But the kinds of businesses in the den don't have that kind of proven growth, and if they did, they wouldn't be in the den

Granted, the guy didn't have a track record on leasing or selling these sheds, which was the biggest problem.... but why do they always have a problem with entrepreneurs starting a new business that plays off their old one? Like you would have to have them manufactured somewhere, and because he's got a business that already deals with this scrap wood, he can get the stuff cheap because of that. What's the difference between dealing with another manufacturer for your product and dealing with him?

The Oakenclough Buildings factory burned down 3 months later so now the owner just owns some land and burnt grass. WeQ4U however went on to win many awards and was sold at £3 million, so it's a good job the 100% sole owner didn't allow any gobby investors into his top notch company.
How is she not replaceable Peter? when she has already built the business and the systems.. Hire a decent manager and I'm sure she would be able to walk away for 90% of the time..
