skins! That'd be dope!)
And you could do the same for Enmu, with the lower Moon Demons!
You could also give their human forms as skins.
All of this would be better than a simple alternate clothing!
That’d be nice and I want the human versions so bad! Heck, they could even make their own skins like in the Naruto storm series
@@JouganNeon Totally! The skins in Naruto UNS, alongside the fact they created movesets for cool characters that never fought, is one of the best aspect of the series.
Plus they could create exclusive human forms, for playable demons who never had their human self/past shown.

I played as rui and did one of his move where he expands spider webs around him and explodes, for ps4 it should be R2 triangle and my friend used his ultimate art and i think i timed it where i hit him with the skill but he miss his ult because i think invincibility frames and another game i had no hp and used the same move but my friend threw a armor move and i won cuz probably the invicibility frames

Rui is really good especially if the user is but akaza is easier to use.
To me is the opposite. It's so beautifull that for this game tier list and perception of the character depends so much on the player. This mean balanced roster!
No bro is easier to play rui cause he has very simple combo and a playstyle very static with a lot of pressure, akaza instead took 125% of damage and his best combos are difficult, also he has a very low range on base attacks and he need to use his demon skill to do decent damage

my rule of thumb is to never think the fight is over
There is a zenitsu glitch where you tcafp and then use air flip really fast you can dash and use a combo
From what I saw from Game Breaker God playing with Rui I can say that this character is definitely A or even A+. He is too good bro
Rui does have some damage I did find a 3.8k one from a normal attack but I think what makes him so well as a demon is his nuetral obviously and how he does not have to approach but can from everywhere
I personally prefer Akaza but he's definitely the weaker of the two. He requires a lot more thought into his moves because he uses so much meter and resources.

rui is better but also takes much more thought akaza isn’t the best but can most definitely be played in a brain dead manner especially on the worse connections as opposed to rui who’s pretty much every single move is unsafe, not that he can’t be played to be safe but will take much more knowledge and execution than oonga boonga tilt assist akaza

Rui is in a weird place in my opinion. Alot of his moves are unsafe without meter and his damage is really bad but he counters a lot of the top-tiers like rengoku, water tanjiro and nezuko. He is ment to be a zoner/defensive character so if the other person is also being defensive rui can struggle to open people up safely. He's mid.
Rui is the best zoner in the game IMO
But he is among the slowest fighters

His most damaging combo is simply LL Y YF YFG
MAkumo higher than him? She needs to expend all 5 bars just to so hafl the damage Rengoku can do with only 3 bars. Makumo’s tracking is also still poor.
There is a reason Rengoku is ran a lot in ranked

There’s a lot of changes I’d love to see done in this game but is more than likely gonna happen in a completely new one. I just don’t have that kind of faith in CC2.

My cousin is playing zenitsu and every time I engage he pushes me back with block and does air spin and I keep falling for it

I've gotten so much rage and disconnects from me playing Rui it's pretty funny. Honestly after fighting a really good rui i can see why, but still. People really be disconnecting the last 5 seconds of a match lol
rui is solid, akaza is wack
I think that they don't justify giving up on tag mechanics, but Rui at least have some strong tools to make up for it
I think that the demons should get buffed though, picking up a demon is essentially you gimping yourself right now

I like Akaza more ngl. Akaza feels a little tougher to use, because of the meter management and the damage he takes and the challenge of that is sweaty, but ngl, it is a thrill.
Nevertheless, Rui is the more safer option if you wanna play as a demon ngl, cos Akaza can crumble with just one misstep.
Akaza needs a buff, defensively and offensively (i know I'm talking biased cos well Akaza is my favorite demon :p but hey :p)
And I hope they patch him. Like he needs it, and given it is CC2, hope they don't turn a blind eye to this
I think akaza needs a lot more damage because a glass Cannon is a really cool idea in demon slayer
@@magellan6439 Yeah definitely. More damage and pressure would definitely work as a buff tbh to compensate for the lack of heath, because you can definitely win with Akaza, even though he is heavily gauge dependent.

Bro I literally CAN NOT play because of my game lag. I don't have bad connection, 900+ download speed ethernet on pc and I still lag. Solutions?
Lots people think akaza is to weak but honestly he hands down got some of the best and useful move, amazing mix up
But the amount of damage he take is a whole different story 🤷🏽♂️
His skill gap is higher than Rui but imo Rui is a better overall fighter

This that a player is a good Rangoku player is like playing DBFZ and saying there's a good UI player: it may be true, but the character is still broken by himself.

Rengoku isn’t that strong * touches him and takes 75% of health * still not that bad * touches him in next match and wipes his whole health bar without being touched 😭
It's too easy to just run away. This game needs a serious balance update if it's ever gonna be competitive.
Speaking of zoner characters, I fought a really annoying Akaza today who just spammed projectile and tilt demon skill. I had no idea what to do against that considering his tilt skill is unpublishable
I just block but to be fair it was a blue shield
Also that projectile skill is actually avoidable by itself. Just run left or right and boom he can’t hit you. Also use the assist when he spams it! It attacks him leaving him stunned
yeah i did too :| it was annoying but i found out if you just block long enough and let them waste their demon gauge you can punish them for it.

This game looks so good but the only thing holding me back is the 30 fps for online matches. I want to play but for $60 i dont want to be locked to 30 fps in versus where I intend to spend most of my time
can someone explain what exactly is a "reset" i am pretty new to this competitive thing and i dont get what its significance or what it is
Instead of finishing a combo for more damage, you stop it midway and reset into a new one or grab

I tried out Rui in practice mode and he seems neat but I don’t really get the appeal, none of his moves really are cool looking or seem fun to use and that’s what I look for most in the characters I play

Idk why but inosuke is good against giyu and akaza for me it just seems I have an easier time using inosuke against them

Giyu and rui is a good match up for rui here let me explain. Giyu has a special skill it’s a party and if you parry an attack you get a free blue combo but for rui even if giyu does it it doesn’t work because rui is too far away meaning rui gets a free combo
Happened to me today in a few matches while playing Rui
I generally play Nezuko and the online Ruis I meet don’t give me as much trouble as the Akazas. But that could just be a play style thing.
a lot of characters have their counters. i find giyu to be very punishable with hinokami tanjiro and zenitsu punishable with shinobu
Becuase nobody plays rui everybody plays akasa since they wanted to main him

Honestly this might be an unpopular opinion but I prefer Akaza, he just has better combos and I feel more loose with him
I actually feel like akaza can beat rui but you have to play really lame in order to do so
With Akaza you just have to wait mid distance that Rui throws any projectile and you go through with the assist 2 punch and start combo. Tjen you wait for your assist to come back and do it again, Rui can't zone you cause you go through projectiles. I don't like to play against Akaza with Rui cause you can only start "playing Rui" when Akaza has no assist bar left 😅 it's possible to win but really hard.

You need at least like 2 resets to even reach the damage everyone else does in one combo. Like no matter how much your winning a match it's possible to just throw it away.
Giyu match ups for me have never been hard. But I never get hit by dead calm. Im just good at always stopping my attacks and watching a Giyu player dead calm in silence 😂
Shinobu/Zenitsu you'll never catch those assholes jumping in the air and you need the health lead or your just screwed chasing...
