    EZDrummer should hire you full time to make tutorials for them -- this series was excellent. I really appreciate how you took the time to go through every aspect of the program. I now feel like I have a solid understanding of the program. I also applied some of the stylistic advice given throughout and saw IMMEDIATE improvements in the quality of my drum tracks. Overall, the information was easy to consume and actionable. Thank you for this!!!

    Enjoy the no-nonsense get down to it style. I don't have time to putz around waiting for useful information. I am brand new to EZ drummer, and I wish I would have had this tool 40 years ago. I think a paid $1,000 for an Oberheim drum machine in the early 80s and it was pretty archaic, but it was what we had if you didn't live with a drummer. Of course I also wish I had today's keyboards back when the Prophet 5 was state of the art. For those of yo who don't know what that was, look it up!

    The chapter on “My song structure story” hit home - your experience of not appreciating the importance of structure at first, and then eventually learning how critical it actually is to an enjoyable song lines up with where I am at right now in my songwriting journey. That is one thing I am looking forward to leveling up with the help of EZ Drummer 3 arrangements tool. Excellent series, thank you for making and sharing this! (It even made me think of the structure of this comment 😅).

    Big thanks for making this little series and for sharing tips and personal story on a song structure subject! This will be a tremendous help in my future work. I just wanted to suggest that if someone has a problem with finding custom arrangement folder, perhaps sharing an entire EZDrummer project file with a little side note that says "Make sure to save this track as an arrangement!" could be a good alternative until Toontrack gives us an option to share them more comfortably :D Just a little idea. Thanks again for the great content and rock on :)

I am now dealing with exporting/converting some of the Ezdrummer tracks in my DAW in mono. I mean by that kick, snare, hi-hat… which only are output in stereo in the ez drummer mixer. Fun time 🙂

      @@ShootieSchool You're welcome. I paid for the Groove3 all access pass because I needed help figuring out how to use the Izotope plugins and, while I was there, I checked out the EZD, EZB, & EZD, which are all done by Eli Krantzberg who does a good job of explaining what each feature is, but the practical, workflow context that you provide is missing. OTOH, Luke Oswald who does the SD3 videos is an ass-kicker! Those are well worth watching. There's so many people who make videos that purport to be instructional and that I have to run at 1.25 because they talk soooooo slow and then I'm using the arrow left button all the time to go past their BS small talk... I thought I'd have to do the same with these 3 vids... Ooops - lets shut that speed back down to 1 (even went to 0.75 in a couple of places) and let's leave that arrow left button alone... EXCELLENT set of tutorials - thank you and keep it up.

    Wow! Is this ever have a great video with lots of information. Man, impressive! The only thing I find is that I don't see a User Arrangements file in the location you list on the video. However, I figured out how to create it and put the four examples you graciously passed on to us. Thank you! Is creating your own User Arrangements folder possible in SD3 as well?

    • @ShootieSchool
      @ShootieSchool  2 года назад +1

      Thank you, Ron. I haven't investigated SD3 on this yet, but the files are certainly not in the same directory.
      Do post your path to your User Arrangements if you have the time, I'm curious.

    • @boogybass
      @boogybass 2 года назад

      @@ShootieSchool I agree I can't find the same directory for SD3. Here's the path I took, however, fortunately, I just didn't create a User Arrangement folder, it was done first by adding in a groove, going to Song Creator on the right, and then selecting Song Creator on the left drop down, and that's when I was able to create new arrangements. It's in the location, like you put in the video, at: C:\Users\Ron\AppData\Roaming\Toontrack\EZdrummer 3\UserArrangements.

      @ShootieSchool  2 года назад +1

      @@boogybass You know what, I forgot to mention that!!!!. My path is right, but the folder doesn't exist until you make your first User Arrangement. It's so hard to remember it all!!! ahhhh! Thanks for this, I'll at least put a note up. Cheers.

    Hi there !
    You videos are awesome and really helpful. I just got Alesis Surge and Easy Drummer 3. It's super cool stuff to play and practice. I tried to use it with my students during online lessons, but it didn't work ....
    Did you have some issues like this?
    Is it possible to use this software with teaching ?
    Thank you.

      That's a complex conversation. I achieve this with 2 computers, 2 audio interfaces and a free program called OBS. There's a lot of details. If you want to list the gear at your disposal I could try and entertain the conversation.

      Love your intro/outro riff. Great job on structure in general. It seems you have no prechorus which is totally acceptable. You doubled your last chorus. Good work! When you start thinking about mixing, your snare and guitars occupy the same frequencies so your snare is getting buried. Simply make a dip in the guitars EQ to allow that snare to pass through. I think I would have bobbed my head more if that snare was clear as day guiding me. Fun stuff, keep it up!
