- Welcome back to Virginia City, Nevada! Home of a NEW Ghost Town, right inside of one of the wackiest, if not THE wildest gift shop in the old west! Come along and see how Disneyland and other theme parks SHOULD be doing their gift shops, themed to the 9s! Then come along for a ride out of historic Virginia City to Dayton, and then one of the other weirdest shops in the world (of another kind) just outside Sparks, NV, Scheels! Then over the mountains and... well, you'll see!

It's because of Justin and others that I invest in family road trips and the support of roadside attractions. We happened to be visiting Virgina City on this very day and got to cross paths with Justin & Ally. It was a truly epic adventure👍

The Comstock silver lode was discovered by accident. They were mining for gold and this sludge kept clogging their equipment. Someone got the bright idea to have the sludge assayed. Turned out they were throwing away a fortune in silver ore while mining for gold!

Scheels looks exactly like Cabela's, the biggest outdoors store I had ever been to. Well at least the Cabela's that's located in the DFW area. Great video, per the usual! Thanks.
Great video. I used to walk past Sierra Mountain Inn / Sierra Mountain Motel everyday when I went to school at Lyman Gilmore.

Rewatched the ghost town again just now n to have accomplished all the varied facets of an entire western town in such a small area was nothing short of "Fantasmogorical"!!!! When you comment in the beginning of the haunt that Mr. Shoaf n his friends created n built that entire awesome n eclectic ghost town in only 9 months n that spooky voice after you asked the question " What was it built in 9 months""? N the voice very gruffly says "Yeah"" it very spooky!!! Attaboy again, Justin Scarred n Allie n Shoaf n associates!!!

Just rewatched this fabulous video n I totally enjoyed the western town built by hand by the owner n his friends!!! They did an awesome job, totally!!! It being inside his souvenir shop makes it so cozy cool n personal n I am gonna rewind that part and watch it again it was sooo wonderful!!! Attaboys all around to Justin n Allie n Brian Shoaf!!! Great store as well. I hope I can get there someday!!!

“Zephyr Cove Boardwalk”?
I guess that Mark Twain machine must’ve been brought over from Lake Tahoe. Zephry Cove is the name of one of the towns on the Nevada side. A friend of a family friend had a condo in nearby Incline Village that my family would use from time to time. My mother in particular borrowed it a lot when she was going back to school to get her teaching license at Sierra Nevada College.
Those were some really cool places.

Nice tour Justin! I've lived in Vegas for three years and I haven't explored much of Nevada yet. Looks like I'll have to take a trip up to Virginia City!

I've seen that exact rock sales display in numerous gift shops, especially out west. I wonder what that is about? Another great vid.

That shop is totally cool!
That old bar in Dayton was used in the film "The Misfits" with Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, Mongomery Clift and Eli Wallach. Also filmed in Reno and surrounding area.
It was Monroe and Gable's last film.

DID YOU KNOW , That there in Grass Valley is the Nevada County Fairgrounds . They have been Voted the Most BEAUTIFUL FAIRGROUNDS in all of the USA 3 Times . I use to do the Sound for it before COVID-19 Canceled all 58 County Fairs in California . I miss doing sound for the Fairs and the Great People we get to work with and Meet . People Like you and Alley ... You Need to come up to the Shasta county area and visit the THREE SHASTA's . Maybe rent a houseboat on Lake Shasta for a week . For your Honey Moon Maybe ? You can go on a LOVE CRUISE ... LOL.. LOL... You two kids have fun and stay safe . God Bless ..

Here in Texas and in other states. We have Bass pro shop and Cabelas sports and outdoors stores. Simular to your sporting goods store out west there. 🤓😎🎳🤪😜😷🎺
