Formed in 1967 by Shintaro Ishida, a leading pedal steel player, City Lights now features his daughter, Miya, on vocals and has had the same members for nearly 20 years.
The group performs a wide range of music from standard country music to the latest original compositions, and their regular concerts, sponsored by Koto Ward Cultural Community Foundation and supported by Cabinet Secretariat Beyond2020, Agency for Cultural Affairs have attracted a cumulative total of 8,000 people. He has released 10 albums, including four instrumental albums on pedal steel guitar. He has received high acclaim both in Japan and abroad.
Formé en 1967 par Shintaro Ishida, un grand joueur de pedal steel, City Lights compte aujourd'hui sa fille, Miya, au chant, et compte les mêmes membres depuis près de 20 ans.

there is a reason why in all those dystopian cyberpunk movies and games the signs have Japanese writing on them, Japan is the last place in the world great human culture will die
you guys sound okay, but you sound a little uptight, try to let the music FLOOOOWWW
THE DESIRED SOUND IS ALL THERE but you sound also like a bunch of hyped up kids in a disco teche, the beat is too fast for the mood this music should portray, too fast for swing dancing, the dancers might trip on each others feet, your piano guy sounds NERVOUS, and your guitar man fumbles about a bit, steel guitar is fair, and i am asking you, dont be discouraged, you got it going on, but you bring these things together, lighten up a bit, slow down a tad, and you will have it licked, KEEP PRACTICING AT IT, and you will have a FAN
