Kind of a classic mistake a lot of reactors end up making. She overperforms her reactions to the point it becomes really fake. Gives off the vibe that she watched the movie once, then performed a reaction for the camera.
The glasses thing isn't that unrealistic, Henry Cavill wore a Superman shirt underneath the poster for Batman VS Superman in New York and not a single person recognized him, and that's without glasses. Also, Damian got the dog in Teen Titans Judas Contract, remember the end when Raven gave Damien a puppy, that puppy grew into this huge dog.

Doomsday's power besides strength and invulnerability is his power to evolve rapidly. That's why his bones grew and he was able to use heat vision. Every time he dies he comes back, and whatever killed him won't be able to kill him again. In the comics he was created on a primitive Krypton by a scientist who cloned a baby over and over and left it in the wilderness every night to die until the clone evolved enough to survive and became Doomsday.

As far as I know or remember anyway Doomsday eventually reaches the point where in order to finally end him Superman drags him to the end of time.
That's how he was able to hit The Flash.
The lens in his glasses are made out of the same material as his ship. They make him look different to those that look at him with them on.

It's also a psychological thing. If you think superman would never be a journalist, you'd never see superman when he actually is one.
What? I've never heard of that before. I know his glasses are made of his ship so it doesnt break or melt when he uses his heat vision. I've also read that Superman uses a "hypnosis beam" that he focuses through his glasses to make people see him differently, I'm pretty sure that was retconed though...but I've never heard of the glasses itself causing people to see him differently
@@ItzMeWill There have been numerous explanations including that without the glasses Clark's eyes look too supernatural they shine of a blue no human can match but the glasses dull them.
Or maybe it's just a dumb comic book trope that you just have to accept.

What make doomsday so dangerous is that his ability to adapt is insane, dude is pretty much immortal because he can't die the same way as he did before you have to find new ways to kill him, and the longer he fights the stronger he gets because of his ability to adapt he can learn from his opponents, in a sense he is the greatest threat there is

In my personal opinion, The Death of Superman is by far one of the best DC Animated Movie Universe films they made. Even better some of the solo Batman films in the series. Sadly I won't watch any of your Young Justice Patreon reactions because I don't have Patreon.

what's amazing is they remain VERY faitful to the original story despite changing a few things to keep it in this animated continuity, and the changes don't hurt it at all.
One of the absolute best of the New 52 animated universe and just a great Superman movie
Love how the VA for Supes and Lois are IRL husband and wife - imo you can really notice their chemistry
The reason for ths movie being not as action packed as you might have thought it would be is because this movie is supposed to be just the first part of a two part movie event. The second part is The Reign of Supermen which is the next movie.
PLus even in the original comic as with this film the fight with doomsday is only PART of the story. THe real meat of the story is exploring how important Superman is to everyone: his friends, his enemies, random people on the street, what his presence measn to the city of metropolis and the world at large...and then showing what happens when he's gone, what effect the void he leaves behind has on everyone.

Fun fact, this film is the beginning of Rebecca Romijn (Mystique in X-Men 1-3) voicing Lois Lane. Her real-life husband, Jerry O’Connell, is also Superman’s VA here as well.
the comics version is WAY MORE BRUTAL.
Because superman isn't stabbed. He and Doomsday basically just punched each other so much they died, so we see superman bleeding and covered in horrible bruises while standing in the rubble of metropolis.
I'll be honest Superman's death made me cry even though I saw the first adaption Superman Doomsday.

Doomsday does not have elemental powers, it was just on fire.
Doomsday's primary power is essentially Dragonball's Zenkai, but taken to the extreme along with the ability to regenerate/resurrect. That said, killing it is only temporary as it resurrects stronger than before. It was permanently killed off in at least one instance though by stranding it at the end of time.
Supes is hot when he's beat up, Diane's hot when she's mad.. I think I know how that relationship got toxic
His name is Doomsday, he's a literal killing machine that doesn't think only kills anything or anyone in his sights.
This movie very accurately shows what an absolute homicidal force of nature Doomsday was. This was an enemy Superman HAD to kill...because if he didn't, Doomsday would have killed EVERYONE

This is the Doomsday I know, such a relentless and unstoppable killing machine that lives to kill regardless and never stops, instead of whatever we got in Batman v Superman (2016).
He was made to be the monster that would kill Superman, and they put out the stops in doing so

Basically the whole thing with Doomsday is him being basically the most dangerous and unstoppable creature in existence. He was originally born on prehistoric Krypton and was genetically experimented on and thrown into the hellish landscape of ancient Krypton and every time he would die, the scientist would just continue to build up his resistances to the point where he became a walking slab of pure evolution. He is literally impossible to kill for good because his physiology makes it so that he will just restore and come back just fine

I think the Dog that we see with Damian was the same Puppy Raven gave to him at the end of the second Titans movie. In the comics and Batman Beyond series the Dog's name is Ace (the Bat Hound)
This is probably my fav out of these movies and the amount of disrespect during the emotional moments in this reaction tho. Oh well, the Constantine movie was a little more emotional/depressing and different things make different people cry.

Lois Lane is superman's true love, 96% of the Multiverse it's Lois Lane that he's with, if anything it's Diana that is the side piece and only 4% of the time is Wonder Woman with Superman and those times are only when Lois Lane was either dead or he has never met her yet, chill.

Doomsday was created to be the ultimate lifeform. He can eventually overcome any obstacle. They changed him in the New 52 but his original real origin he was created on prehistoric Krypton.
You made a mistake in that “The Death Of Superman” was not a story from the DC’s 52 universe since the story came from 1992.
I really liked this film as Superman is my favourite comic book character and I really liked the Death of Superman original story and have a copy of the original story as a graphic novel. This film executes the death of Superman so much better than Batman v Superman (2016) did, as we have already established Superman/Clark Kent as a character and we see his struggle to save as many people as possible and to take down something as unstoppable as Doomsday, as Doomsday is literally a force of destruction and was genetically mutated to become a living killing machine with no morals whatsoever and exists only to kill, and the fact that this creature can kill Clark after so much destruction and brutalise the Justice League, only emphasises what type of threat Doomsday is.
If you don't know Bibbo you don't read Superman comics. He doesn't get put in movies but he shows up in the comics all the time.
Ima just assume the dog is Ace the Bathound. Which is the logical assumption. Though with Damien in the comics i believe they had the Batcow.

In the comics Superman dated a mermaid. They were implying that she was quite a "catch" that the same is true in this universe.

so some comics stuff:
this movie is an adaptation of the 90's storyline The Death of Superman. During that period: Lex Luthor had given himself a younger, cloned body to avoid death by cancer, giving himself luscioc red hair and beard and pretending to be a good guy by convincing everyone he was his son; Superman had revealed his true identity to lois lane and they got married (Superman hooking up with Wonder Woman was something from the New 52 reboot, so them being a couple wasn't a thing at this point); Hank Henshaw was an astronaut who went to space with his wife and friends who were rescued by superman but contracted debiliating mutations that seemingly killed Henshaw and the rest of his crew and other stuff that isn't important right now.
SO yeah this film is basically taking a lot of elements DIRECT from the comic, just changing some things to fit with the New 52 timeline the aniamted movies were following (hence, Superman dating Wonder Woman only to break up with her here).
Other differences I'll bring up in the Reign of the Superman video.
