This beautiful song has to be one of the most under rated songs of all time, for sure when it only charted at #17 on May 16th, 1986. It did hang on the charts for 18 weeks though which is quite a tribute to Don and Phil. RIP Phil. I rate this song a NUMBER 1 and definitely one of the best from 1986 hands down. Play it on a good system, and the music/drums will pull you in. Thank you Don and Phil again for this gem.
This is such a beautiful song by one of the greatest duos of all time and when this song came out in 1986 I bought the 45 single right away and I was so glad it became a country single, it got up to #17 on the country charts and it was their last hit song. Rest in peace Phil Everly. You will never be forgotten. You and your brother's music will play on forever.♥️👍🎸🎵🎶
Just saw the sad news that Don Everly passed away. Love their songs especially this one. He's now with his brother Phil and both are singing to all the ones in heaven.🙏🎸🎶🎵😔😥
Last night I read that Don had died & it felt like the end of an era. The Everly Brothers' unique vocal style, intricate harmonies, and dual guitars are what set them apart, and are what have inspired musicians ever since. They went through some tough times. Stiffed by their recording company (Acuff-Rose), serious drug addiction, and a change in musical tastes derailed their career. But their music is what will live on forever. I'm so glad I was alive to hear their career take off. The Everly Brothers are a rich part of musical history. They were inducted into the inaugural year of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1986, along side Sam Cook, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, James Brown, Fats Domino, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis Presley. Talk about ground-breaking music.
I just started singing this song randomly for some reason today and I didn't even remember who did it but I always loved it. Mustve been the Everlys last charted song. So sad and beautiful 😍
I remember this great song. My late brother Sean & I used 2 sing this great song. Thanks RUclips channel 4 havin such great songs from 1950s thru 2000+s. Keep up the good work.
one of my favorite EB songs. Was SO excited when this album came out because I never expected another one...They sounded so fantastic still...Brilliant. Thanks so much for posting..I wish Sirius XM had an EB channel!!!!
I remember being in college and hearing this song KMCD 1570 in Iowa ...Hard to believe it was that long ago .....Aging is like waking up from a bad dream , only to find out it's real
People always talk about how beautifully they sing together - but what is not often verbalized is what truly great singers they both were. This is so nice - but too bad the videographer had to ruin this with the images of a woman in a bathing suit, making it look like a tampon commercial. The two of them singing and playing on the porch is so visually nice - the director should have left well enough alone!
i love this song - it must have been odd for them making music videos - but they looked great - the girl in this video looks like the same one in the amanda ruth video - i wonder if one of them was dating her?
They were outstanding. I imagine Don Everly is in his seventies now and is probably enjoying retirement. but you never know perhaps he will do a song maybe with ''Barry Gibb'' how bout a group called the ''Past times'' Don Everly,Barry Gibb, Mickey Dolans,Bobby Goldsboro
that's a lovely thought Dan, but I feel there was only one person Don was meant to sing with & he did, his baby brother Phil, one of my all time favorite singers... RIP & dearly missed
This isn't the original video and isn't relatable to the song. The video where the couple has a spat but then make up is much more relatable. THIS THING SUCKS!!
Aren't they the best duo ever?!!
The Best Singing Duo ever exists
ABSOLUTELY TRUE !!!
a trick: watch series at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies recently.

Amen to that!! I totally agree @Steve D. It’s a fabulous song with wonderful harmonies.
Probably my favorite song of when they were together. Their sound is fantastic. Phil's voice is just heavenly...
The Everly sound will live forever
Phil is singing with the angels. Miss and always love him.
The way they both disappeared at the end of this video is now heartbreaking

Fr6313. If this makes you feel old, think about those of us who can remember when they first appeared on tv in 1957!! Feel better now?
@@marlenalinne7958 lol, I still feel old...very old. I can't relate to the music of today no matter how hard I've tried...so I just stopped trying.
Marlena Linne I can actually say I wasn’t born yet but I’m not young anymore either. I was born three years later.
@@chainamarie03 I hear ya. 😊

song would sound great and timely in 1955, 1985, when it came out, and today. Take another song and try that fit. Amazing piece of time-less music.

Don turned 81 on Feb 1.

I don't think he will. Phil and Don we're really close. U can tell they had magic between them, by the way they look at each other.
