I love Laurel and Hardy and in my view they are the funniest comedians in history. It might be worth researching those tiles to see if they really were Stan's! They look like they're from the right era!
Hi Belinda, after closer inspection they were reproductions, it was a nice thought at the time haha, thanks and yes, definitely the funniest duo comedians in history 😊😊❤️❤️
Laurel and Hardy come from a time where actors had to act, even as comedians. I loved watching them as a child, and they are still quite funny compared to most of the drivel we have now! I bet they would not think that people in 2023 would even still remember them, let alone enjoy watching them still. I can see where a ski lift would come in handy for the trip to the lighthouse, what a view! When I still rode the school bus, I had to walk our half-mile drive which looks steeper than your walk. Once I was old enough, I rode a motorcycle to the bottom just to avoid the walk back up the hill! It never seems to fail showing up to a place only to find that it's open tomorrow. It's a great idea to raise the flag when it's open, they could have posted a sign telling people somewhere near the bottom though. The tiles at the end are a great bonus for your trip. Always a pleasure watching the two of you, thanks for the trip! Even my legs are tired now.😁❤
Haha not half as tired as mine were Derek 😂 Thank you so much, So glad to hear you enjoyed coming along on our trip and yes, Laure & Hardy we’re classics of their time and still remain today to be one of the best comedian duets 😊😊❤️❤️
I loved watching L&H with grandad and nanna was never impressed with us laughing 😆 She used to say they were Daft!! Thanks for the mention bro ☺️💙.. and well done with the climb the pair of you 🩷💙 Great video xx
Aww I’m so glad you enjoyed Sis, was thinking of you all the time we was there. Can’t wait to send you your Christmas card 😂 yes, Nanna could be very serious at times, I used to be scared of having a banana butty because she made an announcement all the way through me eating it how she couldn’t stand the smell 😂😂 xx
A cracking video with a long climb. We was breathing hard just watching you climb to the top of that hill,,Phew! The museum was brilliant and well worth a visit. Thanks for the fun and the free tiles was a right touch. Best wishes you two …. From us two ….⭐️👍😄
Haha thanks Mark n Julie, yes, the climb kind of did take my breath away a little, it was so hard to climb and talk at the same time haha. Thanks guys, Next time you come up this way we will have to meet up at the Beamish Museum 😊😊❤️❤️
Such a nice tour in commemoration of Laurel and Hardy. I watched them when I was much younger. After Laurel and Hardy I would watch Abbot and Castello, then the 3 stoogies.
Hi Peggy, yeah someone else just mentioned about the three stooges in a comment, I think that was something that past us by over here, same with A&C might have to look the up. We did also watch Harold Lloyd, not sure if you’ve heard of him. Thanks for joining us on our little tour 😊😊❤️❤️
Thank you so much for joining us Pam, so glad to hear this brought back some memories for you. We remember the rainy days, hot soup and Laurel and Hardy on the tv when we were kids. Good Times! 😊😊❤️❤️
Well that’s another fine “trip” you’ve gotten us into. I so look forward to these videos. Love you two. It’s always a pleasure watching you both. I smiled through the entire video. Kudos to Rob for making it to the 🔝 I don’t believe I could have done it.
Ohhhh I like what you did there Kim 😂 another fine trip you got us into 😂 brilliant! So glad to hear you had a smile on your face watching this, I had pain on mine tackling that hill 😂 Thanks you so much for coming along on our little trip 😊😊❤️❤️
What a great video. Have seen a few Laurel and Hardy episodes. Steve and I grew up watching The Three Stooges reruns and still watch them every Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. We have no life 😂 I am with you, Collette! I would have been sitting on that bench with you😅 As a child, we would visit my father’s family and had to drive through the Blue Ridge mountains and I stayed on the floorboard of the car until we were through them!! Loved the scenery shots, Rob ❤ Collette was so happy to get those “Stan” tiles 🎉
Hi Kathy, Three Stooges I don’t think was televised as much here or we just never saw them. We have no life either as soon as Columbo comes on, seen them that many times we can lipsink the full series 😂 loved Laurel & Hardy growing up, Harold Lloyd too. Can’t be the classics as they say. So glad you enjoyed this one Kathy, thank you so much 😊😊❤️❤️
When I was a around 10 years old I used to watch Laurel and Hardy with my mom. I remember how much my mom laughed at the show. I can’t remember the film name, but it was funny. I truly liked the museum so much memorabilia. Thanks for the video it was fun. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
I do love the larks you have been going on as of late. You are taking us here in the States places we would never see! I enjoy them so much, but i do have to admit my legs were burning for you as you climbed up to the light house. Keep up these wonderful videos! See you next Friday!
My legs were definitely burning for me too 😂 So happy to hear you are enjoying these new places we are venturing out too. Thank you so much Debbie 😊😊❤️❤️
My dad loved L & H so this was interesting to watch and learn more about L. Collette looked very nice in her white sweater. Looks so cozy for the fall. That hike to the tower reminded me of when we climbed Mt Vesuvius…. The difference between up and down was very dizzying! I completely understand why you waited on the bench. I would have too!
I am so afraid of hights that I want to crawl like a baby but I can't do that I claimed a path up in the Smokey Mountains to a waterfall I was to exhausted to make it to the landing neer the falls I would sit and rest the river was next to me on one side and high bluffs on the others ,❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍
