- James Gunn has said something that is so great to hear! This makes me very excited not only for Superman but for the DCU in general! Hey everyone, welcome back to The Road To Superman. This is the web series where we follow all the latest updates and rumours regarding the Superman reboot. Sounds like it’s gonna be fun, I hope they don’t kill off jon Kent because something like that would be such a massive change from all the film iterations. Having both parents there for Clark to turn to when he’s in a crisis is such a human trait that could help ground the character.
🚨Note: There are several comic books and animated shows of Superman, PA Kent did not die and others PA Kent did die.

@@MrLeAnthony yeah of course the majority of versions of Superman has a living father. Since the John Byrne man of steel comic pa Kent has always been around until new 52. But in instances like action comics 775 where Clark is lost he turns to his father for advice which is always nice to see.

Zack Snyder while filming Man of Steel said his take is a Superman truly existing in our world today. That is what MOS.
I’m really excited to see the Christopher Reeve documentary this September, and the fact that it’s going to debut the DC Studios logo is pretty cool.

🚨 Gunn was writing his Superman movie before he was CEO.
- WB asked gun to make a movie for Superman before he was CEO and he came up with a new take on Superman and was already writing the movie before he was CEO .
🚨- The Rock, played interference push for Cavill, who I do like a lot as Superman, to return in Black Adam. Black Adam failed and WB/DC continued with Gunn’s Superman Movie he was already writing.
I’ll see the movie in IMAX, DOLBY and whatever other format is available for me. So possibly three to four times.

I’m very much still on fence with this movie because I’m just not a fan of James Gunn or his style of filmmaking. I’ll give it a chance because I am a Superman fan. So I have no expectations or major anticipation right now.

I don’t hate Gunn but his style of writing movies is different than what I prefer most of time. I did like GoG 1 and 3.
I do get your point and agree. I have hope because Gunn also knows how many comic fans, especially DC Fan sees him. He knows the importance of this movie and how it effect the future of DC movies.
I believe he will deliver a good maybe great Superman Movie that will make $650 million up to 1 Billion. All it needs $650 million to be a success.

1. WBD needs Superman to work to make DC more valuable.
2. The Fact WBD spent millions of dollars to invest in building DC Studios. They will come correct to make nothing less than a good, great, or epic traditional for modern day Superman Story.
3. Gunn is not my first choice but all eyes are on him. This movie will make or destroy his career. Gunn style is not mine but he proved in GOG3 / Blackburn, he can is capable to create outside of his traditional style.
4. I am not alone here, I am Snyder Fan; Superman for 50 years continues to be my #1; I am also a DC Fan. (Keeping Superman out of the spot light for a year is great marketing that creates the interest for more general fans and the true fans.) DC Fans will support this movie and general fans/audience will also go see the movie.
5. WBD has invested to much it will be a good or better movie:
- If it is a good story $650 million
- if it is a great story $850 million
- if it is an epic story $1 Billion
5. Yes I still desire to see Cavill as Superman and Snyder’s Story but, more DC Fans and general fans want to see a Superman from the comics for modern day. I did get it at first; but, it’s clear now.
6. 🚨 Business Facts: The only chance we may ever see Snyder’s vision is if the DCU is successful. If they are making money it in the future opens the door for the Multiverse or Black Label for us Snyder Fans. They are building to a Crisis Story, it makes sense.
⭐️ ⭐️ Remember a successful DCU is the only chance for a Black Label or Multiverse continuation of the Snyderverse.
Yes, Snyder supports James and the DCU.
Snyder Said this about the DCU: “You know, I'm a pretty open book. I really feel like, you know, if the characters are treated with reverence, and mythologically correct, then I'm down. I'm in. Let's see what happens. I'm pretty excited[...] I mean, we're going to get Superman pretty soon, so we'll see what that's like.”

James Gunn films always have outstanding VFX, Guardians 3 should have won the Visual Effects Oscar imo, and The Suicide Squad should have been nominated (and if it weren’t in the same year as Dune I would say it should have won)

I doubt Snyder would've said a bad word about the DCU or Gunn, really. Especially since they've worked together before. At least David Ayer's pessimism, though not directed at Gunn, makes more sense seeing how the studio turned his already finished Suicide Squad into a comedy. Still, the amicable feeling between creatives probably won't trickle to fandoms, if RUclips comment sections are any indication.

3:21 that doesn’t make sense because isn’t Superman being rushed out as well since Gunn only started writing early last year and just got into production this year. And is expected to release next year. The movie is gonna be rushed.

I have great difficulty believing anything Gunn says as he has a pretty terrible track record of either being confused with his own past statements and can't keep them straight or just outright lie altogether.
I can believe Zack reaching out to Gunn. Zack is a super nice guy. Gunn reaching out to Zack? No. I don't believe Gunn follows Zack at all.

There's no way the production of this movie is that short especially with all them characters this sounds like a josstice league debacle again meaning the more meaningful scenes will be left on the cutting room floor substituted with reshot scenes that add nothing to the film
