Hey buddy how the heck you doing man I've watched your videos for about 3 years I've never commented or spoke with you but you've got me hooked I'm catfish in lake chatuge in Western North Carolina and yeah we use different bait here but I've learned a lot from you and you keep doing that video and maybe we'll see one another you like me you put a lot of time in that's how you get the big cats catfish and have a good buddy and we'll talk soon and be safe
Well better then getting skunked it's cold in the low 30s at night this week only barely 40 for highs so watching you help feed my fishing needs kinda lol stay safe out there justin
You NEED to come to NC and fish Lake Tillery and Lake Badin. Tillery is known for state record blue cats. Your method of fishing would produce for sure.
What happened to the catfish on jigs using the Livescope? I thought you were going to keep doing that till you hooked a big one? Looked like lots of fun.
we got a snow last night and its been in the 20s at night and 30s during the day. about 2 hours to my north they got 8.8 inches Muskegon just off lake Michigan, lake lake enhancement was crazy for their area. its been a good while since we got a Halloween snow and to stick at that. had to stick the yak in the shed to keep it protected and gonna try to fit my trailer in the other shed so i can paint it this winter maybe redo the wiring. i was glad to get the tractor situated i had a feeling this would happen. i may still get a few days to sneak off yet for everything freezes over things it should warn back up some. some nice cats there J dang ole bluegill
I was wondering because when the video first started it was still a little dark and the Skipjack were kinda grainy if that makes sense to you. Also the first head piece the blood looked a little brown, But you had a Great picture with the Blue skies later on. Still hoping you catch that Blue with the Black mark for the 3rd time this year. @@KayakCatfish
Skip Jack, mooneye ,shad or most any bait are a blast to catch. I love fishing this time a year. The fish are congregated in deeper spots , not super active but will just grab a easy meal. I believe you need a dog with alot shorter legs.
For the next 3 months I’ll be fishing vicariously through you videos. Had lumbar fusion surgery this morning. Got an off shore trip in April that I need to get ready for 😂😂😂
My favorite channel by far 👍Don’t know what it is about those head baits but here in Michigan we get more action on heads than chunks,we use blue gill, rock bass ,crappie, white bass don’t have the skips-keep doing what you do and be safe
Those skipjack are fun to catch on an ultralight, i remember a trip to a dam (pickwick i think) and we caught hundreds on twin tail grubs and a few nice hybrids too.
Thanks for another great video. I finally found a bait shop that sells skippies about 45min from the house can't wait to give it a try I wish we had them in our water even though we don't it's still worth a try. I wish someone sold shad, but no one around does shad, trout, and bluegill are our main baitfish.I do good on trout late winter early spring, then they go back deep to cooler water. Then it's mainly bluegill for a fresh bait hard to catch shad from the bank I've never had much luck doing it speaking of luck I have as much luck with bluegill as you do so not a really good bait anyway let's get busy and enjoy this 17deg. day.
Must be nice to use bait from a previous trip. We just use live bluegills for Flatheads in Michigan for the most part. I have caught them on cut bait as well.

You should try out a flasher unit to vertically fish for your catfish. It’s old technology but it sure would be cool to see how you utilize it in open water. 😎
@@KayakCatfish I didn't know if it had big cats or not someone told me it had some real deep holes on it, thought maybe might make a road trip and find out if it has big cats or not, Thanks!
Just starting to change to fall colors? We've already had 2 snowstorms up here! Halloween was so cold that they moved trick-or-treating to the schools so the kids wouldn't freeze.
When you're stuck at work and can't fish.
Watching the next best thing.

Jig bite died off in the spring. I’ll try it again this winter when the shad stack up in the creeks.

There’s nothing that beats a good head bait thump!!
Enjoyed it Man. Thanks
After al these years. Still loving your video's.
Thanks Justin.
A beautiful day on the water and fish beats eight hour work days anytime, Still love the new camera GREAT contrast!!
This video was filmed with the old camera. I was curious if anybody would notice lol.

Justin ….. enjoyed the video !
Your MUSTACHE retired disabled cop from Connecticut
Not a super trooper 😂
Haha!
Justin I swnt those fish a memo on how to stay out of lines and ropes, and I can't tell you the words they used telling me no.😂😂
You make it look so easy out there. Nice catches Justin!
Another great video Justin. I'm all caught up on regular videos, now to work on the lives. Patiently waiting for the next one! Have a blessed night.
Thank you Teri!

You have turned me into a kayak cat fisherman😂 gotta get me some sumo stingers

Can you make a video on how you tie the fly onto the circle hook?
He's got one. I saw it last week. Can't remember the title though.
@Brianh1972 Oh dang, I'll have to do some searching then. Thanks!
Already done. The search box is your friend.
Man it’s spitting snow here. My kayak season might be done. 😢

Justin have you ever fished Norris lake? And great looking blues brother!
I don’t ever fish on Norris
@@KayakCatfish I didn't know if it had big cats or not someone told me it had some real deep holes on it, thought maybe might make a road trip and find out if it has big cats or not, Thanks!
Another great video brother!
Will Flatheads bite with temperatures in the 40's. Dang snowstorm here in Michigan.
The bite slows down but I still catch them with water temps down to low to mid 40’s
Is you other kayak out of order for the year dont get me wrong lover the bare bones but love the spotlock
I just wanted a break from the motors and electronics. It’s good to get back to simple fishing sometimes.
Buitiful sky line. Now, make me laugh while you catch a dozen golly wopers!!!
Hey I was going to ask you about the stinger Flys I was planning on getting some but I don't have a boat would they work good for bank fishing or no
I doubt they would be very effective from the bank unless you were fishing under a float to keep your bait off bottom
@@KayakCatfish ok thank you do you have any float recommendations if not I will see what I can find
great cats, alll day long
Uh oh . He's mr fancy Shimano now lol
Been using them for a couple years. Thanks for watching so often
Catfish aren't rude like people. They don't bring their cameras & phones to the dinner table. Lol
Whats the temps doen there here near Cincinnati is low 30s at night and 50s during the day
Gonna freeze here tonight
We had a couple very cold mornings here with frost supposed to be back up in the 70s this upcoming week hoping I can get out and do some bank fishing
Just starting to change to fall colors? We've already had 2 snowstorms up here! Halloween was so cold that they moved trick-or-treating to the schools so the kids wouldn't freeze.
Haha! That’s crazy. Supposed to be back in the 70’s here next week.
Is fresh bait way better than old rotten bait in your opinion
Definitely
I still say it would be cool with the camera on Daphne 😂
Haha! Daphne would probably chew the camera up lol
Whew idk how you’re going to do it the next few days, gonna be cold around here.
I’ll be at the house until it warms up lol
Abt. 5:06 looks like PEOPLE spelt int the clouds next to your head
OK Justin when are you going to race that speedster dog of yours again? You tired of the dog showing you up?
She needs to get us some more bikes to race. She has been slacking lately.
Not fishing from the Hobie again ?
What rod and reel is that?
All my gear is listed in the video description
Do you catfish in the months of December through March?
Some days I would love to catch those low IQ fish!! Another great video.
You should go back and estimate total pounds of fish caught this year and try to beat that weight next year. 1000s of pounds of catfish!
Simmer down!!!!
You are fishing
Not fishing from the hobie?
Took a break from the motor and electronics
