I think they came on for publicity. I don’t really understand why that business would require multiple raises, it’s a low-capex business, they aren’t buying big bits of machinery or setting up production plants before they can generate revenue, they’re getting someone else to print books they’ve written in China and having them shipped over and delivered using someone else’s distribution network. Doesn’t make sense why they need to raise so much money.
What is also insane is an investor asking for more than 3x what you were offering and expecting not to be shut down. You realise a lot of the Dragons investments fail and they are not "Mentoring them" they might check in occasionally but have bigger businesses that take their time. Peter is probably more concerned about the fact that 46 of his 52 Jessops stores have now closed!
20% for 60,000 was a fantastic offer, and much more realistic than their 800,000 valuation for 45 repeat customers. One of the rare occasions that Peter started with something acceptable.

A fairytale in a mix of English and Norwegian, with activities in it for you to learn to translate, QR codes to their website to learn pronunciation, and it eventually becomes entirely Norwegian. By the second book, nothing's in English. Their idea is nothing new lol

coldbrew coffee is different from just cold coffee. by not heating it in the first place a lot of the bitterness that would otherwise dominate when the coffee cooled don't leave the beans. it's quite nice in my opinion, never hurts to give something a try before writing it off

I think the dragon’s response to advisory shares was frankly ludacris. Super glad those guys did a good job building the business and get a 2.6 million valuation 8 months after this episode where they only valued the business at 800k. Advisory shares aren’t too uncommon on shark tank and the only problem these guys made was entering the den with no room to negotiate. That’s just silly but all too common amongst entrepreneurs on these types of shows
