Wait, Mirage is an expansion for Valhalla? I didn't have high hopes already because that 100+ hour story with more filler then naruto in Valhalla broke my hope for the franchise, but they can't even bother to use a different engine or even a new gameplay system for a game that's marketed to be different? Jesus, expansions turned full projects already turn out bad enough (cough cough SR4) but ubi doing it? That's gonna be a shitshow. Well at least SR4 had personality and was fun, but ubis gonna make Odyssey and Valhalla look like it should be up there with 2 when this new one comes round. And I guarantee that Infinity is gonna be ubis version of skylanders, you'll have to buy the game, then pay extra for the actual content, that's just gonna be a stretched out RPG expansion, if we're lucky. Very exciting, though there was another just dance game & no ubisoft quartz. I looked it up & there's a reason, they dialed back on their NFT push & claimed it's in 'research mode'. Not kidding. In other words, ubisoft finally realized that everyone hates NFTs.
I decided that Valhalla was the final disappointment for me from this company... I had fun with Origins, and Odyssey was nice when i just wanted to run around doing whatever, but Valhalla was just so boring, that even as the biggest fanboy of the franchise at that point, i only ever managed to fight my way through a SINGLE playthrough! And i never wanna do it again, as the "story" is somehow so uninteresting, that i can't even remember it anymore... Eivor just felt like they were always 100% not interested in anything that was going on, and not a single character name stuck with me besides the main character, and that's only because it's repeated a million times...
There was one memorabal scene in Valhalla and it was 20 hours in for me. After playing for 200+ I was only 78% done and went "I just wasted my life" I loved AC all the way through Syndicate because they were around 20+ on story and 15 for side content. A good amount.

I have no problems with insanely long games, with Persona 5 Royal being one of my favorite games of all time. But unlike Valhalla, it feels like it has a destinct beginning and end in sight from the very start, and the world, combat and characters are fun and destinct enough that it only took me one playthrough to remember every single character and what they do in terms of mechanics! Valhalla faulters in the way that it already felt like it was the 4th movie in a series i hadn't watched in years... So i always felt like i hadn't been given a real beginning, and at no point did i feel like i knew where the game was going with its plot, as i had already given up on the real world segments not going anywhere after abandoning the Juno story to be solved in a damn comic!

These game corporations have become too big to fail that as long as they appropriately market their game to the far corners of the world they can get away with making effin mid games, because their releases dominate the media where it seems like their games are the only ones you can buy and thus newcomers come to accept mid games as the standard of what is acceptable.
I was semi hyped for AC mirage until i read IN THIS VIDEO that the game was going to use fighting mechanics similar to origins, odyssey, and fucking valhalla, but that it would "have distinctive elements".
The only thing that has a lot of positive feedback from this trash heap is the new AC Mirage. But even then I would rather hold my horse until I see what kind of tripe they will put in this game. If my worries come true, I would have to sail the seven seas again.

When I Far Cry 5 came out I bought it and remember it was a let down. Not out right terrible but really not as I hoped at all. So like a fool I bought Far Cry 6 and it was a boring sloggy snooze fest, it took me a while to learn my lesson but learn it I did and I am done buying Ubisoft products. I'm just glad I never played any ass creed past ass creed 1.
