    Watching your videos gives me nightmare flashbacks back when I had to try and learn the metric system in the US back in the 70's.

    • @teovm
      @teovm 7 лет назад

      J High US is based on the metric system and then converts to US customary units. This is why it is mandatory to study metrics in schools. US is one of the first 17 countries to adopt the metric system and has one of the 17 copies of 1kg ball used to define what is 1kg. This item is one of the most precious things in the USA as this is the thing that is used to guarantee what is the weight of everything produced and everything that is weight related like Force. It is a priceless item as this makes the world to tick now. Be proud of that.

    Kris...great video. Good to see some balance. Not everything about the XC90 is prefect but compared to other SUVs at this price point, the XC90 is perfectly executed and best in class. Enjoyed it!

    @Kris, the steering column doesn't have an electric drive because of safety reasons. After a crash they simply work, while electrfied columns often don't. It's much easier to get a person out of a crashed car by moving the steering wheel

      Volvo Vovka aha, makes sense!

      The same strategy not offering "soft close doors". I'm wondering if the all new Volvos have them.

    The steering wheel centre is because of the airbag - other materials would not allow the airbag to deploy correctly.

    I understand that your test car got the laminated windows. My XC90 does not, and I find it to be a bit noisier than I expected. Have you tried the XC90 with and without the laminated windows and how big of a difference do you think it makes?

    • @KrisRifa
      @KrisRifa  7 лет назад

      My 2016 XC90 does not have laminated windows and there is a noticeable difference - but I know that the XC90 is a bit "sensitive" to tire make and model. The Michelin Latitude Sport 3's on my car are not the quietest tires, and an S90 tester I had a back while was fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport's and those are also quite noisy. The V90CC I tested back in April was fitted with Nokian tires and rode very silent - all cars I've tested from Volvo have had laminated windows.

    Pls what's the difference between the T6 and T8 designs. and do you have a twitter handle as well thanks

  • @davidmoody7252
    @davidmoody7252 7 лет назад

    The XC90 T8 hybrid doesn't have foglights like the t6 because those vents cool the battery. T6 inscription model has fog lights because no cooling is needed.

    Too much plastic!!! My crystal came off. It was glued to a quarter size metal piece. What pisses me off is that Volvo USA does not respond to customer complaints. The regional guy refuses to fix it. I did not glue it to the quarter size piece. Too much plastic and glue. I have 6,000 miles on it. Also the suspension is sub par. I will trade in for an audi or bmw m series.

    Eh, foglights, is it something you realy can use, i dont get it, they light up so close to the car so you cant see anything with them on, i think its just a gimmick.

    • @KrisRifa
      @KrisRifa  7 лет назад +2

      seppo nurmi on the XC90 they can also work as cornering lights. Really useful at lower speeds when it's dark 😊

    • @Mr_Seppo
      @Mr_Seppo 7 лет назад

      realy?
      they dont luminate enough to help

      the cornering lights on the XC90 definitely help in the dark.

    • @KrisRifa
      @KrisRifa  7 лет назад +2

      seppo nurmi hmm.. if they don't help on your XC90 I'd take it back to the dealer and have them repair it, because on my car they help imense at low speeds.

    Dude...stop whinning about bullshit stuff. The Volvo XC90 is excellence based on todays standards. If you are not modern guy and don't appreciate the minimalist style. Then you won't appreciate the car. Love Volvo, love Volvo, love Volvo.

    • @KrisRifa
      @KrisRifa  7 лет назад +1

      Dude.... as I stated in the beginning, the video is not to be taken very serious. I own a 2018 XC90 that I've driven more than 80k kilometeres since new, and I have a channel with almost exclusively Volvo's. Nobody loves Volvo more than me dude ;)

    • @toptobottom247
      @toptobottom247 7 лет назад

      So...while we're on that subject. What happened to the super station wagon. I abandon this channel after you did a video ditching OUR (I have a T8) car for the ultra stylish wagon.
