So, KD and Kyrie running the front office (allegedly) is a big red flag, while LeBron as the shadow GM is not an issue. When you hear abt Lakers issue, all they talk is Westbrook. Nobody pose this question the decision of bringing Westbrook and AD in exchange of Lakers present and future. Ofcourse they won a tittle but that doesnt mean the approach was correct. I feel like Kyrie is a scapegoat here, ofcourse he has his issues, but as Perk said, things are sometimes blown out of proportion.

  • @scoutwithoutclout

Real talk by Perk. As for the Nets, I wouldn't panic yet. Historically, big trade assets like this typically get a lot back in return. truth is if Nets trade Durant & Kyrie in the same offseason, they'll get back a ton of players & picks. might even end up in a better situation when it's all said and done. can't "blame" Marks either. how's he supposed to predict covid? had dude not been prevented from playing, then they would've been a good team. it was just a bad break. I respect the ambition though. he took a shot, and outside forces affected it. see what he can get back in return now.

Sad day for the nets but not unexpected. This is now twice that they tried to swing from a borderline playoff team to championship. First was the Paul Pierce and KG trades and now the KD and Kyrie trades. If you are lucky and I mean very lucky you can get one chip with this formula but you will not build long term success this way.

The Brooklyn Nets chose this path of their destiny when they threw away all the young talent and culture they had from 2017 and prior. I don't have any sympathy for the top stars, the coaching staff, management, and ownership. I believe the ownership is and was at fault and they should take the brunt of any damages caused by this fiasco. People just do not realize that Mikhail Prokhorov, who was the former owner of the Nets was always incompetent in managing the team and he only wanted to make some money then get out. The new ownership from 2019 to now are not as competent either, but at least they get a chance to start over clean without the baggage from Kyrie Irving and others before the end of 2023. Brooklyn has a chance to start fresh in 2023.
