Surgeon here. Knowledge and the upmost preparation can reduce the amount of repetitions needed, and conversely, there are surgeons who are high volume but may still do a shoddy job.

I am just a regular general physician and It always had amazed me how the hell these people can do their job. Surgeons are the kings of medicine in my opinion.

I’m a consultant surgeon and my wife is a general practitioner. Her job is so much harder than mine, what she has to do with limited investigations and time is astounding……I’ve not a whole team and hospital at my disposal, unlike my dear wife 😳

Hopefully god is keeping track of when to call in the experts when I need surgery or perhaps my deeds don’t deserve that honor and my body will be used to learn on so my nieces and nephews may have experts in their operating rooms.

i don't believe in the 10,000 hours rule its more so consistency then just hours.

Well I would assume that’s what most people would think would constitute at being good at something. Hours come from the consistency.
