I've been fishing the NED rig all summer and fall. It never fails to catch fish. I started experimenting with different size NED heads and plastics and I'm catching even more than I was early in the summer. It's my favorite bait. I use a coppertreuse in most conditions. I switch to a junebug or black plastic in lower light or cloudy conditions and it just plain catches bass. My only issue with fishing the NED rig is that I do have a tendency to lose a few more than fishing with other baits. That could very well be my technique and inexperience. Great video Ty!
I'd love to branch out on baits, but unfortunately I bought (4) packs of ZMan TRD on sale in 2022 so I wont need anymore baits around 2052 or so after those packs are used up.
Tyler, I really respect your opinion. When I use a ned rig, I will invariably gut hook some poor bleeding minnow. I hate that. I try to really focus, but it happens anyway. What can I do to lessen the risk to deep hooked fish?

I never gave any thought to rod size, You make a good point. Im going to try out a shorter rod next time.
The 4" Big TRD has been killer for me the last 2 years. I need to try the littler sizes more (cut lures).
5” would be more shaky head presentation?
