I remember as a child, my first ultraman series was ultraman cosmos and I was addicted to it, I had t-shirts and ultraman cosmos toys. Ultraman zero was the last series I've got to watch and I didn't regret my decisions as a child.
I love Mebius because of the cool story arc and because the show pays homage to all the Ultramen who came before him. A perfect 40th anniversary tribute. 👍
Same. It had good balance for characters all round, my favorite 'modern' Ultraman show. Everything else after that bombed for me. Trigger I want to like but they tried too hard to do everything all at once and it was cringe for me to some extent. Decker is the closest to Mebius actually as a show with good balance.

Also Moebius was very unexperienced, so it was a like a reboot. Sadly after that, all the "card, belts, guns, toys" Ultramen became kind of a Joke... I mean Ok, Ultraseven had some Capsules , pocket Mosnters, but not a DECK of cards o mini figures to mash up stuff...Gross...They went the heavy kamen Rider route and Boy, does it shows...

Since when did ultraman turn into kamen rider series? And what's with the over-the-top armor/weapon/transform they used? I think the last that really kind of sticks to ultraman theme was mebius. After that, all are toys-like ultraman.
I read somewhere the reason they got so merchandise-heavy during the 2010’s was because Tsuburaya was actually bleeding money during their lawsuit against that Thai company that tried to steal the Ultraman IP. So they blatantly had toys during this time to recoup their losses After the lawsuit was settled in their favor, I believe they dialed down somewhat on the toys & merchandise aspect. Even made the push for Ultraman in the West through comics and making Ultraman episodes available on RUclips

I only watched tiga, dyna & gaia back when I was a kid. Never knew the franchise kept going 😂 I was so shocked when I saw the Netflix series, cause it was more gundam than the ultraman I knew.
Love the older Ultraman series, the newer ones are more for show casing the toy line. The actors are actually using the real toy line to transform 😂 looks odd to me. Love the Netflix series, love how it connected to the past ❤
I always loved tiga since his show's designs and everything felt so biker like, from the uniforms of the TPC to the vehicles, plus tiga's sky type is purple and you don't see that at all with it typically blue for many mircle/speed type transformations
So much nostolgia, grew up with ultraman tiga, gaia, dyna, mebius, cosmos, justice and zero. I even bought all their movies too, good ol days. For me my favourite one is ultaman max, i even buy all their toys and play wi them when i was a kid

In my country, ultra series get broadcast with barely any long gap between series which mean I somehow saw Tiga, Dyna, Gaia, Cosmos, and Mebius during my childhood (Max and Nexus got broadcast in different channel if I'm not mistaken). Growing up, my fav ultra is definitely both Mebius and Tiga. The Superior Ultra 8 Brother movie really make my dream come true since both Mirai and Daigo actually met each other. Not just that, both TDG and Ultra Brother actually work together! Definitely one of the greatest ultra movie in the franchise.

I watched every ultraman, but i must say after ultraman zero, it just turned into kamen rider 2.0. The movie doesnt have lores anymore, it definitely changed their aim of age to younger kids.

Why are y’all complaining about them selling toys? I’m pretty sure no one here would want to see a shitty Ultraman show with bad effects and various stuff looking horribly off. Just because they’re using the current shows to sell toys doesn’t mean that an Ultraman show is automatically bad. Stop using the toy-selling as an excuse to say the shows are bad, and instead, talk about the actual plots of the shows instead.
So does time stops for the Ultras from Orb onwards when they transform? Thats the only explanation I can come up with for how they are not interrupted at all during their LOOOOOONG transformation sequences 😂
I think that's the case fot most ultras. Z at least established that he and Haruki would enter a pocket dimension when they transform, where IIRC 1 minute in that dimension equals to 1 second in real world. so in reality their transformation would take only 1 second, if not less (they even showed this whenever he changed form while fighting without us looking at the process inside the pocket dimension, Z would just shine for like 1 second then he's in other form already)
Yes.. they all enter Inner Space which is how the transformation doesn't take so long in real time. You can even see Geed in some ep immediately pressing the Geed Riser button and transform.
Damn, I'm super disappointed to see that the newer Ultramans have such unnecessarily glorified henshin process. Makes everything looks so gimmicky. Wish they stuck to how it used to be-raise the beta capsule and that's it.
I started with Cosmos and Grew up to love it even more cause Cosmos is as a Pacifist. But now, my Absolute Favourite Ultra is Actually the Original Ultraman lol.
Nexus and The Next are technically Noa devolved form.. but the reason why The Next have separate part is because his Henshin are made of willpower instead of evoltruster..

