  • Picked up a set of ISR pro coilovers along with their camber arms, toe arms, and eccentric lockout kit. This video contains an overview of the items as well as a step by step install.
    I went with ISR's because currently they seem like the best bang for the buck option
    in the 350Z suspension arena.
    If you would like to see a review of these coilovers after I have had some time to drive them around I would be happy to do it just comment in the video.

      They are a little stiff especially in the rear but I am not complaining especially for the price. If you purchase and install make sure there is no load on the springs when you put them in. I had a tiny bit of preload and that contributes to the stiffness of mine. 🙂👍

    Hey man so do you have to get a lock out kit or can i just reuse the stock bolts

  • @bman409
    @bman409 3 года назад +1

    @5:42 - You mentioned the spring rates 14kg/mm and 12kg/mm which equals to 783 lb/in and 671 lb/in. It's the amount of force it takes for it to travel down, with those specs it's gonna be a stiff ride. You should upgrade the sway bars too next, definitely will feel like it's on rails. Lol.
    Looks good though, I have Whiteline 1inch lowering springs with 19's and it passes the shoe test, can't even put my toe in there. You should get wider tires though, it'll fill the wheel well up more. I run 245/35 and 275/35. I may switch to 255/35 soon though for the front.

    • @therealjessescheel
      @therealjessescheel  3 года назад

      Good info!! Thank you for that! 🙂
      I am trying to keep the tire size down to keep them cheap as I will be trying to learn how to drift here shortly. The bigger the tire the more they cost but I hear ya.
      Dual caliper in the back will add about 8mm and if thats not enough I may do a small spacer as well. Also trying to keep same size as up front so everything is interchangeable. 👍

    • @bman409
      @bman409 3 года назад

      @@therealjessescheel It doesn't really look like you need spacers though unless you going for the hella flush. I think your wheel offset is +18 right? That's kinda of a nice offset. I'm running +22 and +30, but with added spacers which gives me +17 and +15.
      It looks like you're running a stretch tire combo too, which is actually unsafe, that's why I mentioned to run a wider tire. Square setup is good though cause then you can rotate your tires and get more life, plus the car is neutral. I'm staggered and it feels like the car pushes in the corner. You might want to look into 255 or 265 tire sizes that'll fit your 9.5 wheels. Hankook sells decent priced tires. You're on 18's too so it shouldn't be too expensive opposed to my 19's, you know that odd size usually cost more.

    • @therealjessescheel
      @therealjessescheel  3 года назад

      @@bman409 Great info! Yeah maybe I should look into the bigger tire that all makes sense. +18 is correct.
      I am taking it to a drift event tomorrow and we will see how it shakes out and go from there. 🙂👍

    • @therealjessescheel
      @therealjessescheel  2 года назад +1

      They are still in! Great High Value option. They are on the stiffer side of coilovers even on their soft settings but for what you pay idk how you beat them. I am dropping a video later today called "The Perfect 350Z" and talk about them in there briefly. If money is not an object go BC or something higher end. If wanting to maximize bang for buck buy ISR's!

      Hey Brandon! It is ok. I have intentions of doing a review on them in the next few weeks. Just wanted a lot of drive time before I made it. They are stiff. My biggest complaint is that I wish they offered a lower spring rate in back to soften the bumps a little bit. The ride although amazing in corners can get a little annoying on a straight and bumpy road. Still really hard to beat the quality for the price in my opinion. 😊👍

      Great video. Super helpful. I was also considering the Ksport coilovers with 12 & 6.3 spring rates since it's just for drive quality, no track use. Based on your comments this may be a better option (less stiff). Any thoughts? I just can't tell if they have the remote rear damper adjustment. I liked how you modified the rear setup for easy access. Thanks.
