I would love to see you try the vudu mullet swim baits and give me your opinion on them i love them. The 4.5 inch seem to work better than the 3.5 inch . You get further cast and they seem to swim a little deeper than the small ones. Would love to see a video with you trying them please.

I use a 7.5 foot redbone rod ($100) with a Penn battle 2 4000 reel ($90) and catch everything from snapper to snook reds tarpon and trout. More than sensitive enough for the the small ones, and plenty of backbone for the big ones.

Tough fishing down there vs your home water huh? And as you saw windy = forget it... too exposed. The further west you run the better chances you’ll have for redfish. Hit the rip rap around bridges for the barracuda when your sick of catching those little snapper. Then use the cut up cuda as bait for big sharks on the deep channels between the flats.