At least Tsuburaya doesn't pull that stupid design that Toei made in their Sentai and Rider series. My eyes are burning with the ridiculousness of it. They (Toei) should pull out some forms (Like majority) because that ruined everything. The only design I hate from Tsuburaya are Noa and X Beta Spark Armour.

I only watched tiga, dyna & gaia back when I was a kid. Never knew the franchise kept going 😂 I was so shocked when I saw the Netflix series, cause it was more gundam than the ultraman I knew.

I always loved tiga since his show's designs and everything felt so biker like, from the uniforms of the TPC to the vehicles, plus tiga's sky type is purple and you don't see that at all with it typically blue for many mircle/speed type transformations
Me rewatching Tiga after mistakenly think that his color is blue instead of purple: Wait, so it's always been purple!?

So much nostolgia, grew up with ultraman tiga, gaia, dyna, mebius, cosmos, justice and zero. I even bought all their movies too, good ol days. For me my favourite one is ultaman max, i even buy all their toys and play wi them when i was a kid

@@daammaar That's also cool! In my country, ultra series get broadcast with barely any long gap between series which mean I somehow saw Tiga, Dyna, Gaia, Cosmos, and Mebius during my childhood (Max and Nexus got broadcast in different channel if I'm not mistaken).
Growing up, my fav ultra is definitely both Mebius and Tiga. The Superior Ultra 8 Brother movie really make my dream come true since both Mirai and Daigo actually met each other. Not just that, both TDG and Ultra Brother actually work together! Definitely one of the greatest ultra movie in the franchise.

Showa era transformation: Simple & effective
Early Heisei era transformation: A little flashy but still looks cool
Mid Heisei era transformation: Over the top flashy CGI + toy commercials
Late Heisei & Reiwa era transformation: Omfg they went full Kamen Rider now
If they don't sell toys don't even think they can survive bankrupt and compete with kamen Rider bruh

I watched every ultraman, but i must say after ultraman zero, it just turned into kamen rider 2.0. The movie doesnt have lores anymore, it definitely changed their aim of age to younger kids.

Why are y’all complaining about them selling toys? I’m pretty sure no one here would want to see a shitty Ultraman show with bad effects and various stuff looking horribly off. Just because they’re using the current shows to sell toys doesn’t mean that an Ultraman show is automatically bad. Stop using the toy-selling as an excuse to say the shows are bad, and instead, talk about the actual plots of the shows instead.

I think that's the case fot most ultras.
Z at least established that he and Haruki would enter a pocket dimension when they transform, where IIRC 1 minute in that dimension equals to 1 second in real world. so in reality their transformation would take only 1 second, if not less (they even showed this whenever he changed form while fighting without us looking at the process inside the pocket dimension, Z would just shine for like 1 second then he's in other form already)

Yes.. they all enter Inner Space which is how the transformation doesn't take so long in real time. You can even see Geed in some ep immediately pressing the Geed Riser button and transform.
Damn, I'm super disappointed to see that the newer Ultramans have such unnecessarily glorified henshin process. Makes everything looks so gimmicky. Wish they stuck to how it used to be-raise the beta capsule and that's it.

At least Tsuburaya doesn't pull that stupid design that Toei made in their Sentai and Rider series. My eyes are burning with the ridiculousness of it. They (Toei) should pull out some forms (Like majority) because that ruined everything. The only design I hate from Tsuburaya are Noa and X Beta Spark Armour.
